Le Graffalgar (Strasbourg, Grand Est) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Talk is cheap for some so-called “art hotels,” but the Hôtel Graffalgar has gone all the way, giving local artists a free hand to decorate its rooms in any way they saw fit. Visually, it’s anything but a theme hotel; each of its 38 spaces is entirely distinct, some graffiti-inspired, others steampunk, or forested, or dazzlingly Op-inspired. The restaurant, or Graffateria, is a multifarious all-day affair, and there’s a lounge space for co-working, meeting, or simply relaxing. Strasbourg, too, is said to be France’s most bike-friendly city, and bikes are available for guests’ convenience." - Tablet Hotels

This hotel is a very unique budget hotel. Each room has different design. You can actually choose to book the room you like. But I advise you if you are teller than 1.62/5"4, you better not to book the rooms on 4th floor and above. I had booked a single room. I could only sign into their wifi with one device. If you want to use their wifi with more than one device, you have to ask the front desk. I don't know if they'll charge you. I don't recommend the breakfast supplied by the connected "Hey Mama". €16 for full breakfast is way too pricey for the food they provided. €8.5 for the small one (one juice, one hot drink, 3 pastries and jams).

Do not believe any of the reviews!!!! Rude, impolite and scammers !!! After making us change our room because of their booking mistake , they told us we can't have a room between 12 and 2 when we said this is very unfair since we have paid for 3 days we were treated very rudely by two ladies who unfortunately I do not know their names. We decided not to even stay another night , So when we said we want to not check back in and we want our money back for the next 2 days they refused to give us our money even though the hotel does not have any kind of cancelation policy and they shouldn't have even charged us the full 3 nights in advance if they wanted to make us check out and check back in the next morning .Still I wouldn't even recommend anyone to stay here if all of this had not happened to us because this establishment does not deserve 3 stars as I wouldn't even describe it as a Hotel but more as a Hostel. The only difference it has with a hostel is you have a bathroom in your room . I have traveled to many countries and stayed in all classes of accommodations from top 5 star hotels to 3 star hotels to AirBnB , I have never been treated so poorly!!! Before all this happened I very politely pointed out that all the pictures they have online and in booking show white towels and thats what people are expecting when they make a reservation but now that they have grey towels maybe they should update the pictures and the response I got was that they prefer grey!! This isn't about color preference but mostly about false advertisement because some people only stay at places with white towels and sheets because on white you can see if its clean and has been washed daily , so when a guest suggests to change your pictures you shouldn't reply by saying but I prefer grey !!!! Again RUDE RUDE RUDE !!! We preferred to just forget about the money they had charged us and not stay at this awful place even one second longer !!!

The location is convenient and very close to the train station and nearby attractions. I stayed for one night in mid-June this year. The family room had only one chair, which was a bit inconvenient for 4 people. The weather was very hot at the time. Although the room provided an electric fan, it wasn’t enough for four people. This place is more suitable for guests who spend most of their time sightseeing outside. The room is mainly just for going back at night to sleep.

Friendly front desk staff. Reception is not 24hrs, remember to inform the hotel if you're arriving late. Love the room design. Our room is 'Stew'. Apparently every room has own design, that's so cool! So much effort and creativity put into each room and for the hotel interior. Love every details.

Staff is great, with great location. However the room had no kettle, wifi signal was awful, and the room at the 4th floor had a low ceiling that was very uncomfortable to move on. On our room for four both individual beds had no night stand.

At this hotel where my love and I stayed, everything was very good. The location is great, and the reception was very hospitable:) When he found out that we were Turkish, he mentioned Kemal Sunal:)
