Grain in downtown Norfolk is one of those spots that instantly makes you think, “Yep… this is going to be good.” Fun atmosphere, great energy, and fantastic views of the harbor that make you feel like you’re dining inside a postcard 🌅😄. We rolled in on a Tuesday evening with a party of six, fully expecting a wait… but nope! Seated right away like VIPs who definitely did not call ahead 😂. The place wasn’t too busy, which made it perfect for relaxing and actually hearing each other talk. Our server — pretty sure his name was Leon — was awesome. Young guy, great attitude, and he kept our drinks topped off like he had a sixth sense for thirst levels 🥤✨. Checked on us often without hovering, which is a rare and beautiful talent. Now… the Norfolk Hot Chicken Sandwich. Oh. My. Goodness. Perfectly breaded, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside — basically the Beyoncé of chicken sandwiches 🔥🐔. The bacon inside was cooked perfectly (no floppy sadness here), and the toasted pretzel bun with that sweet mustard sauce? Chef’s kiss. Absolute harmony. The fries were crispy, seasoned just right, and honestly could’ve been a meal on their own 🍟😋. Went to all you can eat brunch on Saturday decent selection, but food was not hot unless u got it as soon as they brought it out. waffle an omelte was cooked to order so that was good and only hot food. $2 or $5 mimosas were really good.

Came here for brunch. This was our second time, since we had a great experience the first time. The location can't be beat, with great views from almost every table. Aidan provided great service and the live music was awesome. The servers at the omelets and tacos were great as well. However, the food was not great. Every item on the buffet looked as if it had been left out too long. Many items were dried out and when I asked if fresh food would be brought out, I was told "not until what is there is gone."

This people apart of keeping an amazing hotel operation has a great rooftop restaurant in the heart of Norfolk. There was nothing to do in town and they were life savers. Amazing food (turkey, roast beef, oysters, etc.), great music, and a fantastic view. Isaiah took care of our table and the service was A number 1.

Came here for a quick drink and lunch, and they delivered. Great beer selection, the spinach crab dip appetizer was lovely. The cheese steak was great, a little smaller than expected but every bite packed flavor. The fries were incredible and they gave me such a huge portion, it makes up for the smaller sandwich. The vibe was great, very laid back, our server was very helpful and friendly, service was quick, and I left very satisfied, would definitely come here again!

Our server John was great. Gave our 10 top everything we needed and was quick with his service. Good was great as well, the Ahi Tuna bowl was perfect portion and very refreshing. Great atmosphere and music! However finding seating was a little difficult! 9/10 experience :)))

This place used to be a place a raved about, they still have a great atmosphere and vibe and outdoor seating is beautiful with great views. However, the food isn’t as good as it used to be. The regular menu is fine, the food is good. But the weekend buffet! It used to be sooooooo good!!! Keyword USE to. They have cut the menu IN HALF. Idk if it’s new management or chefs that aren’t as passionate but it has lost its love and luster. It seems as time goes on it’s lessening too. They do have karaoke last time I could remember and they turn into kind of a club at night (idk which nights). The live music is nice. They have a free photo booth which is awesome. They really need to up their buffet game again! They are also kind of notorious for their servers not being the sweetest candy in the bag or super duper attentive but they do stay busy I can say that. Make the buffet better and and regular menu probably too and this place could be beyond 5 stars. Definitely not worth $40, the buffet used to be $31 too, more money for less food.

Great Atmosphere & Service! We had a really nice experience at Grain Restaurant. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were super attentive and friendly throughout the night. One of the highlights is definitely the rooftop seating – it adds so much charm and enjoyment to the whole experience. Loved the views and the vibe up there! The valet parking was also a big plus, making everything much easier from the start. The food was delicious, and we truly enjoyed every bite. We’ll definitely be coming back again soon. Highly recommended!
