Second time to come! The Japanese pancakes are fabulous! I give 5 stars! Highly recommended! The service is good here. Unfortunately, the forks, knifes, and dishes are not clean, so I only can give 4stars. The kitchen looks clean and tidy! So the atmosphere should be 5 stars!

After eating here twice on different occasions I would be able to recommend Gram. I haven't yet tried their pancakes, but I've had their Katsu don as well as their mushroom & avocado sandwich. Overal the Katsu don was great! It's breaded nicely, is flavorful and crispy, and not greasy. Although the sauce was on the saltier side, it was very good and full of flavor... I definitely am going to get this again! The sandwich unfortunately fell a little short. The only reason for this is because the bread was not toasted. Because it was just a slice of bread, it became a little soggy and the textures were just one note. Besides that, the mushrooms were cooked nicely and seasoned well. Service is spot on - Friendly, fast, and not pushy. The music is nice to listen to and isn't playing super loud.

We came here for brunch. My bf ordered the chicken benny. It was not fully cooked. Some parts, we can see that it is still hard and raw and not cooked. Half of my english muffin is hard and cannot be chewed. However, their cold pancakes are good. I will recommend their desserts.

Clean environment and very spacious. Menu is more sweet and breakfast dish. I love curry, so I ordered the Butter Chicken. The curry is mild sweet and non spicy. Very smooth and creamy. The chicken are strips of chicken breast, cooked nice and juicy. Will go back to have it again!

I really wanted to like this place because the decor and ambience is so nice, the cafe itself is super cute. But the pancakes fell completely flat for me, they were way too dense and basically a cakey texture. Granted, they did not advertise their name as soufflé pancakes. But that was implied by their photos and I was super disappointed when they came out and was nothing like actual soufflé pancakes. The texture was completely off. I wouldn’t recommend their espresso either, it was overly bitter because it was burnt.

Absolutely LOVED IT!!!! We got the Japanese fluffy pancakes that are just to die for :) The service was wonderful, our server was attentive, quality checked our meal and very sweet. My favourite was the truffled eggs avocado toast, the eggs were perfect, the truffle was unreal! It reminded me of a Australian breakfast or something from a fancy Bali brunch spot. There is an art to the perfect scrambled egg and they have mastered it! I’m so grateful. The Japanese roasted milk tea was also a highlight! Enjoy it, you won’t regret it :) We went for dinner but it’s great for any time of day * the only thing I would change is the plastic ramekin for the strawberries, I think it’s unnecessary waste and also costs the restaurant $, definitely on the side just on the plate would be ideal! *

Was there on Saturday afternoon and was surprised how they have a different menu than the other locations. Prior to my visit I checked the online menu but there wasn’t much. Not just pancakes but many more food options! We ordered up a storm! The server was very attentive and introduced the items in their menu and made some great suggestions! Will definitely return! I added menu photos!

Was excited for this to open but was a big disappointment. The blueberry milkshake was good not overly sweet, the tonkatsu set was so burnt the breading was breaking off it was too hard to eat 0/10 terrible, the salad it came with has no dressing and plain rice on the side really wasn’t worth $17+ my daughter wouldn’t eat it was too hard. The $4 cold matcha pancake was tasty until I found a hair inside. I didn’t complain I had already paid upfront since no one came to take my order and we were in a rush. I think the tonkatsu was double fried, cooked once then when ordered refried.

Yelp
I quite enjoyed my experience at Gram! When I walked in, I noticed that the space was very spacious and bright which I loved! We ordered: Peach Pancakes (an August special) - $9.99 Sukiyaki Rice Bowl - $20.99 Matcha Cool Premium - $5 I really enjoyed the fluffy pancakes in the Peach Pancakes! I thought it was super light + airy, and it paired so well with the sweet cream, syrup and fresh peaches!! I thought it was suchhh a deal since it was only $9.99!! The Sukiyaki Rice Bowl was really enjoyable! They really loaded up the beef and tofu in the rice bowl :) I also enjoyed the combo aspect, and there was a miso soup, salad and some vinegar cucumbers in it - this made the meal full of variety! The Matcha Cool Premium was good too! I was surprised that it was cold - I somehow expected it to be warm - but it makes sense since they need to pipe the matcha cream into it, heh! It was a great little snack, but I think getting the Peach Pancake for $9.99 is a much better bang for the buck!

Yelp
One of our friends in the group never had soufflé pancakes so one of us found this place for us to check it out. I've had soufflé pancakes at various places in California that are really good so I was ready to see if this place is just as good. First off, it is a very nice and cutely decorated shop. They offer a variety of drinks and breakfast item, and any regular pancakes you can upgrade to the soufflé one. The soufflé pancakes here are good but they are on the smaller size. The best one in my opinions is the caramelized banana one. So good! One thing I don't like about this place, or two, is that service TOOK FOREVER! Maybe they are new and that's why but when we were there, there was only 1 person in the front and 1 person working in the kitchen. I know that's why everything was so slow and took forever. Our lattes and coffee were also very weak. It was more milk than anything and the beans they used were definitely not strong at all, maybe a 2 out of 10. I don't really drink strong coffee but even I have to say there was too much caffeine in our caffeines.

Yelp
Cute and Cozy Cafe in Kerrisdale @gramcanada A must try spot for Jiggly & Fluffy Japanese Pancakes they also have a variety of other dishes that you can try along with a long list of cold and warm drink options. We tried: Bacon & Scrambled Eggs $16.00 Tea Cream Pearls $16.00 Japanese Roasted Milk Tea (50% sweet) $5.55 Iced Latte Coll Premium Pancake - Matcha Flavour (not pictured) $3.75 The Japanese roasted milk tea was refreshing and paired perfectly with both dishes. Both pancake dishes were delicious but my favourite was the Tea Cream Pearls because I am obsessed with anything BBT related Parking 4.5/5 Service 5/5 Food 5/5 Ambiance 5/5

Yelp
This newly open Japanese pancake cafe in Kerrisdale has eventually arrived after a very long "Coming Soon" since more than one year. Located in the W41 Avenue, the cafe is very spacious. Today I tried their Chili Bean set with regular pancakes, sausage and green salad. Generally speaking it met my expectation as a cafe in soft launch phase I would like to see their improvements in making the pancakes - the pancakes are quite dry, the potato in the green salad is slightly undercooked. Knowing the Japanese cafes usually serve iced water, but it would be good if warm water can be served in Winter. The ambiance is generally comfy and bright. BGM is not too loud. The Japanese servers are cheerful and polite. I can see they are under training but they are doing great. I'd like to try their signature soufflé pancakes in my next visit and looking forward to seeing the improvements in full launch.

Yelp
Recently visited the Gram Kerrisdale location and was really hope to try out their souffle pancake. Unfortunately, I was dissapointed to hear that they weren't able to serve it as we arrived 30 mins before closing and the souffle pancakes takes 30 mins to make. In the end I went for the tirimisu regular pancake. The pancake was a bit more dense than I liked and I didn't really find the flavour or cream resembling tirimisu too much. Possibly they are more popular for their souffle pancakes but will really have to try again next time to see if it is worth returning visits.

Yelp
This newly opened branch located at the heart of Kerrisdale offers a quiet and peaceful vibe. The staff is so attentive with our orders and was so polite in answering our questions and requests. It was our second time checking out the place and we were never disappointed. I suggest trying out their pancakes - they are known for their pancakes so you have to check it out. They also have rice bowls just in case you prefer a heavier meal although the options are limited.

Yelp
Check this place out! They've only been open for a week. It's a spacious and open concept inside with lovely shurbbery everywhere. The workers were very patient with us. My friends and I came in quite late, and we shared this souffle with cream inside, one "original" and one mango. Very moist and fluffy. I hope I can to go back and try more things next time!

Yelp
I showed up before 10:30, and ordered pancakes and a cappuccino. There were 3 other tables of 7 people total, and they'd all ordered (at least I didn't see them order after I did). The coffee was fine, but 30 min later I still hadn't gotten my pancakes and I was on a tight timeline. I asked when they would be ready and the server said about 5 min. I asked for them to go, and paid (and tipped, lol kind of a sore point for me). I waited a bit longer than 5 min but at that point they were still making someone else's order, so I had to leave without my food. Maybe my fault for expecting that pancakes could be made and eaten within 40-45 min but I wouldn't expect that it would take more than that to make. Most subpar $30 cappuccino I've had to date, at least it was huge. can't comment on the actual food. Hopefully the woman waiting to order enjoyed my pancakes. Do not recommend if you don't have all morning to sit and wait. Also noted that none of the tables got their food at the same time, there was always a bit of a wait between each person receiving their orders. PS sorry to the server if I was rude, I know it's not your fault. Enjoy your tip as a token of my apology
