"How did it strike you on arrival? It's all about maximalism here, where artist Julian Schnabel has created a fantasy land in crimson, velvet, leather, and wood. Dimly lit and tucked on a quiet corner across from Gramercy Park, it's kind of like an abstract painting come to life: it's anything but boring. What’s the crowd like? It's been a celeb hangout since opening in 2006, and the person you think looks like that singer, actress or model probably actually is that person. Most importantly: Tell us about your room. The term "haute bohemian" was made for the rooms here, swathed in color, with red sofas, drapes, carpet, and bed frame, and walls of pale blue and green. It's all incredibly romantic—or a bit over-the-top, depending on your affection for neutrals. It's not for everyone, but if you're willing to have an open mind when it comes to bold design, it's a lot of fun. We’re craving some deep, restorative sleep. They got us?The pillow-top mattresses make for a sound night of sleep. How about the little things, like mini bar, or shower goodies. Any of that find its way into your suitcase? The details lie in the fabrics, the drapes, the rugs—the surroundings are opulent and luxurious, and when you're here, you just want to soak it all in.Please tell us the bathroom won’t let us down. It's a beautiful bathroom, clad in dark oak with a wide marble sink and spacious shower. Best of all? The amenities are by Aesop. We all need Wi-Fi. What’s the word on that here?Fast, free Wi-Fi.Anything stand out about other services and features? Whether it’s childcare, gyms, spas, even parking—whatever stuck with you.Guests get access to the most exclusive patch of greenery in Manhattan, Gramercy Park itself (local residents are otherwise the only ones with keys to the gate). What was most memorable—or heartbreaking—about your stay? It's the sense that you're staying at a hotel unlike anywhere in New York among some of the most discerning people in the world.Bottom line: worth it, and why? It's that rare hotel that has everything: a world famous artist-conceived interior, one of the sexiest bars in Manhattan (and Maialino, one of the city's best Italian restaurants), and, maybe best of all, keys to the ultra-exclusive Gramercy Park." - John Wogan

Stayed three nights at this boutique hotel. I loved it! Just wished the roof top bar was open to the public. Would have been nice to be up there and enjoy drinks with that view, although the lounge off the lobby wasn't to shabby either. The restaurant adjacent to the lobby has a nice bar as well. Enjoyed room service one late night, hamburger and fries... delicious, but really expensive! I'd definitely stay here again....great experience with staff, quality linens, spacious room, wonderful decor & ambiance, beautiful Gramercy Park across street, lovely neighborhood.

Beautiful and unique space perfect for private events atop the Grammercy Park Hotel. Ambiance, elegance and the staff was attentive and accommodating. A keen eye or planner would be helpful to bbn plan out the space though the natural decor is awesome. A personal touch like shown added an awesome flare.

I attended a wedding here on a Saturday night in July and the weather was absolutely perfect! Compared to other venues, the space is small. But our party of about 80 fit very nicely. We ceremony was outside on the terrace, then we moved inside for cocktail hour while they replaced the wedding isle and chairs with tables. The finger food consisted of a table of meats, cheeses and veggies as well as some passed choices of octopus, a zucchini soup and a few others. The bar, the band and the small dance floor were also outside, but on the opposite corner from where the ceremony had been. This allowed for cocktail hour and the first dance. There were four courses for dinner - salad, scallops, your choice between two entrees and then the cake. I would the salad was just fine, but nothing special. However, the scallops were absolutely divine and my choice of the steak entree was quite nice! The cake was cut on the dance floor and then set out on a table inside for people to take on their own. The service was quiet, efficient and able to answer any questions with a smile.

We went here for brunch in June and I have to say it was a great hidden rooftop in NYC. You definitely need reservations, since the people at reception before us were told they'd need to wait an hour and the space wasn't even full! The clientele is a little old, but the space itself was beautiful. The brunch dishes were tasty, but I didn't like the cocktails, so I would suggest opting for just a mimosa, which isn't on the menu, but can be ordered.

Great place to host events, with a wide variety of options to choose from food and beverages.A very professional staff which is dedicated to providing the best possible service for your guest/event. Behind the scenes of your event the Chefs and F&B Managers are working together to provide your guests with the best possible results/experience your guests will have.

While searching for holiday party venues for my company, I had the great pleasure of working with Jahan Shojaei at Gramercy Terrace. She was so helpful and accommodating throughout the whole process. Though my company ultimately decided to host their event elsewhere, I would recommend Gramercy Terrace just for the customer service on their event planning end alone! In addition, it is STUNNING space full of life and breathtaking artwork. THANK YOU JAHAN!!!
