Gran Bar Danzon

Well - what can you say. If the receptionist is still the friendliest member of staff in the entire chain of experiences, then you should really think about your public image. The drinks were excellent! The bartenders don't bat an eyelid and only say the bare minimum. The ambience is actually cool, but what doesn't work at all is the transmission of cartoons via projector. Otherwise, the playlist would be cool if the volume didn't suffocate every conversation.

We LOVE this place! This used to be “my office” when I lived in Buenos Aires (I’ve been coming here since the 1st week they opened). Now that I don’t live here anymore, I keep coming back every time I visit BA. The place is amazingly beautiful and the staff is always welcoming (I would love to be able to buy the “danzón scent”!). Food is great, sushi is fresh, cocktails are AMAZING and the wine list is always impressive and impeccable. They have a very large list of wines by the glass and hard to find bottles. I always feel at home here. I highly recommend it.

Good place for cocktails they don't skimp on the alcohol for the drinks... I had four of their cocktails. The blonde with the short hair can speak a bit of English whixh was nice.. And they are quick with the service as well.

Great bar with cocktails and food. Glamorous place. A bit too dark for me but the atmosphere and attention it's great. The martini was abit too strong on my opinion.

Absolutely excellent. Flavors in the original cocktails are well balanced and creative. Welcoming staff and music captures just the right mood and tempo. Decor is an offbeat industrial but the candles placed strategically around the entrance and elsewhere provide dungeon-like seance vibes despite being on the second floor. I admire the willingness to work with unorthodox fruits and bitters while keeping the menu very accessible to all flavor palettes. Will return.

Go here! This meal was amazing! We got the ichiban classico, ceviche, and cavatelli. The ceviche is a MUST! Best ceviche ever. We ended with the warm dulce de leche soufle. The staff spoke great English and made nice drink pairings suggestions. We had a few cocktails and ended with sparkling wine. Fantastic experience.

Exceptional wine bar and cocktails. Excellent atmosphere and music. Good variety of wines from Argentina and the option to buy high end wines by the glass. They also offer good food options. Will definitely visit again.

Tiny entrance, if you walked past it, you wouldn't know that up stairs mixing libations was a great speakeasy making amazing concoctions in Lab coats. If you're in to flavors, architecture, and some jazzy jazz then maybe you should come in.

My sister and I had dinner here on a Sunday night, and we loved the food! We completely walked by the place the first time since it was just a door leading upstairs. The space itself is dark - we were given a mini-flashlight to read the menu. Most of the staff speak a little English - they also have an English menu if you need it. We had the ceviche, the soft boiled and mushroom croquetta appetizer, the squid ink risotto, and a dulce de leche meringue dessert. The food had balanced and unique flavors and was cooked perfectly. My favorite was the ceviche with fresh salmon and ginger undertones. We were very well taken care of by Javier, one of the bartenders. He provided great food and wine recommendations throughout the night. We will definitely be back for another meal before we leave Argentina!

Holy crap, Yelp are in Argentina now??? SWEET!!!! This was one of my best finds on my trip to Argentina. They are located on the second floor of a building on Ave. Libertad and there's not a lot of signage out front, so you MAY think you're lost, just go upstairs. Their menu has a GREAT variety: steaks, lamb, sushi...really there's something for everyone. They have a great wine list and some nice hand-crafted cocktails. The vibe here is swank and sexy, with nice low lighting and good music, it just oozes cool, there's no other way to describe it. I have recommended Gran Bar Danzon to clients and colleagues a like. A friend of mine was on a group trip and the entire group altered their dinner plans for their last night in Argentina to eat here, based on my recommendation and the feedback from everyone was that it was awesome. If you are in Buenos Aires, please, please PLEASE add this place to your "must" list. Writing this review makes me want to go back to Buenos Aires!!!!!

Nice atmosphere, very good food, excellent drinks, poor service. They talked to me as if they were doing me a favor letting me be there. Looks like they are used to argue with customers trying to "educate" them about why they are out of place when making a point of the food taking too long. They do not seem to know how to say "I am sorry" or "I'll see what I can do" that people are used to hear in real upscale bars. Too bad they do not see that as big deal, it could be a truly word class bar. People in Buenos Aires might be habituated to this kind of rude service that can be easily fixed with good retraining. Specially for those who pose as managers.

Excellent sushi! I enjoyed this establishment very much. The service is top notch. I had their margarita and It was amazing. I also had a cocktail that revolved around whiskey which was excellent. Overall, I had an awesome experience at Gran Bar Danzon. I'll be back for sure.

The Danzon Bar has two main characteristics: Dressy and pricy... but you will find great drinks!! These are very well prepared and promptly delivered to your table. Here you can enjoy a night out with your partner or with your closest friends. Check it out and keep Yelping!

If you are looking to have a nice dinner in a fun atmosphere or simply go for some drinks in Buenos Aires this is the best spot .. We had dinner and the food was really good. The place is divided into two part of it has tables for dinner and the other closer to the bar it has couches and a cool chill spot to socialize and have drinks.. Full bar and menu .. Music in the background .. Great to have dinner and stay after to enjoy drinks !

This was our first meal in the city, a short walk from our hotel in the Recoleta. I'd suggest making a reservation, it gets very crowded and for good reason. The food and drinks are delicious, we sat at the bar and the bartender was really friendly and happy to converse with us in English and Spanish. The cocktails were very good and they have an impressive wine selection. One of my favorite dishes was the mollejas. Don't translate, just try them.

Amazing find in the heart of Buenos Aires. Lounge bar setup, very cool DJ music and great food to top off. If you are staying at any of the nearby hotels like Sofitel, Four Seasons and others, it is a short walk. A must visit.

Great bar with some great drinks. Love the vibe of the place. Feels like I'm in LA! Bar seating is pretty awesome and the drinks are fairly priced and pretty well made. The bar food is not bad at all. This became my hangout spot during my stay. Bartenders are really fun to talk to! Go visit, but beware drinks can get expensive here.

Great atmosphere, great selection. This was our second favorite place in BA (second only to Chilas), and a great value.
