Had to leave today and looked for a place to have breakfast. Place looked decent, clean. Staff did not seemed to be overwhelmed with customers. Variety was good on the menu. Again had different things to eat. Service was surprisingly fast and dishes looked good and did not disappoint. I had a sausage with cheese, was a bit baffled when I saw a chorizo smear. It was ok but not what I expected, flavor was also not as intense what I hoped for but as in Spain you go with what they eat. I would not order that dish again. The rest of our dishes were fine.

Such a unique cafe. Love the diner style! The food was very good. Lasagna, pizza, Huevos Rotos con patatas y jamon. The curry chicken tapa was delicious! The churros and chocolate were good. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful, even though he was very busy. There were other servers who seemed to be helping him, but they were not helpful or even friendly. I asked them for ketchup and for extra spoons, which they never brought. Our poor waiter ended up having to get it himself when we asked a second time. Overall, we enjoyed it and will return!

Came in for a quick breakfast. Service was great, place was chaotic in a good way. Our churr was a smidgen oily, but the chocolate was perfection. My Spanish omelet was superb. And the salmon sandwich made our New Yorker guest toes tingle with glee. Fannie the Dino wino gives it a 4 roar!!

Google
Very nice authentic churros, and we tried the traditional pastry called Piononos. They have cozy outdoor seating with heater or you can choose to seat inside with slightly cheaper price.

Google
Their churros are airy and delicious, best ones I've tried in Granada, yet the chocolate wasn't as sweet as I would've liked. Reasonable prices.

My wife and I grabbed breakfast at Gran Cafe Bib-Rambla in Granada. We opted to sit indoors, where prices were slightly cheaper than at the outdoor tables. I enjoyed a decaf cappuccino alongside a delicious loaf stuffed with cured Spanish ham and avocado. My wife went for the classic churros and chocolate, which were equally delightful. While the service was just okay, the food itself was fantastic. Definitely recommend the breakfast options, especially if you're looking for a taste of local flavours.

Google
Fresh and crispy churros with chocolate that is not sweet. Loads of alfresco seating which was great but they have the water spray thing that can get annoying. Price is good.

Nice decor and history, many ice cream and dessert options, outside is always full, inside tables are too high to be comfortable, toilets were a total mess!

Yelp
Great spot to grab breakfast in Granada in a central location! Please note they have different pricing for indoor vs outdoor seating. It's slightly cheaper indoors. My friend and I stopped by Sunday morning around 10:30 and grabbed a spot inside. I had the breakfast #2 for 5.50€ and he had a coffee with milk and Spanish sandwich / bocadillo espanol for 4.30€. I was very satisfied with my breakfast #2, which comes with a half portion of churros + hot chocolate + freshly squeezed orange juice. These weren't my favorite churros I had on my trip but were still solid. It was so satisfying dipping the churros into the thick hot chocolate. My friend enjoyed his coffee but not the bread for the sandwich, so he didn't enjoy his breakfast as much as I enjoyed mine. We were in and out of here in 40 minutes, with plenty of time to make it for our Alhambra tour.

Yelp
Great spot downtown granada to grab chocolate con churros The line was a bit long but moved quickly

Yelp
Stopped by for an evening snack of Porras + Chocolate and coffee. One order gets you 6 porras (fluffier, oilier cousin of churros) and a cup of dipping/drinking chocolate. The porras were hot and fresh from the fryer, while the chocolate was delightful but maybe a little too sweet for me. Prices are comparable to others in the area. Service was super friendly and location on the edge of the plaza was perfect. Dinner diners will be seated outside under big patio umbrellas, while those just there for snacks/dessert will be seated inside. Like many other restaurants in the area they have an ample selection of gelato out for display as well.

Yelp
Once you get the initial confusion out of your head that this place doesn't have churros , they are Porras you start of at the right note . Our hotel was right next door and obviously this was my first choice for a cup of coffee in the morning . Got seated outside and ordered a Cappuccino plus churros . What came was Porras and you have to order the hot chocolate separately . The Porras were hot and fresh but I am 100% certain that I am not having them ever again . They were just too greasy and doughy for me. It was not until later that I finally figured out that was a different item altogether and not just how they make it in Granada lol . So I don't blame them for advertising as such because it could be a cultural thing .Service was good .

Yelp
Excellent service with very nice staff. Food was awful, pizza is the one that comes from a frozen box. The only good thing was the salmon. The veggies were very oily and a very small amount. I recommend to look for a better place. I am not sure how this place got 4 stars. We had 6 people so we tried a few dishes

Yelp
Great place for breakfast. Sit at the bar and it's cheaper. Fresh churros from the fryer with thick hot chocolate was delicious. Great service at bar. Free tap water. The ham, cheese, tomato purée sandwich was good also. Locals were dining here which is always a good sign. Prices were reasonable for the area. Price is more inside at tables and even more on terrace...I recommend to sit at bar and watch the busy staff!

Yelp
My husband and I loved Gran Cafe at Bib Rambla so much that we ate here three times during our two days in Granada - twice for dinner, once for breakfast. For dinner, we dined in the outdoor seating area overlooking the picturesque Plaza de Bib Rambla, and tried a variety of delicious tapas. I would especially recommend the goat cheese and caramelized onion croquette, fried dogfish, pork sirloin tip with goat cheese, and the guacamole toast with strawberries. The only tapa that we were somewhat lukewarm on was the melon with Iberian ham. One evening, we also shared a full-sized order of the lamb tagine, which we would certainly recommend. For breakfast, we ate indoors in the charming cafe. The chocolate and churros were great, although the chocolate was very, very rich, so might not be everyone's cup of tea. I wasn't as crazy about the scrambled eggs, which were cooked in olive oil and therefore had a rather distinctive flavor, but the ham was wonderful. Some of our most memorable meals while visiting Spain were at Gran Cafe Bib Rambla. I only wish we could have eaten here even more!

Yelp
This place has great atmosphere and they use dark chocolate which I prefer with my churros.

Yelp
Its a nice cafe. The people are very nice, even if you do not speak Spanish. I got the chocolate y churros (porras) because they are different than the ones in Madrid. I would also recommend the toast with tomatoes and olive oil. It is cheapest to sit or stand at the bar versus the patio.

Yelp
Beautiful cafe that has been in Plaza Bib-Rambla for over 100 years! Service was friendly. The goat cheese and caramellized onion tapa was nothing special, but the tapas on the house (some fried batter and ground fish inside with oily tomatoes) was tasty. Shrimp tangine had a nice fresh tomato sauce with it that I really liked. We asked for some couscous on the side, which isn't how they normally serve it, but they kindly gave us a little side portion free of charge. The seafood paella was good too and filling. We tried out the churros half portion with hot chocolate, it came out piping hot and fresh. Very bustling place, go check it out, the churros is their big thing, but food is pretty nice too.

Yelp
Chocolate con churros looks great, but we were there for dinner. Dinning at the terrace was very enjoyable experience. Got there around 9pm, some tables were occupied, not necessary for reservation. Indoor was more of a cafe feeling, terrace provides more of a fine dinning feeling with waiters dressed in white uniforms, plants decorating the whole terrace area. We had three dishes, paella with seafood, couscous with chicken, and spaghetti with mushroom. Spaghetti was not their speciality, was a bit plain. Paella was good, but flavor was quite strong for some liking. Couscous was very delicious! It came with sauce on the side, so you can pour in as much as you wish. It was a pity that we didn't get to try their chocolate, but the ice cream we had to go was very delicious! Sangria was 10€ a jar. It was a nice experience. They do have a nice menu for breakfast, pity that our breakfast was included in room rate. I reckon we will come back for breakfast next time when we have the chance!

Yelp
This place looked nice from the outside. We ordered three beers and it took some time for them to arrive. The waitress was cold and inattentive. No tapas came with the beers so we ordered some. Anchovies were straight out of a tin and accompanied with chips from a packet. It tasted disgusting. The other dish, croquettes, was just a heated up frozen type. Poor service throughout. Even to the end made to wait 10 minutes for change (which was 6€). Don't even bother.

Yelp
Our go-to spot for chocolate con churros on a cold winter night. Great staff and a ton of fun sitting at the bar watching them make the churros.

Yelp
Finest Middle Eastern breakfast I have ever eaten in the USA. Full stop. Stumbled into This place on a bad day. Brightened up everything. Don't miss it!

Yelp
This cafe's speciality is churros y chocolate. In my opinion, they are the best in Granada! Other reviewers are complaining about the wi-fi, the tapas, the pasta, the lunch....etc. But these are NOT the reasons to visit this cafe. Here it is is all about the churros, and they are fresh and fantastic. The chocolate is thick and rich and perfect and is made in the traditional way in a double boiler. Don't waste your time ordering anything else here. The vintage diner setting is perfect and the service is friendly. Our family lives in Granada this year and we visit this restaurant often.

Yelp
Came in here with our laptops all set to get some important online work done, but much to our shagrin the WiFi would hardly load at all, even sitting indoors! We ate some reasonably priced and decent sandwiches and then packed up our things to find better internet elsewhere. Disconnection vibes. WiFi pass: desde1907 (if you want to bother trying)

Yelp
Great place full of locals. I tryed the local churros (a bit different from the other places of Spain, more like Madrid Porras). Good quality and price. The coffe os also good.

Francois M.

Yelp
The slowest and loudest cafe you dont want to end up. Waiters make everything fall, screaming orders, while staring at you 10 min before they eventually come to take orders. some ordeal when you need to pay and leave

Siobhan F.

Yelp
This beautiful cafe does the tastiest tostadas with peach jam and perfect coffee You can also have a lot more breakfast options if you wish such as eggs and jamon. A lovely square outside with tables and chairs. Cafe has been in business since 1902. Popular with both locals and tourists. Should add there is a great selection of ice creams if you don't get there for breakfast!

Meredith A.

Yelp
We really came for the churros, but we were so hungry that we had some savory tapas first. I can't find a menu online so I can't remember what they were, but I think they were little curry pots, and they weren't half-bad. Still, I'd skip the main meal and go straight to dessert. I saw some people eating fresh strawberries in fresh orange juice which looked divine, but we went for the richer choice. The churros are different than what I've had in the US, as they aren't dipped in any sugar - they're just quite crisp pieces of fried dough that aren't inherently sweet, and they are served with a pot of rich, creamy chocolate sauce. They'd be nothing without the chocolate so don't even think of getting them plain. The chocolate certainly elevated them to a whole new level! The slightly grumpy and slow service made this a place we wouldn't rush back to, but there's a reason that they are famed for the churros!

Janel Marie M.

Yelp
Friendly service. Only came for a postre and well worth it! The granizado was refreshing. Chocolate con churros do not get served until 5pm.

Katie L.

Yelp
Great place for breakfast, for a churros or three and French toast with peach jam. Sitting inside on a cool morning was lovely, watching the waiters hustle about and the chef make piles of churros. We also dined here one night on their fixed price menu - 16.50 for a drink, tapas, starter, main and dessert, not bad at all. And you get to people watch as you look out over the square. I would definitely come here again - efficient service, good food and a great location.

Yelp
Good food, varied menu, excellent friendly service even when rocking up late. Best on the Plaza.
