Gran Chifa Chung Yion

Pretty good fried rice with pork pieces. Cool Chinese atmosphere and decoration in the restaurant. Not bad for 20.5 Sols for personal size.

I ordered a Wantan Sopa here and interestingly all the elements of this dish were subtlety smokey! The wontons were massive and quite different to the traditional Chinese wontons I was use to eating. The soup had pork slices, chicken wings, chicken drum sticks and some greens. It was fun trying Chifa and experiencing a Peruvian Chinese fusion. The service here was great. My waiter was friendly and my order arrived very quickly.

Bustling chifa (Chinese-Peruvian) restaurant in Barronco set in a large and nicely decorated space. Came here with a group of 7 for lunch, and the place was pretty packed. Family portion sizes are huge - a few at the table ordered a family size soup to share and it was the size of a crockpot. A few vegetarian options - rice, noodle dishes with vegetables and tofu. Food was tasty, though greasy (not unexpected). Staff was friendly and was very appreciative that I left a tip (so much so that the manager came over to thank me and then gave me a gift).

Food is amazing here, and the portions are huge! When we arrived there was a line of people waiting, but we were seated in 10 minutes or so. We waited a long time for the food, but it was worth it. The portions are really big and the staff is friendly. The food is tasty and really interesting flavours. Not so expensive, but not cheap also. Next time I would recommend sharing a starter or two, and then just one main dish.

This is a Must Visit when in town. Delicious food and great service.

The food was really good. Service was fast and friendly. They had a menu in English, but we still had no clue what anything was as it wasn't Chinese words we were familiar with. We ended up picking on the meals for 2 that was highlighted on their main menu. We still aren't sure what we ordered, but it was decent.

It used to be my favorite chifa when I was a child. They have destroyed a 100-year tradition. The service is really poor, the food is tasteless and the cherry on top we got a piece of rope in the chow mein.

Came to eat here and both of us had the Wantan soup. It was horrible! We didn't even eat 1/4 of it. It tasted 'dirty' and we complained to the waiter who basically said there was nothing they could do and we had to pay for it all. The atmosphere was good, they give you your own private room to eat in with curtains but my friend felt ill straight after eating here and we were due to go to the theatre. I would not recommend this place and will not be returning.
