What a fantastic hotel. Clean, spacious and comfortable. Room was lovely with a fantastic view. Beds were very comfortable. Room cleaned daily with towels changed daily and bedding 3 times during our 10 night stay.|Food at breakfast, lunch and dinner was very good, with lots of choices including meats, fish, salads, pasta, fresh fruits, cheeses, cakes, pastries, ice cream etc. |All inclusive drinks included Amstel lager, local spirits, wine including cava, soft drinks, coffee, tea and filtered water. Drinks measures were very generous. Didn't include cocktails. Only negative on drinks was that all-inclusive customers were served all drinks in plastic cups, even when sitting inside. Didn't understand why as this must've cost a fortune and all the plastic waste not good for the environment.|The outside areas were lovely and the pools looked very inviting but too cold in November to go in. Plenty of outside seating and sunbeds. |The charge for the spa was a bit steep at €20 for an hour, but we went and really enjoyed it. It's on the 19th floor with fabulous views and it's immaculately clean. There's a small pool with bubbles and water jets etc., sauna, steam room and loungers. You need a swim cap and flip flops.|Didn't visit the Skybar in the evening on floor 43 due to it being open air and November. It was €15 including a cocktail. But did go up there to the viewing area during the day for €1, well worth a visit. |We found all hotel staff to be friendly and helpful, from reception, waiters, restaurant, bar staff and housekeeping |All in all we had a great holiday at the Gran Hotel Bali, and wouldn't hesitate in booking again.

The housekeeping staff are amazing but that's where it stops . Just spent Christmas there . Hotel is beautiful and looks quite luxurious when you enter . The rooms are plain and tired . The reception staff are just plain rude unless your Spanish and I really do mean rude ! No information packs anywhere ref anything at all . The food was literally stone cold constantly. From 4 nights of eating there we managed to get a drink to our table once . Not a hotel I would visit again but is beautiful if only the staff could match it's splendour. Really not a great time sorry

Hotel was lovely , we had the breakfast and that was okay, my only fault was that there was continuous queues for the drinks machines. Rooms were offered to be cleaned everyday and the view from our room was amazing . My main issue was the elevators always having queues and on two of the days we were there, two of the elevators were down. We went in October so can’t even imagine how big the queues are during peak season but suppose that’s to be expected with so many floors in the hotel. Location was lovely with so many restaurants close by and the beach not a far walk - the main strip was also only a 15 min drive away and there was taxis outside the hotel which made it easier . You do have to give them your card details just to check in which made us feel a little bit uneasy as we have never had to do that in a hotel before however this may be the normal for hotels in Barcelona ? Had a great stay whilst we were here and the bar area on an evening in particular was good vibes. Would stay here again if we were to stay in the same location.

This was are first time at this hotel. I would say that this hotel is not a 4 star hotel. The room is very old fashioned. It has no wi fi in the rooms. The reception area is lovely but unfortunately there is not enough staff for it. It’s such a big hotel but not enough staff. The pool area and the shops are really nice. The Spa on the 19th floor was really nice but you have to pay something like 18 - 20 euros to use that pool. Then extra 2 euros as you have to wear a swim cap. We were very unlucky with our room as it had no balcony. The people in the room next to us had parties in their room two nights in a row to about 2am in the morning. We did complain to reception both times. The second night it happened the reception staff did speak to them. This hotel is a bit of a walk from the old town and is up a big hill so be prepared to walk a lot.

Just had a lovely 5 Days full board at Gran Bali. The food was very good nice assortment. But always had to microwave as not hot. Buffet staff work hard but so slow clearing used plates off tables. If they left a waste trolley people could dispose of there waste & plates which could help the staff out. Evening entertainment was good. The room was a bit dated but very spacious & plenty of wardrobe & drawers space. Good they had a good selection of uk tv channels bbc1, bbc2,itv, channel5 etc. Not much in the way of bars around. Bus number 03 stops by hotel to the Old Town cost for 2 people 3.30 euros. Had a lovely stay. Will be back. Regards Edward Hartshorne. Shame I was only on floor 2. Would have been nice to have been higher up but had a nice view from balcony over swimming pools...

Came for the chess tournament (the grown-up one, not the kids' one!). ||Zsusanna at check-in was cheerful and chatty , which gave a great first impression.||My room was in block 1 (the shorter one) and on the 16th floor.|Room was okay, but very very dated. Had a bath and a separate shower (plus a bidet, if you're into that kind of thing). Generally it was pretty clean, and the cleaning staff did seem to arrive at roughly the same time each day (which I like, as I prefer a predictable routine).|The bad points of the room...|It was really warm. I turned the air-con temp right down but that made no difference.|The lights are really, really bright. Even if you only have the 'bedside' lights on it's too much.|The furniture is very dated and there were two pictures stuck above the bed which were just peeling off.|Worst of all, the WiFi was virtually unusable - I did a speed test at one point to see how bad it was (picture attached). Even downstairs around reception it was still pretty bad.|No bottled water in the room, and no tea/coffee making facilities. There's a supermarket two minutes away to get water.||The food in the hotel was half-decent. I only eat meat and chips anyway, so I was happy as there was always a few meat dishes and always chips.|Breakfast was good - again fussy me had bacon, English bangers, hash browns and fried egg every day, which was just what I wanted.||The bar service wasn't bad at all (except one silver-haired man who seemed permanently miserable), and the drinks were a good price for a hotel (eg coffee €2.10 and wine €2.50).|I did hear a few people on all-inclusive mention that they had to pay for water, which seems ridiculous.||I had heard bad things about the lifts, but for block 1 it wasn't too bad at all (I think block two was worse (many more floors but not more lifts).||On a separate note - I did manage to lose my wedding ring on my last day. I'm sure it's in the hotel somewhere. I reported it to reception but not heard anything since. I told my wife as soon as I got back - she was distraught.|If someone finds a gold wedding band please let me know! 🙂

Edites again, As nobody was available to discuss our issues before we left here are pictures and additional info. Mouldy air conditioning vents meaning a serious health risk plus because of the moisture in the ducts and lack of cleaning a bug fell on my plate from the ceiling during breakfast. We will be emailing a complaints list but please would somebody respond to the points raised in this review. Staying here at the moment. Can't really recommend much. Food awful, cold, badly cooked and no evidence of show cooking. Had to change rooms due to cleanliness and repairs needed. Second room much better but wifi doesn't work which it did in the first room and also tv doesn't work. Original room problems brought to the attention of reception staff who dealt with the room change efficiently but to something that was better in repair but not in other ways. EDIT: new room is also in bad repair. Supposedly newly renovated but no snagging list done. Loose door handle (a 10 second job with a screwdriver), unfilled holes where something has been taken down but not replaced, nowhere in the shower to put shampoo, Conditioner, soap etc. Whilst showering so previous occupant of the room had used the top of the rainfall showerhead and the cleaner hadn't cleared away the used soap or wrapper. Photos and video will be added later once we have had chance to speak to a member of staff again. This is most definitely not a 4 star experience. Asked for Hojas de reclamación but was told we could not take it from the reception desk to fill in so will try again tomorrow when somebody more senior is available. This is my one break this year and to be honest it hasn't been great. I live in Spain and have done for over 20 years and own my own bar restaurant in Spain. If I was anything like as shoddy or unhealthy (details to be added later) as this place I would be shut down.

I thought this was a decent hotel, looks very fancy from the outside. If you go in the winter, it can be a bit cold in the rooms and you had to pay €20 extra an hour for the indoor swimming pool as it was part of the spa. It is the highest hotel in Europe and it’s absolutely gorgeous from the viewpoint on the top floor, but if you want to go up in the evenings and use the bar it costs an extra €15. The service was good, there was an incident on our floor and they handled it quickly.

Yelp
This is a complete trash can how they call themselves a hotel is insane it more that a motel! Where do I begin The rooms haven't been renovated since the 90s the furniture is old outdated and worn down the beds are the same! Don't forget to bring your own beach towels or you'll be charged 15€ per towel with a €5 cleaning fee per towel! As if that wasn't bad enough tired to get ice not one machine called the front desk after calling ten times was told to call room service room service said call front desk then front desk transferred me back to room service All the while this is going on I'm listening to must annoying children's music blaring from the pool If you want a nice relaxing vacation do not stay here you'd be better off at motel 6 in fact!

Yelp
I did not stay in this hotel, but since the other comment was mistaken, I think some real info could help. This hotel is only 5 min walk away from the biggest beach in Benidorm, but is it up a steep hill. I don't know how it could not be in a typically tourist area: Benidorm as a whole is a tourist area. Note that it is 2km away from city centre, but a bus will take you there in 10 min. Don't know about the rooms but I know it is not like a 4 or 5 star hotel. It is good old charter hotel.

Yelp
Een redelijk goed hotel zeker de prijs waard om eens een weekje te zijn. Helaas is de klim terug van het strand minder. Uitgaan is minder daar moet je voor naar Benidorm
