Gran Hotel Panamericano

Very simple hotel with brilliant staff, rooms are clean, everything is so easy and simple We loved every moment here, when we left we missed so much and decided to come back. We abandoned Buenos Aires to come back here Mar de Plata is brilliant place, very interesting and full of attractions

We enjoyed a very nice room in a great location. Everything about the bedroom was wonderful; the bathroom, while a bit small, had a great shower. The location put us in easy walking distance to the shopping areas, the bars, and some beaches. Breakfast on the terrace is a great option with a nice view. We did get our car towed while following the hotel staff's advice to park out front because it was a weekend ... oops, bad advice. Overall I really liked the place and would go back.

Stayed at this hotel for a weekend in Mar del Plata right before the crazyness of the high season in Summer (Christmas, New Years, etc.) the service is good, rooms seems to be kind of new, linens and towels are good quality. The most important thing is location in the heart of downtown Mar del Plata and close to the water. The double beds are tiny just like pretty much any other other hotel or home in Argentina, I will definitively recomend to book a room with a double bed. Parking is offered at a nearby garage a bit expensive. Wifi is decent and free and the breakfast included is nice and served on the top floor with a nice terrace. No pool, but the beach is walking distance.

This hotel is centrally located in downtown. It's on a noisy street, but that's what one can expect from a downtown location. Hotel is very clean and well-kept. The rooms are TINY and basic, but clean and nice.||The breakfast is chaotic, but there's a possibility of eating on the deck on the top floor and it's great!||The only major problem is that the doors to the rooms are constructed to have to be slammed in order to lock and the constant slamming of doors is extremely annoying during the evening and morning hours. Not a hotel for light sleepers. ||||It's great to have a cafe in the lobby. Usual bad Argentine service, but good coffee. It's not cheap there, but the coffee really is one if the better in town. ||||This hotel is a bargain for the price, but take note of a few things and see if it fits your personality. It's also a text book example that running a small clean hotel is not rocket science at all and that this is appreciated by the clientele.

Old hotel in desperate need of renovation/upgrading. Furniture in bedroom, breakfast room etc had chips and lumps knocked out of them. Need fresh coat of paint everywhere. Hotel and room was clean. Not a great choice for breakfast. Sugary cereal, pastries, small selection of fruit. It would of been nice to get something hot like eggs. More Argentinian style breakfast rather than catering for worldwide travellers. Room and bathroom small. Good location, on Plaza San Martin. 10 minute stroll to the beach. Close to a few restaurants. Cheap taxis to go further.

You can´t find a better location to stay in Mar del Plata..this is a fantastic hotel, clean, central, easy access to go everywhere ..buses around the corner...If I go back to Mar del Plata I would not think twice to stay here again. Breakfast is very good and very clean rooms and beddding. Loved it...!!

The service of the hotel is great, even when we had unrelated problems, the staff offered their help on the matter. The breakfast option is good with a nice breeze in the terrace as an option. The location is really good, you are in a pedestrian street, and close to both malls (2 kms tops).|Only downside, the toilet paper, it is not soft at all, no joke.

Hotel is old but I got a renovated, clean and comfy room. Very well attended by the staff. The great central location is a plus, with a taxi stand just across the street. Many amenities just a walking distance, which make it very convenient for busy guests. Cecilia from Toronto , Canada.
