Our stay at the Gran Meliá was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, the level of luxury and attention to detail was clear. The resort itself is breathtaking, with beautifully manicured grounds that feel like a tropical oasis. The highlight for us was the gorgeous swimming pool area, complete with cascading waterfalls and lush greenery all around- absolutely perfect for relaxing in style. Service throughout our stay was consistently warm, helpful, and professional. Every staff member we encountered went out of their way to make sure we felt welcomed and taken care of. The dining options were equally impressive, with fresh, flavorful dishes at Saba Saba served in stunning settings. Whether it was a leisurely breakfast or an elegant dinner, the food quality and presentation were top-notch. Overall, the Gran Meliá delivers a true five-star experience, combining luxurious accommodations, incredible facilities, exceptional service, and outstanding cuisine. We left feeling pampered, refreshed, and already planning our return after our summit day at Kilimanjaro!

The entire staff of the Gran Melia Arusha was warm, friendly, welcoming…making our stay truly exceptional. The facilities are beautiful-the garden, the rooms, the gym and spa (I had the best massage of my life with Happy, I highly recommend her!). My son’s luggage was lost by the airline, and the guest service representatives (shout outs to Daniel and Harriet) for making sure it got to us before we left. I am a frequent traveler, and this was an experience I won’t soon forget.

I enjoyed ending my 3 weeks in Eastern Africa in this luxury hotel. The service is unpretentious, friendly, and attentive. The concierge arranged a driver to show me the sights of Arushia. My room was spacious and had a beautiful view of the mountains as a backdrop to the pool and rooftop organic farm. Maria at the spa was gracious in setting up a much needed and enjoyed facial. The morning buffet was actually really good (even tho I hate buffets). Best was the personalized service and friendly attention from all of the staff.

The Red Level experience is a must-try — the personalized service and private lounge access made my stay feel truly exclusive. The dining options are incredible! Every meal was fresh and flavorful — especially the breakfast buffet, which featured ingredients sourced from their own gardens. The rooftop bar is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sunset. The staff went above and beyond — always warm, professional, and eager to assist. Special thanks to the concierge team who helped arrange a last-minute tour that turned out to be the highlight of my trip. Whether you’re in Arusha for business, safari, or leisure, Gran Meliá is the ultimate home away from home. Highly recommended!

I recently celebrated my birthday dinner at Gran Meliá, and the experience was simply unforgettable. The ambiance was elegant, the food was delicious, and everything felt perfectly curated. I’d especially love to thank Enos, our waiter for the evening, who went above and beyond to make the night feel special. He was professional, attentive, and kind—making sure every detail was just right. His service truly stood out and made our celebration even more memorable.||Thank you Gran Meliá and Enos for an amazing evening! We’ll definitely be back again.

We arrived at the hotel first thing this morning after a long flight with no sleep. Plus Qatar Air had left our case in Doha. So arriving blurry eyed, tired and in need of a shower, how the hotel respond. Brilliantly. Boniface on reception did all he could to get us into our room early. Offering us breakfast and use of the sauna and shower. Adam our Red Level liaison called Qatar several times to find out what time our case was going to be arriving. We had hopped to book the Roof for dinner, but that was booked for a private function. We opted for the Grill instead. I hadn’t seen many reviews for this place. But the food was superb, it took a while to come out, but my wife and I had enjoyed the drinks, nibbles and sweets in the Red level lounge. So we were fine with the wait. The steak was seasoned to perfection, juicy and tender. The chips were crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle, & the lobster was melt in the mouth, sweet and buttery. It might not have the view of the Roof, but the food is hard to beat. I have been so impressed with all the staff, the manager and other senior staff members getting stuck in at dinner and making everyone feel truly looked after. Very impressed.
