"Where Grand Chic Meets Retro Romance Avoid the crowds of the Waterfront, and other busy tourist hangouts, and enjoy the beach, ocean vista and ships sailing into Cape Town Harbour from Grand Café & Beach at Granger Bay, Cape Town. Relaxed yet central with enjoyable food for the whole family, a great place to chill out and enjoy a glass of Cape wine, delicious deep-fried prawns and wonderful pizzas. Added attractions include great cocktails, comfy loungers and a Gallery Shop of casual beachwear. A unique venue for lunch, early-dining with great sunsets, or an intimate dinner for two, convenient to city and waterfront hotels. You’ll forget you’re in a city!"

We booked for an early dinner. Were shown to a table in the Conservatory Area with a great view of the beach. We ordered water and drinks which delivered promptly. We both ordered mains with a Greek salad side. My wife's pasta dish was 'enormous' and I order a pizza with toppings not on the menu but the waiter asked the kitchen and they obliged. Shout out to our waiter Cameron who was excellent 5*

Really enjoyed their Normal size chicken pizza! Lots of flavour. Also their deep fried sushi is really good! No complaints. However don’t be fooled by good panoramic views. I was extremely disappointed in their service. I visited them in January for a friends birthday and waited 30 mins to be seated!!! WITH a booking. This was extremely disappointing Then waited forever for a waiter to serve our table. Shocking to say the least.

So a friend of mine organised a get together a few weeks back with a number of different people we were a total of eight people. We ordered numerous different kinds of tapas the food was really delicious. My only concern is that the food came out at different rates my friend who organised the get together had ordered a burger burger never came they had to start making it after everybody else started eating. I’m myself ordered the calamari starters as well as the muscles . When the calamari came it did not have tartar-sauce I had asked the way immediately to bring it it took him another 15 minutes. By which time the calamari was cold. I myself had to walk to the kitchen and ask a person for the sauce. I also know it was very hard to get the waiter to come to us consistently we had to find him regularly. The place was not very full that night. In the past id been to the grand and loved the experience. The atmosphere is great although the place was empty considering we went in May that might be understandable. I think the only thing that has going for a moment is great pictures. It truly saddens me that is no longer shining in his former glory.

This is such a vibey place! Grand Africa has an extensive drinks menu, delicious sushi and the most breathtaking views. We felt so privileged to enjoy the beautiful sunset on a Friday evening after work. Despite it being on the pricey side, and the service being a bit slow, we will be back!

Great food , sadly the place is very poorly maintained. Outdoor seating area are not clean or comfortable. If you want to eat by the harbour, then give it a try. However is definitely not a beach club

It's a beautiful place to have some fun... ensure that you take along a good crowd of people with you... love the music, it's very different... the wait staff was a total vibe

You must come here. What a vibe! All dishes were good but the drinks are even better. Service was great and the views are greater.

Stunning setting, right on the ocean. We booked a table for 10, Sunday lunch on a perfect outdoors day. Turned out the booking was not really needed, with half the tables vacant. Not being busy didn't do much for service as we had to chase waiters for service, felt like they believed in doing us a favour taking orders..... Cocktails were okayish yet the food, very, very average and ridiculously overpriced. The scenery is spectacular though, may return for sundowners but most definitely not for food.
