"For a more boutique-style stay, check into Grand Bohemian Hotel Asheville, Autograph Collection. The hotel, located next to The Biltmore Estate, comes with equally grand aesthetics, including a common sitting area that resembles a hunting lodge, and rooms boasting large soaking tubs and plush bedding to truly allow guests to relax away their every care. It doesn’t hurt that it also comes with a full-service spa to work out any remaining knots." - Travel + Leisure Editors

"The Blue Ridge Mountains stand in for the Black Forest at Grand Bohemian Hotel, a 104-room luxury property inspired by old-world Bavarian hunting lodges, complete with stag-antler chandeliers, rich velvet and brocade textiles, and a popular mascot in the lobby—a taxidermied wild boar named Zsa Zsa. In contrast to the more dramatic public spaces, rooms and suites are spacious and light with crisp white bedding and tufted headboards; almost all of the bathrooms have large tubs with shutters that open up to the sleeping area. In addition to the rare original artwork that’s scattered throughout the hotel, there’s a gallery featuring paintings, art glass, woodwork, and sculptures from local, regional, and international artists. George W. Vanderbilt’s Gilded Age castle is across the street, and the hotel is within walking distanceof Biltmore Village’s popular restaurants and shops and only two miles from trendy downtown Asheville, making it a convenient jump-off for exploring the Great Smokies."

I’ve stayed at countless hotels around the world, but nothing compares to this experience. From start to finish, it was simply exceptional—easily the best I’ve ever had.||When I arrived, I was feeling a bit down. My fiancé had to cancel last-minute, and I wasn’t sure how the weekend would turn out. But the moment I walked through the doors, everything changed. I was welcomed like family.||Angela and Michael greeted me with warm smiles and a glass of champagne, immediately making me feel at home. They took a genuine interest in my plans for the weekend and helped me map out an incredible itinerary. When I inquired about Uber options, they didn’t hesitate to offer the hotel’s complimentary car service.||The valet team—Nathan, Stazia, and Austin—were absolute gems. They happily drove me to and from my destinations in a beautiful courtesy vehicle, always arriving promptly with a smile. Their kindness and attentiveness truly stood out.||Each morning, Angela welcomed me by name and made sure I had everything I needed for the day. Jayne Ellen greeted me in the breakfast area with just as much warmth, setting the tone for another perfect day.||And then there was Andy. On Sunday morning, I had a wonderful conversation with him—only to discover he was the General Manager! A GM who’s actively engaging with guests and making personal connections is rare, and it made me feel truly valued.||The staff alone are worth the visit—this team is simply WOW—but the hotel itself is stunning. The property is beautifully designed, with a luxurious resort feel, yet it’s only a short 5-10 minute drive to downtown Asheville. Even better, it’s right across the street from a charming village with restaurants, coffee shops, and boutiques all within walking distance.||Though I arrived feeling disappointed to be alone, I left feeling like a celebrity who had just experienced the perfect weekend. Each night, returning to the hotel felt like coming home to family. Without a doubt, this has become my new favorite weekend escape.

I was truly blown away by the service and kindness of the staff during my stay. The hotel has clearly gone through a lot with the remodel, and the results are stunning—everything looks amazing. Beyond the beautiful interior and updated amenities, it was the team that made this visit so memorable. Everyone was incredibly friendly, genuine, and helpful—they truly went above and beyond.||The gym was just right, the room was spotless and comfortable, and I loved the glass of champagne at check-in. The in-room amenities were fantastic. Asheville is a special place on its own, but staying here made the experience even better. Kudos to the entire team!

The ambience, the welcoming, the friendliness of the staff was just amazing. All considering that eight months ago, the first floor of this hotel was flooded by a hurricane that devastated the area. It is remarkable that it came back only eight months later looking just absolutely fabulous.||The rooms were absolutely fabulous, comfortable, warm, and inviting. The location of this place right next to the entrance to the Biltmore makes it a perfect location to start your day.||The restaurant, The Red Stag Grill is a most to see, have dinner and breakfast there. The food was delicious and worth it.

It was wonderful to be able to stay at the Grand Bohemian again. We stop annually on our way to Florida. I would have rated it 5 stars, but because it had just opened that day there were a few little issues, i.e. the main elevator was not working when we arrived. (It worked the next day.)||Our room was perfect in every way. The whirlpool tub was an extra bonus after hours of driving. The bed and pillows were really comfortable. The bar had the big pretzel we love, but no draft beer. The canned selections were very good though. We had our usual breakfast the next morning and thoroughly enjoying the omelette and potatoes. The coffee service was still being perfected with the use of coffee presses instead of a pot of coffee. Every staff member was very welcoming and helpful. ||We will look forward to our next visit.

The hotel is lovely, but their dog policy ruined our stay! We were the victims of the barking dog next door. This is not an inexpensive hotel. We used valuable points to stay here and it was a bust. The dog had been reported the day before by the head of housekeeping and clearly it was not addressed with the dog's owner. It barked at night until it's owner returned. It started barking first thing in the morning. No sleeping in for us! No relaxing soak in the whirlpool bath! We had to turn up the tv but it didn't help. When we reported it, they said we could move rooms. Really pack up and move? Why not have the people with the dog leave? Their dog ruined our stay. The breakfast staff and food is great. We went to the bar and the bartender was more concerned with counting the bottles than he was in helping us. They had just reopened 2 weeks before, but I would have thought inventory would have been completed before reopening.

We love this place. It just recently reopened after the hurricane. Most of the area is still closed. The restaurant in the hotel was hit or miss depending on time of day, staff and what you order. We ate breakfast there every morning. They have French pressed coffee. I recommend you just make the Starbucks in your room. The coffee in the lobby was not very hot. We always take our Togo cups from home. Enjoy!

Everything was perfect - the staff, the amenities, the food. I would highly recommend a stay here. The bed was so comfortable, and the bathroom was huge. Starbucks coffee in the room! We got a couples massage - the spa is small, but the staff were excellent.

Im so happy to see GB open again. I live locally and love to stop and have a bite to eat, and to shop with Constance in the art gallery. Nate was great at picking up my truck from valet. Please get back out there and support our locals as they reopen. Its even more beautiful than it was pre Helene.
