Well...I had expectations as I came from the Princess Bora on Sainte Marie. But...
It's a nice place, they did a great restauration job and created a good, relaxing atmosphere. The service did a good job, too.
But the food disappointed me. The waiter recommended the zebu steak and so I did. The redwine-onion sauce was delicious, but just too less for a sauce lover like me. Half of the steak and it was already gone. I ordered mayonnaise and got remoulade, which is not a bad thing as it was also delicious. But the steak...the meat quality was bad, several tendons and hard in some places, too. The experience of eating a great steak got destroyed, I gave approx a third of the meat to the cat next to me. Very sad as it was my last Dinner before I need to attend my flight back to Europe.
And yes, I totally agree to one of the other opinions here: you should add information about possible food allergies on menu.
Fifou, the owner, manages several Restaurants/Hotels in Europe, he usually has to know and take care as with the price point here, this restaurant definitely aims to tourists, business people and wealthy Madagassi.
So here is big room for development.
