Came here a while ago for a bachelorette party and used their facilities to have a High Tea.
At arrival we walked upstairs and sat down at a large table that was set. At that table the cutlery was dirty and moldy and the glasses weren't polished..
After we sat down we got moved to another table that was "more set" for high tea and they asked us if we fancied either tea of coffee.
The tea pots arrived too full and it was soo incredibly messy to pour a cup, quite pathetic to be honest.
After we all had our drinks the food came out. Two thirds of the plates had sweets on them, one thirds sandwiches and there were NO savoury pastries available beside a small quiche. From the sandwich plate you could choose from a tuna sandwich, something very plain and a wrap. There was too little selection of a proper high tea in sandwiches and the flavour and quality of them.
The sweets were of average quality and lacked freshness. The brownie was a block of concrete, the other cakes tasted like they were made from a pre-packed mix and the scone had a funny after taste.
As a hospitality professional, this high tea left a lot to be desired and would not recommend this establishment for that purpose.
If you fancy a drink and potentially a snack, this is your place. Anything more "high established" or of "proper quality", id recommend you look further.
Service is kind, but doesn't know how to properly serve customers or know the F&B proper rulings.
The place itself looks quite beautifully up-done and definitely has a lot of character. They do however have aack of proper lighting, all the ladies that day actually mentioned the same.
The bride in question had a good time, that was the most important mission that day. Yet for me: I do not recommend their high tea assortment nor service.
