If you are looking for some great eats, this is it! I had several meals here over a week and was never disappointed. They have tables for everyone. Hey large area to reserve for big groups, outdoor seating which I took advantage of during lunch, three or four tables for six or more, couples tables, two couches in front of a fireplace, and seating at the bar. I enjoyed a brew while watching the game. Food is top-notch. Only criticism was they got surprised by an event in town and didn’t have enough staff, but they fix that the next day. You can’t go wrong if you are in town and want a nice quiet place to enjoy burgers and beer. Oh be sure to check out the calzone that was top-notch.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at the Grand Canyon Brewing Company in Flagstaff, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was casual and inviting — exactly what you’d hope for in a great brewpub. The food was fantastic. Classic pub-style favorites elevated with great flavor and quality. My wife ordered the bourbon BBQ chicken salad, and we both agreed it was one of the best salads we’ve ever had — perfectly balanced with fresh ingredients, tender chicken, and a rich, smoky-sweet bourbon BBQ sauce that tied everything together beautifully. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the beer selection was impressive, offering something for every palate. If you’re in the Flagstaff area and looking for excellent food, craft beer, and a laid-back environment, Grand Canyon Brewing Company should be at the top of your list. We will definitely be back!

Great Customer Service* Spacious Parking* BBQ Ribs were so tender and the bbq sauce was just right! The zucchinis were spot on with a Crispy Breading* Loved it! My Husband enjoyed his Beer and Pot Roast! Definitely Recommend it* 😁

Google
Atmosphere was great! Very open with garage doors that lead to outdoor seating! I loved the music they played. Kind of oldie music with soft background. Beer great! Food great! Ethan our waiter was wonderful with a very friendly and outgoing personality! AND, they have PARKING! This will be our go to brewery in Flagstaff!!

I’ve been to this location several times and absolutely love the food and atmosphere. However, last weekend my family and I came to the location. We were told to get our drinks. No big deal as we know this is normal practice. The issue, we waited over 20 minutes with no service. We were shown who are waitress was. She didn’t come around but had no issue with seating other patrons (we were seated by the podium where you meet patrons). Eventually we decided to leave, put money down for the drinks. I told our waitress that we were leaving because of the service. Absolutely no response from her. I’m not saying I won’t return but our experience was definitely a negative one.

Restaurants are like an army with several lines of defense. There’s the obvious, the food, but then the servers, too, are an aspect of success…or failure. Since we’re talking about a bunch of humans, things can happen. People can have a bad day - or just have issues. That’s life. But when the kitchen is off and the server is off and it’s clear that it’s a lousy management situation, that’s when I write a review like this. We visited Grand Canyon Brewing and Distillery and got a great hostess. We got seated quickly and menus and such. Figured out our order, chose a beer and waited. And waited. And waited. Finally our server, Joe, came around and took our beer order and, since we had been there a while, we also got our food order figured out. A sandwich, a big pretzel (It’s a brewery!) and some wings. I got their house IPA and it was outstanding. Someone knows what they’re doing back in the brewery department. Eventually I got a second IPA - it was good too. I was pondering getting some to take home with us, it was that good. Meanwhile the table next to us had gotten their salads, sent them back, and had gotten replacement salads. Halfway through the second beer we finally flagged Joe down and asked what was going on. He would check. Turns out our food order got misplaced. It happens. That’s why a server with a digital menu system is on the floor to keep tabs on this kind of thing. But we just chose to leave - clearly the kitchen and the wait staff were not having a great day. I fault lousy management when there are this many failures but I definitely wouldn’t go back. The beer was outstanding, the service not so much. Joe did bring a pretzel which was very good and should be for $16 and we didn’t get charged for anything. Turns out the adjacent table’s salads had hair in them. Ew. They didn’t get charged either. Where was the manager on duty? What the heck is going wrong here? It’s a beautiful place with great beers and we did really like the (free) pretzel but I’d rather have just had anything but a lousy experience. Oh well.

Google
This was by far our favorite brewery in Flagstaff! We traveled to Flagstaff to do their beer festival passport challenge And went to eight different breweries. From the outside (parking lot entrance) this place didn't look too promising. It kind of reminded us of one of those hole-in-the-wall type places (but those usually turn out to be the best), but then when you go inside it's totally awesome and huge! I believe our bartender was a girl named Corey! She had absolutely the best customer service out of all of the places we went!!!! She let us try samples of things and all the drinks we purchased were fantastic! We even purchased stuff to go. We didn't actually have any food but I gave five star rating just because all the drinks were so fantastic! I highly, highly recommend you visit this place! It has bar stools, a cozy couch area in front of a fire, outdoor seating, as well as a full restaurant dining table experience, and a section for purchasing merchandise. We absolutely loved it and could have spent the entire evening there! We will definitely be back on our next trip to Flagstaff!!!

Google
Delicious beer and food. We had the pulled pork sandwich and chili and both dishes were delicious. Kimberly and Joe took care of our table and both of them were excellent servers. Great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend

Yelp
I was on road trip driving through with some friends and came across this brewery. It was very inviting and cozy inside. Thankfully there wasn't many people even though it was 2 days away from new years. Ok so I wasn't sure what to try out so I ended up getting a flight. I highly recommend getting one if you are indecisive like me. The burger I had was soooooo good or maybe I was just hungry. One of my friends got a burger and it was gone in 5 min so that should tell you how delicious his must of been. Ok enjoy my pics :)

Yelp
This was an okay dinner, wasn't terrible but wasn't the best. It seemed pretty busy when we came so the service was a bit slow. However, the waitress and the barback/other workers were super friendly! I like how they had a cocktail menu and I also loved how they did spirit tasting all hours of the day. It was $14 for four spirits out of the six they make there. The spirits were okay, they definitely weren't top shelf but they weren't the worst. The spirits are a generous portion. The pretzel appetizer and fried pickles were delicious! The pot roast was okay...we all thought having extra potatoes over mashed potatoes was excessive. Maybe a bit more stew/broth. The flatbread was more like a pizza, not terrible. I just wish the food had a bit more flavor, but it wasn't terrible. Overall, I would try this place again and I think it's a good place to grab bar food and a drink!

Lauren R.

Yelp
Again we had an awesome experience! We got a table right by their awesome fireplace, and enjoyed not only the food but the drinks as well!

Loralee B.

Yelp
Service: 5 stars Beer: 3 stars Ambiance: 5 stars We had a fun date night at Grand Canyon Brewing. Our pub pass comes in handy! The log stools at the bar add a fun flair but they aren't very comfy to sit on for a full beer or two.

Ruby C.

Yelp
I was excited to try this brewery given the name but I came out of it slightly disappointed. It was quite empty when I walked in and there was just one worker. I sat by the bar and the seat was unique, they were like logs. It wasn't the most comfortable to sit in but that's okay. I didn't really get much help other than the menus served to us. I went with unique flavors I haven't had and what I typically get (Prickly Pear and IPA mostly). The beers weren't as amazing as I had hope. I ordered their special - brisket mac & cheese and their wings. Brisket Mac & Cheese - there was only two strips of brisket. For $18, I expected more brisket or even just cut, dispersed and mixed in with the mac & cheese. Wings - Forgot the flavor I got but appreciated the quantity of wings. When I go to breweries, I enjoy conversations with the beertender to dig deeper into how the beers are brewed and what are some top choices most people get. The server was not attentive at all. There was so much options from beers to liquor to food. It would have been so nice to have a server that "sold" us more on what is good.

Dee Q.

Yelp
Excellent Service and variety of food and adult beverages. Its a self-service water and soft drink (Great idea), so you can get refills yourself We all ordered various food from Sliders to Salads. In the future, if the server says she doesn't eat meat - dont order the ribs. It was probably beef but i asked if they were pork (So it did not fall off the bone - And not liking to my taste) I thought it was dry and did not taste good. Proud of me first time rejecting food, which the server was kind to get me a replacement (Sliders) - Those were good, but they should say the Jam is spicy - why Surachi craze -

Heather C.

Yelp
Hadn't been here in a couple years and we were back in Flagstaff and excited to go experience it again. Something had changed. The waitstaff was not kind or attentive. A bunch of college age boys who seemed too cool to be bothered to help anyone. We were made to feel like we were a bother when their only job is to serve people. It was not that busy (red flag number one as its Overland Expo West weekend). Took a long time to get drinks. Only asked once if we wanted anything else and when our server asked he said our food was ready but proceeded to not bring it to us. Someone from the back finally brought it out and was apologetic (the only person in the place who seemed to care). Food was frozen food delivery truck food for sure - couldn't finish the chicken tenders because they just were not good and served with cold bbq sauce and room temp veggies. Husband had a lackluster sandwich. Save your time and money. Drive to either Mother Road or Dark Skies - great beer and great food at both of those locations.

Yelp
I stopped in here to get my pub pass stamped. I tried a couple IPAs which were really good. I hung out and ordered a burger and fries. It was good. The fries could have been hotter. I think they were short staffed because the bartender kept disappearing. The fireplace was a nice spot to relax. Check them out.

Ruben G.

Yelp
Service was spot on and beer and food selection did not disappoint Parking Lot is small, might have to park a way's away and walk back.

Sindy E.

Yelp
We arrived at the restaurant for an early lunch. The place was quiet, with only two or three other tables taken, so we were seated right away. I noticed that the daily special was a Mexican pizza with chorizo, and I made my decision quickly. We ordered a beer flight and they had great options. I'm giving two stars because our food took more than 30 minutes to arrive. Also, the pizza was not really a pizza; it was a flatbread, which is rectangular in shape with a different texture, thickness, and flavor from a real pizza. The most disappointing thing is that the chorizo was not ground like the chorizos in Arizona; this was a sausage chorizo with an okay flavor, but it was very dry and hard to chew. And the sausage part was not on the sign; if it was, then I wouldn't have ordered it. Additionally, there wasn't enough cheese. The customer service was okay, but the place was pricey for the two meals and a beer flight.

Liz O.

Yelp
Skip this place. The food was either burnt or cold, service very slow, crumbs in my wine glass. Was looking for a new place to check out while visiting Flagstaff but should have just gone to Buffalo Wild Wings.

Jared W.

Yelp
2 years later and you earned 2 more stars. Things are looking up. Restaurant: finally has decent seating. We sat on the patio and I enjoyed the rocking patio chairs. Seating is more spaced now and the patio is pet friendly. Menu: the menus have been updated and upgraded with more tasty menu items. The beer list was fully stocked this time and all the beer we tried were distinct and tasty. Food was also definitely above par both taste and presentation-wise. Service: still fairly slow at the bar and kitchen. Our waitress was attentive and prompt, always checking on us and trying to hurry the bar and kitchen along. Overall: I'm happy to see improvements! I hope this upward trend continues.

Mark R.

Yelp
We had a good start on a dog-friendly, pleasant outdoor patio. But service was very slow. Seemed like somebody hadn't shown up, leaving one waiter. He was very apologetic and worked hard, however. But since the patio was nice and the evening was beautiful, we weren't upset about the slow service. Eventually, the service happened. The food was good. The beer was very good. So, all in all, a positive experience.

Melissa T.

Yelp
Came for the sour beers and had a salad. Everything was great! Service was great and very quick, plenty of parking available. I love the decor!

Scott M.

Yelp
Visited for a solo dinner on a Wednesday night. They were not busy, in fact I'd venture that I was one of possibly 10 total people in the restaurant. I tried 3 of their craft brews and their food. The beers were all excellent, great craft beers that hit the spot. This is a brew pub, and the beer was most definitely up to par. The food was a letdown, especially at the price. My meal was not very good. But probably the most offputting thing was that the bar was very sticky and smelly, with dozens of dirty empty glassware that had not been cleaned up from previous patrons, and even though I was one of only a few people there, my initial and subsequent service took too long. I also didn't particularly care for the fact that when I asked for water, the bartender motioned toward the front door and said "it's over there". So I had to leave my seat and go get my own water from a fountain machine. So if you're eating / drinking alone at the bar and it's busy, you have to leave your food and open beverage to walk all the way to the front of the restaurant to serve your own water. I'm not sure I'd be comfortable doing that anymore in a crowded bar.

Bernice G.

Yelp
Stopped here for some protein and carbs before our next early morning Humphrey's summit hike! We had the Bacon beef mini sliders, sweet potato fries, flat bread and wings along with the grapefruit brew.

Yolanda A.

Yelp
We drive by this restaurant every time we go snowboarding in Flagstaff. Over Memorial Day weekend we decided to come up and try it out. We were not disappointed! The service was amazing. I loved the fireplace and couches. Sydney helped us with our questions and even upsold us on a whisker flight so we could try different kinds. We enjoyed our lunch and will continue enjoying the whiskey as we took home a bottle of Smokehouse Bond Fire.

Jim H.

Yelp
Just stopped in after hiking the Narrows. Fantastic location just outside the walking main entrance. And he had myself a chocolate coffee stout, and it was fantastic! I was told when I walked in that they were not serving appetizers at this time. Sat on the patio and drank my beer, then drove down the street to grab something to eat.

Gary D.

Yelp
The food the last 2 times we have been here was mediocre (yes, I gave them a second chance). Their beers are just ok. The seating, both outdoors and inside are extremely uncomfortable, to say the least.

Ian H.

Yelp
We are in Flagstaff for my wife's birthday. After a long hike we wanted to go and have a nice home brewed beer and a cocktail. We sat for over 10min before being addressed, after ordering our drinks they took over 10min to get them. The server (who I don't like to identify) took our order with the drinks and didn't ask my wife how to have a burger cooked served it raw. I had to trade her our meals so she had something to eat (I never complain about an order. You never know what they do to it in the back). The prices were outrageous costing about $10 for a pint of beer. Don't waste your time or money.

Wes H.

Yelp
We got here as soon as they opened. Had the Reuben sandwich, which was fantastic. also had their red beer- very good. This is a great place. Good service and very good food. I would recommend to anybody

Karina F.

Yelp
First time Feb 2024 service was ok. The place is very nice and specious just not as busy. We didn't eat but we seen food coming out the look and portions looked good. The ambiance is ok not loud not quiet.

Max J.

Yelp
Christan was the best bartender I have ever had came from the valley for tequila sunrise and stopped here to get a beer and treated me and my friends better than any bartender I had in Scottsdale from where I live.

Sydney F.

Yelp
This place was recommended to us by our hotel receptionist and we are so glad we went here! We sat outside since we had our dog with us and even though it was a chilly night, the patio was very nice. They had fire pits which actually kept us warm. They also have umbrellas for if its a sunny day. The food was pretty good! We just split some apps because there was so much that caught our eye. The cheese curds stole the show for us and were the best part of the meal. We also got the spinach artichoke dip which was lacking for me, it wasn't very cheese or even a dip really. It was very thick with spinach. The wings and the shrimp were good! The service was great. We were the only ones sitting outside and we never felt like our server forgot about us. Dillon (we think that was his name) was super friendly, helpful, and quick. OverCall ratings: Atmosphere 5/5 Food 4/5 Service 5/5

Jennifer S.

Yelp
The service sucked, food is way overpriced for the quality, they were out of alot of there beers. Building is cute but do not recommend

JD G.

Yelp
This location is convenient to NAU campus and sits behind Target, so easy in and plenty of parking. Seated quickly and this a beer and cocktail bar. The menu is the reason to stop here. The pricing is in line with other restaurants nearby, but the food is delicious and the portions are generous. Lots of comfort food to choose from. So split something with your companion or get a ToGo box for your leftovers.

Louis C.

Yelp
Wow! Grand Canyon Brewing is 5* all round. Visited with the family from London, UK and the restaurant didn't disappoint. American atmosphere, American food and American feel this place has it all. Would recommend to anyone thinking of visiting. Service was excellent all round.

Lucas R.

Yelp
Our server Joe was incredibly attentive and helpful. Beer was delicious and there was a great selection of shirts and clothes.

CrystalandNick D.

Yelp
Great place! Really enjoyed the music and outdoor dining. Holy cow the calzones are HUGE! Will definitely be returning, often!

John R.

Yelp
The place is a decent little spot, they were able to seat our relatively large party of 11. The service was extremely slow despite the place not being busy. Everyone's meals rolled out individually over the course of about 50 minutes. It made it awkward to eat without others having their food but good thing we did because it was almost an hour by the time the last plates came out. Food was decent, pretzel is amazing.

lee s.

Yelp
Great establishment. Would like to give 4.5 stars. We had a large party with teens and on fairly short notice, they set up the large game room for us, made a limited group menu, free sodas, and accommodated a guest with celiac no problem. Server Joe was great - kept us all straight on orders/bills - and just friendly overall. Burger was great, pretzel was ginormous and hot and delicious. Why not 5 stars? The wings were unfortunately some of the worst we've had - soft skin and some were raw Would definitely recommend this place for groups.

Shari M.

Yelp
Delicious beer and food. We had the pulled pork sandwich and chili and both dishes were delicious. Kimberlee and Joe took care of our table and both of them were excellent servers.

Neal K.

Yelp
We were in town for a football game at NAU. The guys at the hotel front desk recommended Grand Canyon Brewing, we were glad they did. Good beer, and tasty food.

Rebeca S.

Yelp
DON'T PASS UP THIS GEM! The Jalapeño Poppers are fire! The Smokehouse Grits were so delicious!

Flagstaff A.

Yelp
Bummer about this place. I have been wanting to try it for a while. There was literally two people working they don't really see after customers so you kind of feel you're just kind of on your own with no customer service and do not feel like your in a restaurant. Tables were a mess, kind of reminded me of post college party. The food sounded good but everything was terrible. We had the shrimp(rubber and hard to eat) fried pickles were so tough and cold, ravioli was awful and poppers okay. Beer was odd. Never again and would not recommend this place. Too bad cuz the patio is great. Should be a third of the price for the quality.

Anna S.

Yelp
I visited this restraunt last Saturday in the morning, and I was really impressed with the quality of the food that was served. Even more so, the service was great. I lost the name of the gal that served us, but she had red hair and she was incredibly kind. Checked up on us frequently and recommended great beer.

Tanya R.

Yelp
5 stars for the Santa Fe chicken sandwich!! It had awesome flavors and fresh vegetables!!

Sophia M.

Yelp
Had a GREAT experience at Grand Canyon Brewery. My server ( I believe his name was Joe) answered all my questions and was very friendly. Overall great service and great experience

Stan F.

Yelp
Used to be our go-to place. No more. Waited 45 minutes for the beers(at a Brewery!). Fetched them myself while the waiter was next to me on his phone!!! Asked for an extra plate but, forget it! Nice atmosphere and good food.

Maddie D.

Yelp
Amazing service and delicious food, there is even a gift shop for souvenirs and trinkets to take home! I loved this restaurant it is fairly priced. My only complaint is the that the side plates for appetizers look like silver tin dog bowls. It's kind of funny but I really suggest they change the plates, everything else is great. Amazing restaurant for big groups. Has tasty food and cheap drinks!

Jacqulyn W.

Yelp
Service was amazing. Food was weird... I got the bbq chicken salad, the bacon had this seasoning on it that was really overpowering and almost inedible. The prickly pear vinaigrette was okay but there was a lot of vinegar coming through. My grandma had the ginger soup and she likes spicy food but she said the ginger was too strong. I ended up getting the shrimp ceasar, the shrimp had good flavor but it was really sweet and didn't really go with the ceasar and Parmesan flavor. I was looking forward to the black beans and corn to give it more fiber and character but there were hardly any... Probably wouldn't come here again.

Linda B.

Yelp
As an owner if I saw how many complaints were made about the service and it's still not resolved I think I need to get help with training on customer service! For goodness sakes they're in the hospitality industry and this is how you handle it? And we were told that you were actually in the restaurant at the same time as us and were told of the service issue and you didn't get up to talk to us? A perfect example of why the staff is giving bad service. Instead we got 1 slice of cheese cake ? No one even asked if we liked cheese cake or gave us a choice of another dessert which we would have appreciated more. I speak as a fellow restaurant owner so I do understand that there's a worker shortage but we all know that and understand that if we are given excellent service and food

Katie M.

Yelp
Joe and Cory did an excellent job serving and bar tending for us tonight! Food and drinks were fantastic. Thanks for the firefighter deal. We will be back.

Anh S.

Yelp
Food was decent, once we received it. Service was not good. Our server took a very long time to even greet us, and when she finally did, she wasn't friendly. The only time she even tried to be nice was when we were paying our check. We waited a half hour for our food to come out and when it did, it was lukewarm. Drinks are $7-$8 for a pint. You have to get your own water and soda. The prices are too high for service like that. And they charge you a percentage to use your credit card. We'll spend our money elsewhere.

Kayli Y.

Yelp
A nice local Brewery to check out here in Flagstaff! We are visiting for the weekend and found this place on Yelp. Came in and only had to wait a quick minute to be seated. Everyone was so friendly and the service was great. The inside was nice and clean, and they have a patio outside option as well. A good place you can bring your kids too as we brought our baby with us. The drinks and food were both delicious. We had pints of the Cali Creamin, Sonoran White Chocolate Ale and the Dinger Kentucky Ale. For lunch we ordered the Brewery Wings with the Bourbon BBQ sauce and the cheese curds. Both were so yummy! Overall a great start to our trip here in Flagstaff!

Mike S.

Yelp
Not impressed. I rolled in at 830 PM expecting the place to close at 10 PM as the hours say. The bartender ignored me for about 15 minutes and then acted inconvenienced when I asked her for a beer. Apparently, talking to the two off duty employees also sitting at the bar was a more pressing obligation for her. 10 minutes later at 855ish, she comes back around to impatiently tell me it was last call. I inquired as to the hours and in so many words she says, "Well, we're supposed to close at 10 but we just close whenever we want, so it's last call, and oh, by the way, the kitchen has been closed for half an hour now because the cook needs to watch the playoff basketball game, so tough luck." As I was on the way out, someone called one of the employees sitting at the bar, apparently a manager or an owner, and convinced them to reopen the kitchen for her. Cool, cool, good to see where paying customers rank. I get it, this is a college town and you've got a bunch of disinterested college students working for you, but this is no way to run a business. I should have just gone downtown.

Bob P.

Yelp
Best prices on town. Love the calzones, best pizza in town. Very friendly service!! We're in town for months at a time and stop here often

Ramona M.

Yelp
The service was not great. I don't mind waiting but being made to feel like we are inconveniencing these college-aged waiters and bartenders was a bit off-putting. Horrible attitude from our male waiter. The beer was fine.

Tim B.

Yelp
The food was great! Joe was super helpful and friendly. Our group was from out of town and he was knowledgeable about the menu and helped us get some amazing food. Kori killed it behind the bar, she poured a stout just right which is hard for some but not for her. The beer, the food, the people were all great and I would recommend to anyone looking for a great dinner in Flagstaff! Also, it was Friday and we are firefighters so we got 50% off!
