We had a super fantastic time on our first trip to the Grand Canyon but it wouldn't have been so grand without our amazing service attendant named Teryl, she was our storyteller, surprise tour guide and honestly made us feel very welcomed! She taught us about local wildlife and the benefits of the vegetation and root work, the ghost beads and even took time out to teach us personally about some history that few know about and their locations! Teryl is the sweetest soul we've met and hopefully will meet again the next time we journey out for another train ride! Thank you very much for making this a very memorable time for me and my family! P.S Teryl deserves the biggest raise you can give!

We rented bikes and rode through the forest and along part of the canyon rim. Lots of bike paths and a beautiful sunset and moon that evening.

Must visit this old train depot in Grand Canyon, and know more about the history of the national park.

This is an exciting old-fashioned train ride that weaves through the beauty of the Grand Canyon. Definitely recommend as a carefree way to see the sights without the worry of driving. You can also walk over and get a good look at Grand Canyon Railroad Steam Engine No. 29.

Definately the best way to get to the grand canyon. Wonderful scenery along with entertainment there and back. Our "hostess" Donna was so fun!

Yelp
A definite wonder of the natural world. This canyon is majestic full of dozens and dozens of trails all along the rim. We visited the south rim this time and headed to the Bright Angel trail, which is the most up-kept trail in the park. We heard a trail guide mention that on his way down. Entry costs $35 per vehicle and the pass is good for a week. Going in the morning will have the shorter line to get in, and in the afternoon the line will get really long. They only take cards now, cash is no longer accepted. There are a ton of lodges, and individual cabins to stay at. There's also restaurants, a food court, and lots of shops all throughout the park. There's even WiFi available at a small fee. This park really has everything. If you've never been, or it's been a while since you're last visit, it is time to plan a trip back!

Yelp
Amazing, incredible, grandiose place! I always dreamed of seeing it and thought it was an impossible place. But dreams come true! I recommend it!

Yelp
Came here at the beginning of May, but forgot to write a review... there were still some long lines going into the park, but it went quickly. We were able to book a reservation at Trailer Village RV Park (located inside the park) a little over a month in advance. From what I've been told, sometimes reservations up to a year in advance are required! There was a mix-up at first, potentially with people sneaking into the RV park and taking others' reserved spots. Though ours had full hook ups, there were other spots that had grills and TV hook ups. But, the spot was amazing to see deer at night and elk walk through the campground every morning. Cell service was non-existent throughout most areas of the park (thanks Verizon for being the only ones to cover national parks). The first day we watched the sunset over Mather Point. We split up the second day driving the Devil's View Watchtower road in the morning, stopping at the lookout points, breaking for lunch, then visiting the mule barn, train depot, El Tovar (even better viewpoints and ice crema here!), then to the shrine. (The third day was our day to travel back and it seemed like plenty of time to see most of the main highlights, although there are dozens of decent biking and hiking trails through the park). There's some other cute little restaurants with nice patios to check out, a full convenience store (with individual sizes of frozen yogurt near $6), and sadly the snow cone stand with the prickly pear flavor was closed at the time. I guess we could've stayed another day, knowing that even though the RV park was fully occupied, there were still some spots available. It does get windy here, so make sure you're prepared for all weather types. 2021 #44

Yelp
A must see, the Grand Canyon is run like other national parks with limited parking but full shuttle service. Once you enter the gates, they hand you maps and a simple guide to show you how to best spend the the time you have. If you want more info, you can go to the visitor's center which has a museum and rangers at an info desk. Or based on the guide they hand you, you can choose any parking area to park in and then pick-up a shuttle to see the various viewpoints at the edge anywhere in the park. If you have a dog you are welcome to bring it along with you if you stay up along the rim. Dogs are not allowed on shuttles. Just like any public place, they need to be on a leash and are not allowed to go into the buildings. If you want to use dog daycare, go to the Village and there is a road up behind the Maswik Lodge that leads to the kennels. They take reservations if you'd like a guaranteed spot. The cost for daytime boarding is $22. The hours are 8am to 5pm. There is plenty of parking in the Village and it is where you can pick up the red line shuttle bus or ride the blue line out to other areas from there. We found that most everything that we wanted to do was centered around the Village so parking there worked well for us. The red line shuttle is the one that takes you to the various view points. You can hike between them and pick up the shuttle at 9 various stops. It is recommended to go along this route if you are staying on the rim of the canyon. This option offers many gorgeous views and was perfect to take it all in but not exert ourselves physically. So for a one day visit for our family who wanted to see a lot but not hike so much, taking the red line shuttle the full way up, getting off at various stops, hiking a bit before riding back down, then stopping at Maswik Lodge for lunch and souvenirs worked out great.

Yelp
One of my favorite place and national park. There's a lot to do and see so I suggest doing your research before going. Many trials to hike and view points. Shuttling is provided so make sure you look at that too. This place is too beautiful to miss. I also recommend going in the fall-l or winter months--easier to hike and less tourist.

Yelp
30 dollars entree fee per car or buy and annual pass to all the national parks for 80 dollars. Lots of great views of the canyon as you drive from one end to the other. Stop in the village and plan a sunset tour, a hike, a train ride, a boat ride down on the Colorado or a mule ride through the canyon. I recommend planning ahead of time as things book up fast and the summer is crazy busy! Bring water, hiking shoes and a camera.

Yelp
This place really is spectacular! You can't grasp the size of the canyon... it really is one of the wonders of the world! I plan on going back in summer and hiking down to the river that runs through the canyon, but from the rim you get spectacular views!

Yelp
The Grand Canyon is an amazing national park with the scenery just beautiful. The look is almost unrealistic. We are from KY and the plane flight and the drive her was LONG. On the drive my father said that no one ever goes to the Grand Canyon and says 'meh'. I told him that I would be the first. The moment I saw the Grand Canyon though, I was just blown away, I didn't even know something like that existed. To all those people out there obsessed with social media, and wanting everyone to know what's going on in their life (I'm one of them)take a few photos, put them on your story, and then put your phone away and enjoy it. This is something where photos can't capture the beauty and awe. This is something that will always stay in your memories forever. One thing is that you should always keep your children close. Your going to want to look over the rim, and I don't blame you, but always be careful, as 14 deaths happen annually because people weren't careful at the Grand Canyon. Now go and have a great time!!

Yelp
This place was awesome. Who knew there could be so many canyons in one place? And who knew Wendy's was in such great proximity?? Absolutely not a bad choice at all choosing the personal tour over the Jeep tour for no rush at view points. Everyone needs to go, bring some food up, and just enjoy the views. 5/5 every time. Cheers

Yelp
Best park/natural wonder I have been to yet. The canyon itself is surreal, enormous, Multi-dimensional and epic. It doesn't seem like anything on planet earth. The hikes are pretty rugged, even the easy hikes. The park is the perfect blend of human friendly design and rugged, untamed nature. There are many high up cliff spots with no fence to prevent you from falling off. Your on your own in many parts and I like this. Also the park has a mini city. This city is really cool because it isn't tacky, it makes everything easier and it feels like you're in a big city in the middle of the forest.
