Made a dinner reservation as soon as we made our cabin reservation. We were seated in the 3rd row from the window so could sort of see the canyon. I would have requested a different table because we were in front of the kitchen in the 3rd row (lots of traffic). Brussels sprouts were a tasty appetizer. The flank steak was not the best choice but the trout was delicious. The sides were ok but nothing overly special (veggies are squash and carrots). It is clear they want to turn over tables quickly so felt rushed at the end (~45 minutes). We would eat here again but go in with slightly lower expectations.

The minute after you make a reservation at the Lodge, make a reservation at the Dining Room for dinner. The food is great. The service is great. The atmosphere is great. Once you finish dinner, go out on the patio and watch the sunset.

The service was excellent! We had a wonderful server, named Nizameddin, who was friendly, attentive and helpful. The view was remarkable and stunning and that and the service are why I give it 3 stars. The food was mediocre. We had the Southwest Caesar salad, Arizona Mixed Greens Salad, fries, flourless cake and carrot cake. The desserts were tasty, but everything was not flavorful unfortunately, but it did provide us with sustenance and we are grateful for that. Hopefully the dinner and breakfast have better options.

Regretted that we had dinner here. We should spend our money somewhere else for better food. We had a walk reservation for 9:30pm. I guess the cook is tired or want to go home. We heard a scream from the kitchen. When our food came out they look delicious but every dishes taste salty and spicy. You better off having a plain salad than their weird Cesar salad. Each of us had a bite of the salad and didn't touch the big plate again. They should get the hint how awful it tastes. Wingstop wings are way better than these. I don't know how they still remains open. Probably for the Grand Canyon views. It's not our waitress' fault so we still tip her the amount she deserves.

Seated on the rim of the North Canyon, absolutely shadowing any other restaurant’s views they may offer. And of course the service. They have to expect nothing but the best because that is what we received. Amazing service. Great recommendations. Each dish came out presented so beautifully. And the flavor exceeded expectations. We were most fond of the pork chop. And tied off with dessert. Made for an excellent day at the canyon.

We stayed 4 nights at the North Rim, and most of our meals were in the Dining Room. This is 5-star dining, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with breathtaking views of the Grand Canyon. Food and service were excellent. Food in ample portions and wonderful taste. For variety, we frequently opted for the breakfast buffet. No lack of menu items for children. Crystal Creek Trout was my dinner favorite. But it was the wonderful, courteous service that brought everything together. All the staff were friendly, interactive with children as well as adults, knowledgeable, and helpful. It was fun and interesting to chat with them, sharing our daily experiences and learning more about them and their experiences working at the park. Dining room staff often pointed out things of interest as we viewed the canyon from our table. Staff were very personable and our conversations enjoyable. Thank you to Mitch, Matt, Kayla, Lorri, James, Bayan, and others who made our dining experience at North Rim so very special and memorable. Our entire stay was incredible. Thank you!

We ate here today and we had a great experience. Our hostess was friendly and sat up promptly. Our waitress was super friendly also. She is from the Pittsburg area. I’m terrible with names otherwise I would let everyone know. Our food was great. My wife had the AZ chicken sandwich and said it was tender and flavorful. My daughter got the Grand Canyon burger with a Gluten free bun and she said it was one the better burgers she ate in a bit. The gluten free bun was super soft and tasted like regular bread. IYKYN. I had the brisket sandwich and it was a bit fatty and chewy. The flavor was on point but the tenderness was a miss. That’s the reason for the 4 star. All in all it was a great lunch with an incredible view.

The breakfast buffet isn't great, order off the menu, where the breakfast is great. Dinner was good. The view of the Grand Canyon is amazing.

Yelp
I've eaten at a lot of national park lodging restaurants that have ranged from mediocre to terrible. This place was objectively good. We were sat promptly at our reservation time. The views from the restaurant overlooking the north rim are stunning especially at sunset. We split some starter salads and enjoyed them both. We had a range of steaks and chicken along with dessert. I really enjoyed the banana bread pudding and the chocolate torte got good reviews from my wife and kids. Reservations for this place are hard to come by so plan ahead if you want to come at here.

Yelp
Great views and all level of difficulty for hiking! The visitors center has a cool saloon and there's a nice restaurant!

Yelp
If you're staying at the North Rim, or even visiting for the day, and you can afford a slightly overpriced meal, then I highly recommend an afternoon or early evening reservation at the Lodge Dining Room (why be inside a restaurant here at sunset? That would be foolish!). The room is beautiful. The menu has something for everybody, and if you know how to read a menu and order properly, you can get a terrific, healthy, satisfying meal. If you've been out on the trail eating protein bars and GORP, this is a place to settle down and get fresh vegetables, salads, seafood, etc. It's not guaranteed. Ask questions of your server and you'll find out what's come in fresh and what's sitting around pre-cooked. For example, order a salad with grilled chicken added and they toss on some dried out strips that were pre-cooked. Yech. Order a salad with salmon and it's beautifully, freshly, lightly grilled to order.

Yelp
During our 2-night stay at the Grand Canyon Lodge North Rim (a little misleading, because we were sleeping in a Pioneer Cabin...another story), we ate in the Lodge Dining Room twice. The first morning there we had breakfast, and the last evening we did dinner, with a reservation. Breakfast was buffet style, although I think you could order from a menu if you chose that option. We waited about 10 minutes to be seated, which was surprising because about half of the tables were open. But then we heard someone tell the hostess that they had ran out of clean silverware. There seemed to be a lot of chaos, so we opted to do the buffet as opposed to waiting on orders. Turned out to be the right choice, because we waited another 10 minutes before someone stopped by to pour some coffee. The buffet was pretty basic, so no real complaints there. But on the service side, they really struggled and were either under-staffed or under-trained....or both. 3 stars on breakfast. For dinner, it was a different experience. We had a reservation, and were seated within a few minutes of our time. Guy was our server, and he was good. Very friendly, and did a good job of checking back on us. Also was very open to answering any questions we had about the Lodge or the Canyon, and actually gave us directions to a spot nearby to watch the sunset. My wife ordered the Lees Ferry Trout, and I had the Brisket Platter. We were both very happy with our dishes. She finished hers, but the pile of brisket they brought me was so large, I couldn't eat it all. But I sure tried. A couple of drinks, and we were set for the night....after that sunset location. I would go 4.5 stars on dinner. Overall, you don't have a lot of options if you're at the North Rim, and staying at one of the cabins there. But we honestly found this to be just fine.

Yelp
The only disappointment of an amazing visit to the North Rim. Dinner quality and taste were abysmal. Menu descriptions inaccurate. Server made errors without apology. Next time we'll get pizza at the deli and enjoy on the veranda. Cannot speak to breakfast or lunch service as dinner was so awful we weren't willing to risk it.

Yelp
We were unlucky enough to eat lunch at the Grand Canyon Lodge Dining Room (North Rim) on June 27th. We initially tried to order the Brisket but was warned by our waiter that it was sent back to the kitchen several times in the past week due to poor quality. We were also warned that they don't have any french fries - only home fries potatoes from breakfast. It sounded like they were trying to recycle the leftovers from the breakfast buffet. So we ordered the Grilled Chicken sandwich and also the Navajo Stew. about 25 minutes later, the waiter came back and said our meal should be ready soon. 10 more minutes later, the waiter came back and said they didn't make the Navajo Stew today. I changed the order to just a burger in addition to the Grilled Chicken already ordered. 5 minutes later, the waiter came back and said the stew was being made and it should be ready in 10 minutes so we stuck to our original order. The chicken sandwich supposed to come with pepper-jack cheese, bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato, onion on a Brioche Bun. What we got was 2 slices of morning leftover wonder bread and chicken with NOTHING ELSE. We confronted the waiter about it and he said right away that he KNEW the order was wrong and told the kitchen and the kitchen said to SERVER IT AS IT ANYWAY. What a horrible attitude and incorrect thing to do. If the kitchen KNEW The order was wrong, and the waiter KNEW the order was wrong, WHY DO YOU STILL SERVE THE FOOD??!?!??! We asked for the missing items and they finally brought out lettuce, tomato and avocado but no bacon. The Navajo "stew" is more like a soup and it's super salty and tasted like somebody used too much industrial beef bouillon with gristly beef parts and hardly anything else. It was by far the WORST meal we've ever had. We complained to the manager and all they were able to do is make up all sorts of excuses about how the weather created a rush and they have new people in the kitchen and etc. The table next to us didn't get their food for an hour and their orders had missing items as well. This is an embarrassment to be representative of the food at our US National Parks and Aramark should be revoked of their license to operate at the US National Parks until they improve both their food and service.

Yelp
Excellent! Small dinner menu but has all the categories: salad, soup, appetizers, entree and dessert. Entree included brisket, pork chops, salmon and steak, a few more selections. We got the wings, Brussels and the brisket, they were all excellent! Ended the evening with some crème brûlée yummmm Overall not crazy with the prices except for the entree, it's like 30-40s. But good sized portions.

Yelp
I have been to the south rim of the Grand Canyon and although I had a blast with my friends and it was truly majestic - I gotta hand it to the northern rim. IT WAS AMAZING!! Was able to take a long hike down a trail behind the restaurant. The point out to take pictures was also amazing. The restaurant could use some menu updating - but, it was sufficient. I do have to say that I have never EVER had better brew iced tea. Ever. Anywhere!! It's all I could talk about. My friend was laughing at me because I was going on and on about the clarity and clean flavor. I enjoy iced tea. I LOVED THIS ONE!! The service was fine - though she forgot an item she offered. The entire place is just magic!! It rained. It thundered. And we caught the best rainbow that developed before our eyes just outside the canyon. I will remember this for years to come. And am looking forward to going back for another hike. Plenty of parking. Plenty of parking

Yelp
Food was like cafeteria food. Missed on so many levels. Views were nice bread was good. Bout all I can say. Get pizza from the saloon and your meal will be better and cheaper. Eat at the North Rim Food as good as at the gym Not real good As it should (be) Even dessert was trifling

Yelp
This review is both for the lodge as well as the Rim To Rim Shuttle Transportation. I stayed in one of the lodge hotel type rooms a short walk from the lodge September 2022, and rim view cabins July 2023. The 2022 season was on time. No delays. The lodge opened later in the 2023 season due to the snow pack breaking the water main and taking time to repair. It happens. Nothing can be done. Once opened the staff did their best to accommodate our requests and they were friendly, prompt and thorough. This is an amazing property located in one of the most scenic locations in the US, if not the world. It is isolated however. That being the case, it's reasonable they would not have the same caliber food as a 5 star restaurant in a major metropolitan area. But the food is good. Seeing some reviews is disappointing as some seem to expect the red carpet treatment from a team that's doing their best in an isolated location. The staff is doing their best. The deck is stacked against them. Travelers show up, often tired, hungry and ready to exhale. The lodge staff are stretched as it is, however, they did their best to ensure our stay was memorable and comfortable. I utilized the shuttle service on a separate trip early September 2023. The shuttle from the north rim to the south rim is also excellent. Tyler was our driver. He made the 4.5 hour drive memorable and even fun. His knowledge of the canyon was also good and added to our enjoyment of the trip. Highly recommend. This location is one of a kind. The staff are doing their best. I appreciate how much goes into keeping a lodge like this running. Already planning my next trip back.

Yelp
Views, especially around sunrise or sunset are outstanding. While waiting to be seated, spend some time outside on the patios. My wife and I ate 5 dinners and 1 breakfast here. No lunches which seem to be a cause of complaint by other reviewers. Dinners were rather good food, though somewhat over-priced. Service was friendly and accommodating. Bar is reasonably complete with some good wine choices. Carrot cake dessert is quite yummy. You need to have reservations for dinner and the earlier times like 5-7 fill up weeks if not months in advance.

Yelp
This is a typical national park dining experience. You're in one of the most beautiful places with limited options. But the food is not very tasty or a good value. We ate there both nights for the experience of dining in the main lodge. There isn't much else to do after hours anyways. The lunch menu was not impressive at all and so we at next door at the deli for lunch. The crispy Brussel sprouts were very good. The ribeye was okay. The lees ferry trout was nothing special. The deserts were fine. There was an extensive wine list by the glass and bottle and all was reasonably priced. The service is hit or miss. Be aware that the online open table reservation system does not sync with their tablets at the host stand correctly. None of our reservations showed up but they were made prior to arriving at the park when we had reliable internet and we received confirmations. The staff is aware of the problem and added us to the waitlist upon arrival which was not an issue. I would suggest dining here for the experience in the park but to manage your expectations.

Yelp
Okay food. Okay service. Nice to have breakfast while looking at the canyon. I had huevos rancheros. Not bad. Shredded cabbage garnish was sort of weird.

Yelp
Let's be real, you don't have dinner in the North Rim Grand Canyon Lodge Dining Room Restaurant for the food. You come for the most spectacular view of your lifetime. The beautiful view cannot be understood until you see it in real life. It's truly breathtaking. We made our reservations online, which had very few slots to choose from. 4:30 4:45 or 9:30. We chose 4:45. When we got there we realized checking in early meant better window seat placement. We attempted to check in early at 4:30 when the restaurant opens. The battle hardened hostess told we wouldn't be seated until 4:45. We heard her turn away dozens of people wanting to walk in without reservations, despite the sign that stated they were not accepting walk ins due to full reservations. I felt for her. Choosing our 4:45 time slot was a mistake because all of the 4:30 reservations got the window seats. This wasn't ideal but we still got a fabulous view. The service was efficient. I think our entire dinner was only 60 minutes, even with appetizers and coffee. They offer a full bar but have no bar to belly up to. The food was mediocre and overpriced. It reminded me a lot of cafeteria food. For example, the brussel sprouts were soggy and appeared boiled (or steamed for an hour). But who cares!! The view!! Did I mention the view? Parking was limited. We got lucky and found a spot. If you come on a Saturday or Sunday, you might get shut out of getting into the park at all. So go early. If you have time for dinner here, do it.

Yelp
NOTE: This was our anniversary, with reservations made weeks in advance. We wanted a stellar meal, and to watch the sunset at the Grand Canyon. Absolutely worst meal I've paid for this century, and probably longer than that. Especially disappointing in a restaurant that uses tablecloths and has wine glasses and finer cutlery on the table! We wanted to split a meal with extra sides and have an awesome dessert. Ordered the brisket. A clueless server named Ash brought the brisket out immediately, like it was refused by another diner. Wife didn't want me to fuss about it, so it stayed on the table. Brisket was barely warm, and it was dry and tough. Biscuit that came with it was hard, dry, and cold. Corn on the cob was wrinkled and dry. Our added side of garlic mashed potatoes came out after the main meal was consumed, and wasn't that bad. Coleslaw was good...but it's only shredded cabbage with dressing! Dessert (which was comped after my meal complaints) was a no-flour chocolate 'cake'. (Was recommended by the manager, who appeared barely old enough to serve wine.) It was like the hardest chocolate cheesecake ever. Horrible! Terrible thing to attach the word 'cake' to! I've had gluten free desserts that were worthy to call dessert. This one was only trash can worthy! We've had breakfast here a few times. It was pricey, but the view is awesome. Don't buy dinner here! Entire staff are inexperienced and don't know what a high-end meal is supposed to look or taste like for the customers!

Yelp
The reservation system is a disaster and the food is meh. They served the worst short ribs I've ever eaten. I don't know whether it was because they were from a Buffalo or poorly prepared or both. The serving of mashed potatoes was like a child-sized ice cream scoop. I'd just hiked 26 miles and wanted a decent serving of mashed potatoes. The non-alcoholic beverage selection is lacking. My friend liked the quesadilla, but it was just plain cheese in a tortilla, not especially toasted. The service is good once you're seated. The reservation system and my travails with it could be the subject of an entire book, but I'll keep it short. You can't call. You have to make it well in advance, but more than about a month out they won't respond to your email. It's tough to find the email you're supposed to use to make a reservation. An extra star because the views are great. Reviews don't matter because they have a captive audience. The deli is terrible.
google avatar

Mike E.

Yelp
First of all it's the only game in town so they can charge and treat you however they want it is ridiculously OVERPRICED and not even worth half the amount charged. Secondly I've NEVER been asked, while finishing dinner and our wine, if we could finish up because there were hungry people waiting for a table. There were five of us and we had been there 48 minutes! Absolutely the single worst dining experience of my life!!
google avatar

Ed G.

Yelp
A $17 hamburger lunch, prepared well done only in advance and served almost cold on a cold, stale, untoasted bun, $7.50 beer almost room temperature served in a small, plastic juice cup, spiderwebs on chandelier, slow service. Bad food, high price, big disappointment. And houseflies. Have dinner reservations you have to make three months in advance with $35 entries. Not going. This is a classic tourist trap. Think 1960s amusement park food. Yes, it is just that bad. The two stars are for the view and building which are badly overbooked and sadly under served. Just don't go there. When you see plastic cups and utensils like this, run away.

McKenna P.

Yelp
Victoria and Jason were amazing thank you so much for the excellent service!! First time here and would come back

Yelp
Today, my family and I are staying for our 2nd night at the Lodge. We were pleased to see that lunch prices were affordable and planned our day around a late lunch. The handout we were given at check in said Lunch was served until 2:30. We arrived at 2:10 and were turned away because the staff told us lunch stopped at 2. I told the manager we were told 2:30. He would still not seat us. . If you're going to change the hours they need to be posted. There are no hours posted for meal times anywhere to begin with. Your check in employees need to give the correct times. Very frustrating. Very disappointing.

Yelp
The food is fine and maybe even good considering you are at the north rim of the grand canyon! The views are excellent and they do offer food orders to go which is nice when they are booked. The staff were nice but did seem overworked/understaffed. Plan ahead so you aren't stuck in lines waiting for your order or to even place your order. I do have to acknowledge that there are quite a few vegetarian options and that was a really pleasant surprise!

Cb C.

Yelp
An 'isolated' location that one might consider a reasonable excuse for really lousy poorly executed food options. On top of that it was very expensive food. If they are charging that much for crappy food they should up their game. Get a real chef with some real food. They really aren't that far from 'civilization'.
google avatar

Roz A.

Yelp
Their venison & smoked duck was awesome. Pretty much everything we had during our stay was amazing. Highly recommended this place.

Radames G.

Yelp
google avatar

Mike B.

Yelp
The food was good and view of the canyon was awesome. Our waiter recommended only getting the half order of meatloaf and he was spot on.
google avatar

Peter N.

Yelp
I have been here in the past before Covid and it was five stars. I was told they do not have many cooks so the food is mediocre at best. The food is expensive but it is like buffet food that is sitting under a warmer. 5 years ago I had the bison short ribs and it was one of my best dinners ever. No more. The food is barley warm and not that good. The view is fantastic if you get a table near the window. One can bring their own food and drink and sit on the most amazing view locations and enjoy food and the view. However; the restaurant is the only show in town besides the deli.

Yelp
Forever resorts is one of the concessionaires for our national parks. While I worked there I witnessed flagrant disregard for employment law and employee rights. Management operated on favoritism as the primary means of promoting and keeping employees. Anyone who complains or asks for the company to do something about the illegal actions happening is not asked back or fired. In the season I worked for them I witnessed extremely hostile environments created in every department. A policy of anger, misogyny, and disregard for guest services, in many cases, especially the front desk went out of their way to make the experience difficult for the guests. The dining room is filled with hostility and illegal management practices of intimidation and threats to ensure compliance. The lead server at night consistently treats team members poorly, oftentimes yelling at fellow employees for perceived violations in front of guests. Most of the time, he was in the wrong but unwilling to change because he always did things this way. The worst, harassment of young girls. One employee followed girls on trails and waited for them at night outside the employee pub, then he'd convince them he was a friend and talk them into sleeping with him. He was married. We are talking about over 100 young women effected. Forever's response was that they aren't responsible for what people do on their off time. Even though this behavior had extremely toxic consequences on the property including deteriorating the guest experience, forever refused to take action and invites this person back to work at the property year after year. Can you imagine getting a summer job only to have an assault or coerced intimate experience as your memory? The relationship with the National Park Service is one of animosity and the employees suffer for the inability of Forever to work with the government. Drugs and alcohol are a major issue, not marijuana, but meth and harder drugs. Employees who don't do a good job and do not provide good customer service and have bad reviews written about them are reward by coming back because they don't complain about the working conditions. Hopefully the NPS takes the actions needed to rectify this situation but it won't happen without pressure from employees, guests, and citizens who care about our national treasures.

Yelp
Dining in the lodge while looking out over the Grand Canyon is a once in a lifetime experience. The wait staff were very friendly and attentive and our meals were excellent. The menu includes many interesting options--bison spare ribs, venison meat loaf--and what we had was well prepared and very tasty. But overall this is about the experience. So book ahead, because they don't have enough spots for all the visitors, ask for a window table, and try to find a time about an hour and a half before sunset--so you can watch the colors change in the canyon and then duck outside for the grand finale.
google avatar

Yelp
We had dinner here our first night. I had the duck breast and my wife had the salmon. They were fine but the sides didn't have much flavor. Yes, it's expensive and the food is just OK at best. Know that going in. But the room itself and the views are amazing. That's why you eat there. The sun set as we ate and by the time we left we could see some lights from the south rim. If you're staying at the North Rim park, you should try to eat at least one meal there.

Yelp
Delaware North seems to be taking advantage of the beautiful view and captive audience. Do yourself a favor and steer very clear of the buffet. It was all the things that I dread about buffets and strongly resembles nursing home food. Rubbery chicken and fish, no flavor or sauce, and over cooked veggies. Order from the menu if you must eat here, and expect a long wait. Despite the beautiful view, there are screens going constantly inside that were distracting and contributed to an overall cheap atmosphere. Delaware North does not deserve this contract.

Yelp
Breakfast is first come, first served AYCE buffet with limited and basic items, no mimosas. It was good. Lunch and dinner are trickier because you need a reservation. I reserved dinner the day before and scored an early booking (We can try to "overbook" you...Yes. I'll allow it). I had the short ribs and All You Can Drink Buffett (JK). I started with the Prickly pear margarita, I would have kept ordering but they use Cuervo (AKA the high school tequila you took a swig from and passed around). I did not want THAT hangover, so next I ordered the espresso martini. Very good too. Next, I ordered the Penfolds Shiraz. Another awesome drink. I needed it to wash down my meal, you understand. For dessert, I had the creme brulle with the split of sparkling wine. Overall, not disappointed. Once again, seating is limited for lunch and dinner. Unless if you want to eat from their saloon or the food store.

Ryan B.

Yelp
Definitely get reservations ahead of time because it was sold out ( we had RSVP). The view was amazing and our waiter was very kind and knowledgeable of the area. Unfortunately the food was a bit disappointing. We order the smoked brisket. The portion was large but was over smoked and a bit dry. It was served on a hoagie bun. We also ordered chicken stuffed poblano pepper. It was a bit like shredded chicken breast stuffed in a pepper with cheese melted on top. It was just underwhelming considering where you were eating. We did have a large breakfast burrito the next morning from the saloon to go and it was pretty good and large. If your staying on site it's a good experience but manage your expectations. There other options may have been better.

Yelp
Sadly, this was a 50th anniversary dinner that left a lot to be desired. I'm not blaming anyone. It's slim pickings out here when it comes to food choices. The view is magnificent. It appears that there are supply chain and staffing issues. The wait staff were friendly and accommodating, but though the menu looked great, the food was hit or miss. The rolls came out immediately and were hot and fresh served with butter. Great start! My husband had elk chili and found it spicy delicious. Then came the entrees. The rib eye was well seasoned and perfectly cooked. However, two of us ordered the bison short ribs and found them cool, dry and tough. We sent them back and they were improved . Now hot and tender enough to cut, but still like eating dried out leftovers. My husband had the brisket, also dry and tough. We decided to skip dessert cut our losses. We'll try breakfast tomorrow because it's really the only option, but cancel our dinner reservations. If we're going to eat on paper plates with plastic forks and knives, we'd might as well eat at the deli for a fraction of the cost. Oh, and if there's such a water shortage that they can't wash the dishes, I'd rather forego the cloth table cloths to not have to eat a steak off a paper plate.

Yelp
When we decided to have dinner at the North Rim we checked out the options. There was the deli and there was the dining room. Then we noticed the dining room also had a buffet area with all the good stuff for $32.95. Sounds expensive, but so is the dining room. We enjoyed the food and the people working the buffet. It was a decent meal, lots of meats, vegetables, salads and the drink choices were water, ice tea, lemonade or coffee. If you wanted something alcoholic, you got it at the saloon a short distance away. The food was all very good, with the salmon, prime rib, rice medley and potatoes standing out. The desserts were nothing special, but were also tasty, cookies and chocolate cake. It is over an hours drive to someplace else to eat, so we were satisfied.

Yelp
While the ribeye and chicken poblano was great, our experience with Aiden (the guy seating people), was not. I managed to secure a 5pm reservation via phone with Deb who was very friendly and accommodating. There was a cancellation for that time so she took the time to walk over and get me booked with Aiden on the computer. However, when we arrived he refused to seat us and said no reservation existed. So we stood in line for 20 mins at the hotel registration and were able to track Deb down who then walked over and reminded Aiden of the reservation. He blew her off too and told us to come back between 5:30-6 and he'll "try" to get us in. No apology from him just arrogance. We managed to ultimately get a seat and I explained the situation to the manager, but it sort of ruined the whole experience. Bottom line-if you think you have a reservation - double check and get a confirmation number.

Yelp
Definitely skip the dinner. Extremely overpriced, bad food. Our burger was burned twice, even after asking for a fix. Service was the only saving grace. Our waitress took off the burger and was extremely nice. But getting a reservation was horrible and no one picks up the phone. Go to the deli and get a slice of pizza and enjoy the view outside for a fraction of the cost.

Yelp
Well, it doesn't get much better than this! I visited the North Rim for some photography, but rain was in the skies so I only got s few shots the first afternoon. Not to be discouraged, I arose the next morning to give it another shot. I could not help being impressed with the expansiveness and beauty of the Canyon as I roamed the trails below the North Rim Lodge. Between photos and chats with travelers from all over the world, it was a memorable experience.

Yelp
Made a reservation for the dining room about a month before we planned to be at the park. Had no problems with the online system. Did get an email asking me to confirm a few days in advance. The Lodge and area around it are beautiful. There are also a saloon and a deli in the lodge, but the views from the dining room are stunning. We had almost everything on the menu in our group of seven and it was all excellent. The favorite meal was the roast pork loin, but the short ribs and venison meatloaf were also great. Service was terrific and friendly. And again the views!

Yelp
No one will dispute that you come to the North Rim for its majestic views and not its food. When I booked a couple of cabins a few months before our arrival I was intrigued by its restaurant but when I tried to book a table, all time slots were available. I therefore assumed that there was no need to book a table which was a mistake. When tout arrive back to the cabin after hours spent walking around, you're starving but all tables are reserved... It took us a few nights to find a slot. When we were finally seated the food was Ok but our attention kept being drawn to the views. This restaurant has reasonable food which cannot out compete the views. And it's good that way. Go but book ahead of time

Yelp
Magical views, that's it. Took 3 tries to cook my steak. Very disappointing. Gave it another try a few days later and steak was completely well done. What does a guy have to do to get a steak done medium? Hamburger was a glorified hockey puck. I get that it's remote and difficult to get food, but the problems I experienced were performance based.

Yelp
This place has the worst restaurant marketing. The phone number in Yelp is not functioning. I checked their website and called that number only to be told to call another number which yielded nothing. I finally just drove to The place and there was nothing there at the location pointed by Yelp. When I entered the Grand Canyon park, I was told the lodge had a dining room but after all of this runaround I decided to patronize the deli. If you want customers to come to you you have to give proper information about your whereabouts.

Yelp
This is a great atmosphere with great views. Reasonably priced food, portions are massive, you could almost say they are grand! I had the Turkey Club and it was huge. Five stars - no question!

Yelp
The view is why you would eat here. The shiva pasta did not have any sauce or flavor. And, we never received the table bread even after reminding the waiter. Drink refills were offered after we finished eating.

Yelp
Food was pricey but excellent. We asked and waited for a window seat and ended up with a seat near a window facing a rock wall. Not exactly what we wanted and so we were disappointed. They should have mentioned this. Waiter was very good though.

Yelp
Good food... Good service... Priced high, but it is a nice place to eat after a hike or the mule ride we took. The view is amazing...

Yelp
This is a fantastic location for a restaurant - at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. For dinner you must make reservations, though and they won't guarantee a spot by the window. I had high hopes for this meal as they have an upscale sounding menu, but alas it just wasn't worth it. When we arrived for dinner it was very crowded, noisy and bustling. The waiters do move fast, which is good but also meant they lacked personality. I felt like we were treated as if we were in the way, a bother. Something to be "got through". The hostess also seated us at a 4 seat table and removed the settings that HAD THE VIEW! So we rearranged ourselves to see out. Worst of all was the food - I had trout that had so much panko breading and overly sweet sauce you couldn't taste the fish. My husband had duck, which was surprisingly tough and also covered in a sweet sauce. They did have good bread warm from the oven and the sides were also tasty. In fact, the green beans were the best part of the meal. We had the brownie dessert - not to my liking and tasted like the brownie came from a box. It was very expensive - $130 for two with no bottle of wine to account for the price. This restaurant could be and SHOULD be better! Perhaps the room could be expanded to include more window tables or an extra charge for window seats as well. I would be willing to pay a little extra for that guarantee! I'd also appreciate service that fit the restaurant - more upscale and less rushed. If you want to eat here, you might try a less expensive lunch instead.

Yelp
We ate at the dining room at the North Rim. The view was fabulous and so was the food. Even though they had just opened for the season, the wait staff were excellent. This was the best meal we had in our whole Grand Canyon trip. Not to be missed. The price was reasonable, particularly considering the location.

Yelp
We really loved eating here. The food and service were excellent. We had lunch. Elk chili is terrific! It'll we waited twenty-five minutes for a table when half the dining room was empty though. I get that there may have been staffing issues, but we saw plenty of people working. That was the only issue. We ran up to the gift shop while we waited and our buzzer told us when we went out of range. That was helpful. The views could not be better. There are nice hiking trails right there. It was one of the better meals we have had on our vacation.
