Grand Canyon University Hotel and Restaurant

The rooms are lovely, and the pool is gorgeous, especially lit up at night. Everyone is friendly, the food in the restaurant is food, there are fresh options that can be charged to your room after hours, as well as a many vending options including refrigerated desserts and microwavable choices. Then there are the towels - nice size, and available for use at the pool - best towels I can remember anywhere aside from at a resort. A variety of little toiletries are nice size as well. It's a nice place to stay :)

Our first room had an odor to it. The floors above us creaked but they allowed us to move. Our next room smells much better but it's by the highway and we hear every sound including the people next door to us. I have been told the area isn't the best but I have seen nothing to prove that. This would be a great place if it was cleaned up a bit more but I understand that it will be closing soon and under new management which is sad because with updates it would be the ideal place for parents to visit their children and for future Residencies.

This is a wonderful place to go to school. My daughter very much enjoyed her first year at Grand Canyon. She is very excited about her second year. Everybody is super nice. the security top notch. The dorm rooms are exceptionally clean. I highly recommend at least checking this place out for your college experience. The hotel is worth staying at. the restaurant is very good. The pool is beautiful but a little shallow for my taste.

Very friendly and kind staff. Sometimes, the staff didn't know the area. The atmosphere is warm . The restaurant was delightful, a great variety of food and drink. We most enjoyed the hot tub and pool areas. The room was neat and clean with comfortable beds. We would very much like to recommend this hotel and we plan to come back.

What a great surprise!! First time staying at this hotel. Everything was amazing, from the time you walk in to the beautiful lobby which connects to the restaurant, the kids at the front desk were super friendly, check in was a breeze. I live in Phoenix and needed a night away from everything to rest and that's exactly what I got...my room was beyond words clean...my king size bed was very comfortable, plenty of pillows, clean towels, clean bathroom, the furniture almost seemed new...I did not get a chance to eat at the restaurant or to try the pool but I'll be sure to do so when I stay here again because I will definitely stay here again and again. The room rates are excellent on top of it all.

The room was clean, bed was comfortable. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was your standard hotel spread, but always appreciated. They give you bottles of water at check in, and the next day i asked to buy 2 more, but they gave me two more worth no charge. The pool area is very pretty with plenty of seating. The hotel is on the campus, and there are security guards at the gate. Made me feel a little safer.

It is great hotel managed by students. It is convenient, not fussy and centrally based. I loved huge pool and sunbathing area. Staff goes above and beyond to help you, so this was definitely a huge advantage. I had a lunch in the restaurant and took burger, as everyone recommended. It was good and juicy. On the improvement side, rooms are quite dark and bathrooms are dated. In the night time (I was traveling alone), it gets a little bit creepy. Area is quite dodgy, so it is great that hotel has security and gated entrance. Access to the rooms is through the shared balcony. During the night someone started knocking to the neighbor's room, and since walls are quite thin, I woke up and thought they are knocking to my room.

I stood here with my sister for the weekend. It was absolutely amazing. Room was nice, spacious and clean. The pool was amazing. The food provided was to die for. The people in AZ are so kind and willing to help. The GCU campus is beautiful with so many things to do. I will definitely be making another trip here hopefully this summer.
