This place is absolutely not worth the time or nerves. After parking your car, you’ll face a massive line of tourists waiting for the shuttle buses to the observation deck. The bus ride itself takes only 3 minutes, but once you arrive, you’ll find yourself in an even longer line—1.5 to 2 hours just to get to the observation platform. It’s worth noting that there is a “fast pass” option to skip the long queue, but it costs $100 per person, which feels excessive. We arrived at 4 PM, which is already considered off-peak, so it’s hard to imagine how bad it gets in the morning or midday and in the summer. We visited at the end of December, which is also not a peak season. Before going to the observation deck, you must leave all bags and even your mobile phones in a locker. On the deck itself, they will offer to take photos of you, but accessing the digital pictures costs $50. Pro tip: ask the photographer to take as many pictures as possible to increase your chances of getting a decent one. One positive aspect is that the staff is incredibly polite and helpful. They do their best to assist with any questions or issues, which slightly offsets the overall frustration. Finally, you’ll end up waiting in another line for the buses to take you back to the parking lot. Overall, despite the friendly staff, the experience was extremely disappointing.

Had a wonderful amazing experience at the Grand Canyon this past Monday!!! So very beautiful pictures do not do it justice It has to be seen with your own eyes. One of the seven wonders of the world is a must-see! I highly recommend going and experiencing this wonderful, beautiful place!!!! Loved the Grand Canyon and you will too!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Get a cabin, they’re clean, well organized and ideally located. Helicopter tour of the canyon was an absolute home run. If you want a timeless memory, that’s the ticket right there! Skywalk was fun as well as Guano Point. You can squeeze it all in one day if necessary but really try to take a day and a half to include a hike. Lots of coyotes, deer and roadrunners. Another highlight was driving through the most amazing Joshua Tree Forest, a sight that cannot be comprehended with digital imaging. An hour away from Vegas so flights are inexpensive and you can spend an evening watching a show before you fly home. Hoover Dam drive by on the way. This was a fun short journey!

I went through this experience on my first visit and have to say I was disappointed. Yes, you walk out over a massive drop, but (at least when I went), you have to remove your shoes, wear some sort of slippers they provide, presumably to protect the glass surface for viewing. You also have to remove everything from your pockets and were not allowed to take your camera with you. In some ways that makes sense since people with cameras can do silly things, including dropping them and damaging the glass, but it dilutes one of the points of going to such an exclusive place - to take a picture of yourself doing it. They do take pictures of you for you, but the price is exorbitant. On the second trip to the canyon, I advised my party not to bother. The only difference in the view is really the straight down hanging over the edge perspective.

The Grand Canyon West Skywalk is an unforgettable experience! Walking on the glass bridge that extends over the canyon gives you an exhilarating, heart-stopping view of the vast, beautiful landscape below. The views are beyond spectacular, and the whole experience feels both awe-inspiring and surreal. The staff is friendly, and the photo opportunities are endless. It’s a unique way to truly appreciate the magnitude of the Grand Canyon—definitely worth the trip!

Google
I visited this tourist area of the Grand Canyon on January 3rd, and while it’s undoubtedly a unique experience, I wouldn’t say it’s worth the $71 price tag. The views are breathtaking, and it’s one of those places you should visit at least once in your lifetime to see it for yourself rather than just hearing about it. However, the overall experience didn’t meet my expectations. For instance, the floor of the Skywalk, which is supposed to give you the thrilling illusion of walking on air over the canyon, was cloudy and scratched, completely ruining the effect of transparent glass. It’s disappointing, considering this is one of the main attractions. If you’re thinking about upgrading your visit with a helicopter ride, be prepared to spend significantly more—$71 just for the base ticket and an additional $300 per person for the helicopter experience. While the views from above might be incredible, the cost feels excessive for what you actually get. And don’t even get me started on the $100 charge just to use your own phone to take pictures! It feels like a scam designed to push you into paying for their $50 photo packages. To make matters worse, none of the photos they took surpassed my expectations, leaving me feeling like I wasted both my time and money. Overall, while the Grand Canyon itself is undeniably magnificent, the tourist experience in this particular area feels overpriced, underwhelming, and riddled with unnecessary charges. It could benefit from significant improvements to justify the steep prices.

Google
What an amazing visit!! Truly breathtaking to walk on the sky view and get to see Eagle Rock. The staff and photographers were very helpful and friendly, and made the visit so much better. A few things you need to know before arriving: you can buy your tickets online on the GCW website, or directly on the visitor center. We bought them online and the process was hassle free. We arrived early in the morning (around 9am), and it made quite a difference because it wasn’t so crowded and we found parking easily. When we left around 2pm it was packed and very little parking was left. We had the chance to take as many pictures as we wanted and really enjoy the skywalk with just a few other people (we were actually alone for at least 10 minutes) Later that day, there was a line to get in and out. You can’t bring any personal items to the skywalk, you need to use the lockers that they provide before entering. There’s a metal detector so don’t try to sneak your phone. They’ll take the pictures for you and if you buy the picture package they’ll throw some amazing pictures of the view for free. After visiting the skywalk we walked around the outside of the Eagle Rock building, seeing the Native exhibits. Then we took the bus to Guano Point and OMG, what a view! You have to walk a few hundred meters and climb a little bit it’s worth your time

Google
Absolutely amazing experience. So cool. I have always wanted to visit and was so glad I had the opportunity. They were very accommodating with my service dog. They asked what her job was and gave her a band to signify she was cleared. She was even allowed on the Skywalker with me All the staff were very friendly. In a weird way it's nice not having your phone. You are living in the moment.

Yelp
Grand Canyon Skywalk is a cantilever bridge in Grand Canyon West, Arizona run by the Hualapai Tribe and located on the Hualapai Reservation. The bridge is see through so you are looking down into the Grand Canyon and perched on the side of it. There is a strict no cell phone policy. They make you lock up all of your belongings before you go on the skywalk. While you're out there they take pictures of you which they will sell you for $50 or you can pay $110 to be able to bring your cell phone on the skywalk. I get it. If they let you just bring your phone out there no one would ever get off the skywalk because they would be taking 2000 pictures. Either way if you get the chance to add this onto your trip to the Grand Canyon you should do it. Breathtaking views and yes, I paid the $50 for the photos. When are you ever going to get that opportunity again? Is this a tourist trap? Yes. You are a tourist though!

Yelp
There are two ways to enjoy the West Rim of the Grand Canyon & SkyWalk. You can either drive your self from Las Vegas or Arizona and buy your own tickets and plan your own trip OR get a package deal from Viator. I found this great package tour on Viator which included the guided tour bus, brief stops, water bottles, restroom and optional package deals with lunch, SkyWalk and even a Helicopter ride. It all depends on how much you're willing to experience and pay. (Just make sure you get what you pay for) The beautiful part of all this is that you don't have to drive, you enjoy the scenery, your company, get to sleep and hopefully your tour guide is experienced, funny and knowledgeable like mine. (Wayne- from Gray Line Tours) ProTip-#1 listen to your guides, they have been doing this for a long time. Plan to be out all day, since your day will start early. It usually takes about 10 to 12 hours, depending on traffic, weather, and if people are on time or late in the tour. Please plan ahead, coordinate what you need and you will have a great experience. The Skywalk was amazing, the view and the awe of the WestRim is breathtaking. I highly recommend eating the Native American lunch at Guano Point which was so delicious. My favorite was: (BBQ Pulled Pork with mashed potatoes, gravy, a biscuit and corn on the cob) there is also a Chicken and Vegetarian Option with Curry. (Pro Tip #2) If you want to buy souvenirs I recommend you either get them at the SkyWalk area or leave them for last. Don't waist your time with that stuff at the beginning, you will waist valuable time for the SkyWalk, Helicopter ride and the shuttle. So your main attractions first.

Yelp
Walking on the glass bridge suspended 4,000 feet above the canyon floor was an exhilarating experience that I'll never forget. The ticket price was reasonable considering the once-in-a-lifetime experience and the facilities available. It included access to the Skywalk, shuttle service to various viewpoints, and cultural exhibits. There are professional photographers available to capture your moments on the Skywalk. They take stunning photos with the canyon as your backdrop, ensuring you have memorable souvenirs of your visit. Just be prepared for crowds during peak times and consider visiting earlier in the day for a quieter experience.

Yelp
Not worth it at all. Total ripoff. 220 for a party of 3 just to walk onto the skywalk. Do yourself a favor and drive to the Grand Canyon South rim instead. This place is designed to milk tourists for as much money as possible with a very sub par experience. They do not allow you to bring cameras to the skywalk so that you have to pay for the camera pictures taken by their own cameramen. Even if you come here, only take the basic package without the Skywalk. The Skywalk is totally overrated and definitely not worth 20 dollars to see with no memories. I bet the reason they don't allow you to take pictures is to prevent people from realizing that it's not worth paying for.

Yelp
Visited the Grand Canyon Skywalk at Eagle Point at the Grand Canyon's West Rim on a sunny day in September with clear blue skies. Eagle Point is a beautiful, natural rock formation that sits within the sacred land of the Hualapai Nation. These sacred rocks look like an eagle spreading its wings over the canyon with a rich history to match. So interesting to walk over the edge of the West Rim on the Skywalk. It was amazing to be able walk on one of the large glass bridges in the world, be able to "walk the path of the eagle" and step out over the Grand Canyon for a one-of-a-kind perspective 4,000 feet above sea level. The Grand Canyon Skywalk is a horseshoe-shaped cantilever bridge with a glass walkway at Eagle Point. It extends 70 feet and can withstand an 8.0 magnitude earthquake within 50 miles. It first opened as a tourist attraction in 2007 and now welcomes over a million visitors to the sacred land of the Hualapai Nation annually. Although it is only about 75 miles east of Las Vegas, Nevada, it is a nearly 130-mile drive by car on paved roads. While waiting to walk on the skywalk, take the time to read about the history of the Hualapai People. The Trail of Tears. Ceremonies. Life on the reservation. Traditional dress and housing. Education. The line to enter the bridge took about 90 minutes, part is outside the visitor's center and then the other part is a line that weaves back and forth with displays and information lining the walls. Before you enter the skywalk, you have to place all your belongings in a locker, including cameras and cell phones, and then put on shoes covers to protect the glass walkway. A photographer will take 6 photos which cost $50 for an access code. (Would have liked to have been told that there was a limit of photos in advance to have planned a bit better.) The Grand Canyon Skywalk is a very interesting and controversial architectural feat. The Skywalk and Grand Canyon West are means of tourism with entrance fees that support the Hualapai Nation. It was definitely an interesting site to see, but my favorite stop was Guano Point for the dramatic 360 views.
google avatar

Abbey R.

Yelp
Obvious cash grab. Just drive the extra time to the South entrance if you can! Every activity is at least $30 and the ziplines don't go over the big part of the canyon
google avatar

Kristin Z.

Yelp
Yes, it's expensive. My recommendation, like others, is to just pay for general admission if you're just going for the view. You'll have access to Eagle Point and Guano Point. Those provide all the view and climbing and fun you'll need. The Skywalk itself is pretty small, the view is the same, and the only difference is you can see through the glass. If you do opt for the Skywalk, this is the picture situation- they take 8 photos. You can buy photos at $25 each or get all 8 for $50. They are digital- no prints. They need to use the money they're getting to get another bus or two because it can take awhile to get picked up. All that said, it's a decent day trip from Vegas if you're not willing to drive all the way to Grand Canyon proper. All in all, we're glad we went.
google avatar

J H.

Yelp
Beautiful views, but not worth the extra money or time to go over the skywalk. The General Admission is enough. The skywalk is scratched up so it's harder to see through the glass. You feel rushed to walk thru. The wait for the Skywalk walk thru took too long for such a short time on the actual walkway. Since you can't take your own pictures, there are photographers there to take photos that you get 4 digital versions for $50. Not even a printed out. You're given one size fit all booties to go over shoes so you don't add to the scratches of the walkway. Guano Point was so cool to see and I wish we had more time to hang out and explore. Bring a picnic and relax. But it was getting to the end of the end of the day and decided it was time to go. There was a third stop but we never made it. The line waits burnt the kiddos out.

Steffanie C.

Yelp
First off- this is not part of a national park- your national pass will not work here. The drive there is so beautiful with the Joshua Trees. The scenery is breathtaking. Absolutely pay just the general admission. The skywalk is a total joke. Paid $25-30 extra dollars to walk out over a gorge and could NOT take our own pictures. We had the service dogs with us and wanted to film them on the skywalk but that didn't happen. Once you buy admission tickets, you hop on a bus that shuttles you to 2 stops. 1st stop- eagle point where the skywalk is located. Not at all worth a dime to stop and waste your time. Just take the shuttle to the 2nd stop for the most breathtaking and amazing views you could see in your life.
google avatar

Dana M.

Yelp
If you've never seen the Grand Canyon, don't bother with this place. Go to an actual national park. This is owned by the Hualapai Indian Tribe and not that great. There are only two things to see and one is the cantilevered glass Skywalk and the other is another view of the canyon. It will cost you $80 and $25-$50 if you want any photos when you are on the bridge as you are not allowed your own camera. The bridge its self is cool-ish but worth $20 for the 5 minutes you are on it. It's much smaller than expected and yes, you are 4,000 feet in the air. The building of it is the most amazing thing. The canyon is not as pretty as the south entrance of the GCNP and there is not much to do or see. It was a really long way to go for not so much. There is nothing else around and limited cell service. So, if you are expecting Disneyland, you are going to get Six Flags.

Yelp
So we're in Vegas for my 40th and today went to the Grand Canyon. We bought the tix for the canyon and the sky bridge, came to lk 170$. So you are waiting for a shuttle to take you to the dam and we didn't have long to wait, it runs every 15 mins or so. Omg that sky walk was terrifying if you're deathly afraid of heights lk me. So before you can go on u have to put everything in a locker. And I'm surprised they dnt charge you for that bc literally everything is charged or someone was wanting tips. So after that you put booties on. Then there is a person for each group to take photos of you in various Positions, I think it's lk 8 or 10. We only got through three bc I was too scared, I held on to by bfs shirt tight and had my eyes closed and got the hell outta there. We ate at the skywalk by the window too, and weee able to take pics that way, the food was disgusting I would not recommend wasting your money there, we got a chicken and steak bowl, so gross and cold I even told the waitress they didn't put it in the microwave long enough and she didn't deny that's how they did it so idk ‍. After the canyon shuttle they take you to the next spot I forgot the name but they warn you bc there is not anything protecting you from getting too close to the edge lk the canyon. I saw guys getting literally on the very edge to look into to canyon and take pics. I was so scared for them. Oh also forgot to add that at the end you get to see all your pics and I think 1 was $25 or all for $50, no prints only digital and the older white man working was rude when I told my bf I didn't want any. Over all a nice experience but personally it's a one and done for me.

Yelp
First time coming here. Very disappointing. I went on the sky walk and the view was great but wasn't worth $70 dollars to see something that you can outside the skywalk. " no phones or wallet or anything allowed on the sky walk ". They will take pictures for you but charge you $50 in the end when you want the picture. Our photographer didn't take great photos of us. Disappointing photos for $50 dollars. The shuttles took about 45 min to pick us up. Unorganized business. Would not recommend to go here.

Steve R.

Yelp
Very expensive even with my military discount. Skywalk is a lot smaller than I expected. Too many employees taking pictures of everyone. You can't bring your camera/phone...it must be locked up in a locker. No memories unless you pay for them! I'm 62 and I've been to many places. This one is a rip off. Guano point was a little better. Save your money and go to the south rim.
google avatar

Ervin S.

Yelp
Not what I expected...Unfriendly staff who looked like I was inconveniencing them. Expensive pricing to do the sky walk and have expensive poorly taken pictures. Go to Tombstone...It is more exciting and has a lot more to offer. Seriously eagle overlook and the canyon view is no more than 10 minutes of your time...After 10 minutes I was dying to leave. This has been a bucket list of mine forever...I was disappointed. However, Tombstone was a gem!
google avatar

Scott K.

Yelp
If this is your only option to see the Grand Canyon then do it. If you have the time, the North rim and South rim are much more picturesque. So let's talk about this place, super simple to get to with plenty of parking. A bus will transport you to two different locations. On the skywalk no personal items are permitted on the walk itself. They do offer free lockers to store your stuff. You need to apply shoe covers which are provided. Once outside if you want photos you will be directed by the photographers to very quickly take five photos which you can buy for $50 with zero hard copies.

Michael V.

Yelp
Not worth at all. Just on a side canyon without overlooking the river and you can't take your own pictures. The ones they take are the most miserable you could imagine. It's just to take your money between entry charge and pictures.
google avatar

Rodge B.

Yelp
We rented a van and went here on a last minute excursion out of Las Vegas on Nov 12, 2023. It was pretty much the perfect weather. Sunny and clear. Summertime would be a different story. Holy shit, this place is out there. It's just under 2 hours each way with about half the drive on a two lane road where cattle can just walk across. Pretty shocking to someone who's from the east coast where everything is so built up. There aren't too many passing zones on this road, so keep that in mind. I also didn't have any AT&T service as we got farther east of US-93. Anyway, the views were pretty cool. Everything is so quiet due to the canyon just swallowing up every sound. The skywalk itself was okay, and seeing birds flying way below you was cool. The photographer was herding us along and didn't really get the solo pictures with the canyon in the background we wanted. Guano Point was interesting. We got some great shots from the uppermost peak there. Very pricey for what you get.

Yelp
Tourist Trap!! Long wait in line, glass floor scuffed up, much smaller platform than expected but the WORST and most INSULTING thing is that after stripping you of your phone you get bossed around by these PUSHY native photo hawkers in blue shirts clogging up the walkway, insisting on stupid poses, and draining any joy from the experience. Miserable people, annoying experience. RIPOFF
google avatar

Cindy G.

Yelp
We had such a fun experience to visit the Grand Canyon with Skywalk & the Guano Point, Arizona. Absolutely breath-taking and you can just sit & take it all in. Enjoyed walking through the path trail in Guano Point and learning history from our tour guide with Trip Advisor- Max Tour. Making memories and sharing is what life's about. So glad we had this opportunity to finally see the wonders of the Grand Canyon.
google avatar

Yelp
A true nightmare! Wait in lines to get to the skywalk, wait in an hour long line to get to the skywalk. It's dirty and you can barely see through the plexiglass, it's crowded, you can't take belongings on the walk with you. If you go to the little wild west town, you can go on a couple hikes to some more remote views of the canyon. They are easy and so much better. Avoid the skywalk at all costs.
google avatar

Jeremy J.

Yelp
This is definitely a fun cool experience to check out while you're there. However it is way over price for what actually happens and you waited in line for well over two hours probably it took forever to get this experience over and done for the 10 minutes that you're actually out on the skywalk. They won't let you take your phone out there your keys whatever it's cool just go out there and walk on the Grand Canyon through a glass skywalk but it's really not worth the price
google avatar

Hector B.

Yelp
I went to several points of interest along the Grand Canyon, and this was the least worthwhile of all. You are better off going to the National Grand Canyon Park https://maps.app.goo.gl/kiujoc6N5xdf17Nk8 or Horseshoe Bend in Page, AZ https://maps.app.goo.gl/Fkgaq8H71PaHw1xeA. You are a lot more free to roam about and explore at your leisure and they are both less expensive. By comparison, your movements seem to be a lot more restrictive here. You can't take your own pictures on the skywalk. Additionally, you need to wait for their busses which are not very timely. Also, it's more expensive to come here and yet not as worth-while.
google avatar

Rochelle M.

Yelp
The route to Grand Canyon West is a relaxing 2 hour drive from Las Vegas. If you can, make some stops along the way to admire the views and take scenic pictures. We arrived early so the weather was perfect. We didn't encounter any lines or crowds. There was one family with us on the bus ride up. We bought the Grander Package which included General Admission, Skywalk tickets and a meal at the Sky View Restaurant. We learned about the history and rich traditions of the Hualapai tribe. But it's the breathtaking views that makes this all worthwhile. There are no rails in several areas so we were able to walk up a few feet from the edge and take some amazing pictures. Now the Skywalk in an experience! The feeling of walking on glass above the canyon is indescribable. We came at a good time with only one other couple on the Skywalk. We didn't feel rushed as we marveled at the natural wonder that we probably won't see this way again for years. The photographer was ok -- he kept trying to get us to do some really cheesy poses, but we did end up with one really nice photo. We then headed to Sky View Restaurant for a much needed break. We were seated right away at a table overlooking the Skywalk and more beautiful views. The menu is basic, but good. Service was nice. We never felt rushed. We then stopped at the gift shop to pick up souvenirs. There were crowds of people arriving on the bus as we left. Overall a great experience that we'll always remember. It is quite pricey, but we knew all that before coming here. So I recommend doing your research and to come prepared.

Yelp
IMPOSSIBLE TO CANCEL RESERVATION. I have been trying to reach them for 3 days. No response and no call back. When I purchased the tickets, there is a notification that we can cancel at any time prior 24h. However, the only way of cancellation - make a call. Many tries, no response at all.

Yelp
If you're traveling from Vegas, it's about a 2.5 hour drive. When using the GPS, make sure to type in Grand Canyon West. There will be plenty of signs to guide you there, and there will be a temperature checkpoint (for COVID) prior to arriving to the shuttle bus to go to the Skywalk. Once we arrived, the bus driver informed us that we are allowed to take as many photos as we want before going inside. I recommend doing this AFTER going in case the lines are long. From our personal experience, the lines were very long. The tickets were purchased through a 3rd party website (Vegas.com), so when we tried to print the tickets from the kiosk it couldn't find our names in the database and had to get in line at the ticket counter. Once you get inside there will be lockers to stow away all personal items, as cameras & handbags are prohibited at the Skywalk. Don't fret though because there will be a lot of professional photographers to take photos (up to 10), and later you can select if you want to purchase. I thought it was a great deal for our group of 6 since we decided to split up the photos (group, individual, and some couple pics). 1 photo costs $17 while the whole package is $65, so splitting it turned out to be really cheap! I was really impressed with the U-shaped glass skywalk! No matter the angle you look from, the views are undeniably spectacular!! I don't suggest wearing heels here. It's very dusty on land, and can be a potential hazard when you're walking near the edge. Besides, you'll be required to wear booties over your shoes when you're on the glass skywalk. Highly recommend dining at the Skywalk restaurant where you can continue to enjoy the views from inside. The menu is very basic, and only offered about 4 items: quarter pound cheeseburger, chicken tenders, grilled chicken sandwich, and something else I forgot. All comes with fries and a fountain drink. There were a couple of gift shops and outside were some cool looking huts that can be used as photo ops. Also, lots of historical artifacts from the tribes. Really loved everything about this tour, and felt it was worth the price! Bring a hat and SPF, because it gets HOT! Don't be like me and go during the fall/winter.

Yelp
Highlight of the year for us! It was worth it going to the Grand Canyon West Rim and the Sky Walk on November 19, Sunday and arriving around 8:30 AM. We were practically the only ones on the Sky Walk bridge and enjoyed chatting with the friendly security staff and photographer. The whole experience went smoothly, everyone we had encountered was nice and it was easy getting on the shuttle bus to Eagle Point, Guano Point, etc. The lockers were adequately spacious. No bags allowed but men could keep their wallets in their pockets when going on the bridge, by the way. We didn't check out any of the restaurants because since it wasn't crowded, we were able to stay longer on the bridge and really take in the breathtaking views much longer than expected. Definitely worth it -- including paying for the digital photo package!

Ralph P.

Yelp
The Skywalk is fun however they refuse to let us bring our cell phones with us for they want to rip us off by charging $50 to take 8 photos. The whole tour is a ripoff . A coke is $5.60 it is time to boycott this place. Basically it is a complete ripoff. The views are nice but they need more buses and drivers that see enthusiastic. The moron that enters the code of the tickets before taking the bus is not friendly and just is in love with money . Be very careful when walking for many rocks are loose and an accident is waiting to happen. Boycott

Yelp
Bottom Line Up Front: gorgeous views close to vegas but, kind of pricey! If you are looking for a good day trip from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon this is a good one, just be prepared to spend some $$$$$. For example for me and my husband: General Admission $45.00 per person ($90.00) To see the sky walk: $23.00 per person ($46.00) That's 136.00 for 2 people. Same price for kids!! Food is 22.00 at the cafe for a burger, tenders, or chicken sandwich. You can add on a zip-line, pontoon tour, or helicopter tour. Beautiful views!

Despite the reviews scoffing at the price and the need to use the staff photographers, we knew we couldn't go to the west rim and not enjoy the Skywalk. It offers a unique opportunity to see the canyon through both the glass side walls and the glass bottom, and it's exceptional to watch birds flying under your feet and enjoy the canyon from a distinct airy vantage.

Yelp
My husband and our friends had a great time here! It was so beautiful! We're glad we could check this off our bucket list! We waited in line for a bit, but that was to be expected! They wouldn't allow you to bring your phones or even a Go Pro on the skywalk, which was disappointing. But we understand it being for safety reasons! One of the staff members on the bridge told us how one time, a man was proposing to his girlfriend on the bridge with his grandmothers wedding ring. And when he went to put it on her finger he dropped it, and the ring fell through the small opening of the glass floor. So after hearing that story we understood why they don't allow you to bring anything on the skywalk! After walking the bridge, we had lunch at the restaurant above the Skywalk! Surprisingly, there wasn't many people at the restaurant! We enjoyed the view from the restaurant and watching people slowly walk across the skywalk!

Yelp
There is a special going on right now till the end of 2020. $39 general admission plus $20 extra for the skywalk. I'm not sure how much general admission was before but I do know the prior prices deterred me from going sooner. With all the negatives, I came prepared. Ready for the long wait for the shuttle and line for the skywalk (picture line), paying an arm and leg for bottled water and souvenirs. Well I didn't experience any of that. The ticket price is the same at the door, online and over the phone. So to avoid standing in another line, buy online/over the phone and go straight to the shuttle line. Arrive before noon, we arrived by 10:40 a.m. and the security told me they were only at a 5% capacity. Covid-19 pluses Before you even get to park, everyone gets a temperature check, where the sick ones will be turned away without having to be in contact with anyone. There are hand sanitizers everywhere. The shuttle capacity is 10 with every other row of seats taped off (with excellent ac). Social distancing 6 feet away stickers on the ground. Mask is required even on the skywalk, the only time it can be removed is when the photographer takes your pic. -other positives no time limit, enjoy all the scenery as long as you want, no time limit on the skywalk either. We stayed aprox 2.5 hours. Just a note, online it says no food or drinks but you are allowed to bring food and water. Of course nothing absolutely nothing is allowed on the skywalk. They offer free lockers before going on it. -On the shuttle, upon entering sit to the left (opposite driver side) for better views. So I guess because of the pandemic, I can say I had a good experience. I got discounted general admission + skywalk tickets, a $5.99 magnet I wanted was on clearance for $2.72, didn't wait in any line, we brought in our own waters and mini fans, straw hats, arrived before prime time and got close parking and sun blocked up. The only negative is the $65 charge for a digital photo package. I wish there was a covid discount too :) The gorgeous view is priceless!

Yelp
When you've been couped up and itchin' to get out! I found this adventure in Groupon. It's a drive going to the Skywalk but if you play ambient trance music when you get to the Joshua Tree Reserved Park. It feels like you're going through another dimension or being part of Dr. Seuss's book. When you've reached the reservation, there is a stopping point. A security guard will take your temperature and a mask is required at all times to wear. The security guard will instruct you where to go. When you see the white dome, park and go inside dome to buy the Skywalk tickets. Inside the dome, there is a souvenir shop, restrooms and you can buy beverages. A shuttle will bring you to Skywalk and Eagle Point. There are fantastic views of the Grand Canyon West where you can take group pictures and selfies. But don't fall off the cliff! Inside the Skywalk building, there are lockers are available to put cell phones, bags and etc. A security guard will scan your ticket and give you instructions. In the waiting area, there is a line for photos and a line for walking through the Skywalk. There is a clear glass window that you can see people's reactions when they walk on the Skywalk. It's pretty entertaining but you will feel your clammy palms and the heartbeat goes faster because of that fear of falling off through the glass when you walk through the Skywalk. I felt it but when you're on the Skywalk, there will be someone taking your pictures and I've forgotten that I was walking through a clear glass angled thousands of feet high hovering Grand Canyon West. Walking through the Skywalk was a fun experienced. You can buy a print out of a picture or buy the picture package for $65 to download the pictures from an app. After visiting the Skywalk, you can walk through the Native Village and see how Natives built housing structures in the past. I was able to walk inside them. Learning and taking pictures was cool. To go to Guano point, you have to hop on to a shuttle. At Guano Point, there is a snack bar that you can buy food. There are trails to Guano Point. I enjoyed walking through the high rocky trail to see the views. This area has a different perspective, you can see the Colorado river below. Even though it was hot that day, I did not complain one bit because how often are we able to enjoy to travel in challenging times. My recommendation is to eat a big breakfast because you'll burn it while walking around at Grand Canyon West and sightseeing. Pack plenty of water. You'll spend about 3-4 hours there. Remember by purchasing Skywalk tickets, food, souvenirs it helps the Hualapai Tribe. Be thankful that they are sharing their cultural sites to the public. Okay, at this point I'm typing too much. Anyways, it is a place to visit!

Yelp
Don't do it! Waste of time and money!! You can't even take your own photos, they make you check in your phones and then charge you $50 for 6 pictures. Terrible experience, not worth it at all.

Yelp
It's whatever. I'd like to knock on it and I'd like to not either. Just because we're big time outdoors enthusiasts. I know, I get it,,, it's convenient. You pay a certain price and get shuttled around to the best views. I for one likes to work for it because it pretty much eliminates all the people who's wearing loafers walking around doing it for the gram saying #OutdoorsLife . But who am I to judge right? Plus not everyone is capable of doing what other people can do. So yea, this is definitely for you. This is definitely a great way to see the grand canyon if you're all about the #TouristTrapLife . It's quick, it's easy and informational at the same time. You want me to be honest one what I think about this spot? It's an absolute "Rip Off." I mean what else are you gonna do right? You already drove all the way down here. Might as well. *wink *wink Thank you so much for reading my review. I hope this helps with your decision making experience. Enjoy your awesome yelptastic day!!!

Yelp
The only good thing about Grand Canyon Skywalk is they're not too far from Las Vegas. The first time when I am here is when they're first open at almost 20 years ago when the road to the Grand Canyon Skywalk was a dirt Road without pavement. The roads are much better than before now. The cars have to park in the parking lot and all visitors have to ride the shuttle buses to the Skywalk after purchased the tickets. They're similar to the airport shuttle. When we arrive at the Skywalk. They have a line in front of the building without a time estimate. We're lined up and take about 20 minutes to get inside the building and then we found out there is another much longer line inside the building with no social distance at all! This line is moving very slowly and takes about another 1 hour to the lockers and all visitors have to lock up their belongings including your camera and phone. We are finally getting ready for the Skywalk after covering our shoes. The reason the line is moving so slow is that the employees at the Skywalk wanted to take pictures and selling them to us. I think this is the main reason they're not allowed your camera and phone. After all. This is not a very good experience! . I think the trip will be more enjoyable if you are skipped the Skywalk and visit Grand Canyon West for less money!

Yelp
So amazingly awful. Just could not process people in a timely manner. Never even got on Skywalk.

Yelp
Adventures in Nature: Coming from Las Vegas, the Rim is about 2 to 2 1/2 hours. The first hour is spent on highway while a good portion is spent on a two highway that curves into mountain and valley to get to the entry point. The drive is majestic to those of us who don't see mountains on a normal basis. There are stop points along the way (scenic stops) to take in the postcard views. Once you make it to the entry, you will need to park your vehicle. No personal vehicles are allowed at this point. Some viewers will note that this is where things become a tourist trap. Unless they build wider roads, with guard rails and parking stops, I'd hate to see thousands of vehicles try and make it through to the actual stops. Instead, there are buses to take you to 2-3 stops in the West Rim. I have visited when there was a crowd and lines were short - and when it was around holiday with long lines. The tourist part is the cost of entry. This will vary based on when you go. We bought tickets via Groupon. (The discount was very good). (Pro Tip: Print your pre-paid tickets because there is little to no internet access on site.) Given the number of visitors, I would agree that there should be an entry fee, however, the cost is Vegas high and why this doesn't get 5 stars. Families should research their ticket options and look for discounts before attending. Once you arrive, you will move though a gift shop and out to the bus waiting area. (If you did not prepay your tickets, make your way to the ticket line to do so.). The bus will take you to the first stop - The Skywalk. From there, head to the entry to get in line. You cannot take personal belonging onto the skywalk. A free locker is provided to store your items. Folks will point out that this is a tourist trap in which if you want photos, then your need to engage one of the photographers and purchase a package. With hundreds of people moving through the walk each day, I do know that it would take more time to move through everyone's Instagram shot if personal cameras were allowed. What should happen is that a single photo should be lowered in cost to appeal to all. During our visit, $65 packages were lowered in cost for digital access. After the skywalk, we took photos around the area. If took about 39 mins to board the next bus - to Guano point. Yes, folks, that's the name of the place, but don't worry - we didn't see any bats or their excrement. What you do see are 270 degree views of the canyon. Trails and paths lead you to different views outward and views downward. You cannot climb downward, but there are opportunities to climb (using your hands and feet) upon higher rock. There are no rail guards or smooth pathways. Seating is available sporadically before entering the point. If you look up how the canyon was formed, you will marvel in seeing this upfront. I have not experienced the last stop as I was too exhausted to jump off during one trip, and the recent visit was late in the afternoon so there wasn't any time to really seek it out. I would recommend a trip out to see this - if not at least once in a lifetime. America is such a beaut and she shines at the Canyon.

Yelp
Over priced to view a location that should be free to view the cost doesn't even include the skywalk that's advertised.

Yelp
The Skywalk is an experience to do once if you're out in the Grand Canyon West rim area. You're not allowed to bring cell phones, cameras, bags, etc on the Skywalk so you're securing all personal items in the free lockers provided. You're only options for photos is to purchase them from their photographers on the Skywalk. "David" was our photographer and he was great. He took some quality pictures and it was easy to download from their website via the code they give you. We bought the unlimited photo package as it made more sense vs $16 a photo. All the staff we came across in the Skywalk sections were very friendly. The whole experience is pretty well organized. The views are amazing and the transparent floors really kicked in some anxiety. lol This is one of those experiences you get through at least once. We'll pay the premium because the memories and pics are forever. Good Luck!

Yelp
Part of Grand Canyon West on the Hualapai reservation. It's a large glass balcony overlooking the Grand Canyon. Overpriced. Prices on their website are not accurate. The real prices are higher. They also don't let you take phones/other items onto the Skywalk; you have to put your stuff in the locker.

Yelp
Five stars because of the amazing views. The skywalk is located on an Indian Reservation and there are a total of 3-4 sites to visit. All the sites are accessible by a shuttle they provide. We came during a slow time and there was no issue getting on and off the shuttle. We never waited to get on one. I took a helicopter ride out to the skywalk which was amazing. But now comes the downside of the trip. Minus one star because going onto the skywalk is a bit pricey. Minus another star because you can't take any cameras or phones onto the skywalk. So you're pretty much pigeonholed into (1) buying a ticket ($25 a person) to go onto the skywalk and then (2) buying the package for the photographer to take pics of you on the skywalk ($65). Another downside is there are two separate lines going onto the skywalk. One line if you just want to walk onto the skywalk. A second line if you bought the photo package. The photo package line is a longer wait because there are only 4-5 many photographers taking pictures of people. I never made it to guano point (one of the sites on the grounds) because I was out of time and had to catch the helicopter back. The good thing is that you can definitely make the West Rim an entire day trip, but there's really not enough time to see it all of you rode a helicopter out there. I would recommend that they partner with the helicopter tour companies and allow us to skip some of the lines to be able to see more of the area. With the amount of money spent on the ride and at the park, we should be able to see more of the grounds without feeling rushed. I mean dang, three stars for such an amazing skywalk. This place is truly one of a kind. 4,000 ft high, higher than the tallest skyscrapers, four times higher than the Eiffel Tower and almost 3x higher than One World Trade Center. Yet so many people don't care for it. Ughhhhh, I'm getting more and more disappointed the more I write. . . . Either way, this turned into a one time thing. Kinda check-off-the-bucket-list-type-of-thing. Once is enough, I don't plan on returning. After reading other reviews, I think most would say the same. They should really build something that would encourage people to want to return rather than a one and done type place.

Yelp
If the skywalk is good enough for Kaskade to perform on, it's good enough for me! At least that's what I was thinking before arrival, but I was kind of disappointed with the overall experience. Total cost for admission and skywalk was around $68 for adults, $55 for seniors, very pricey. 1) They don't let you carry your own phones and cameras on the skywalk. Reasoning: to avoid you dropping things on the glass or over the edge. But, I think it's just so they can charge you $16 per photo for the experience. But they have free lockers available for you to store your personal belongings. 2) Meal tickets can be added on for an additional $22, but for hamburgers and chicken sandwiches, nothing too crazy and appetizing. They did have a snack bar that served hotdogs and bagels which was much cheaper. We munched on that instead. 3) There's definitely no phone signal but you can connect to their wifi at each stop. 4) Bring your own reusable water bottles to refill because there are refilling stations. 5) Remember to bring comfortable shoes so you can climb the rocks and take a stroll around the canyon. The views are beautiful especially during sunset, the reds in the canyon really popped. 6) Complimentary shuttle service provided from Main Terminal, to Eagle Point and then Guano Point. Views are amazing, 5/5, but skywalk I felt was skippable. It was nice but the photographer made the experience kind of lame and annoying because he was rushing you off the bridge just so they could get more people on there. Fortunately after photos were done being taken, there were less people so I kind of snuck back onto the bridge to take in a little more views. So max I spent on the bridge was 5-10 minutes, and most of it was spent avoiding photographers and avoiding being in other people's photos.

Yelp
Planning on going next week but we just found out someone jumped off the Skywalk last Monday. They closed of course but refused to refund money for that and the Pontoon boat ride and the Helicopter ride. Never going to a place that does this. It's wrong. And where's the news on the jumper. Bad business.

Yelp
Run. Like the wind. Worst possible tourist trap. Crowds, lines... for a horrible 15 minute view..you can't take your own pictures, you will be given a photographer and an opportunity to purchase the pictures unseen. Then, they cart you to not back to your car (and tray me you will be desperate...) but to a gift/food area. DO NOT GO. The staff was untrained and rude. If your vacation goal is to be pissed off, this is your stop!

Yelp
Fellow Travelers planning a trip to the Grand Canyon West Rim, Once the general admission and skywalk tickets are purchased you must use a public shuttle to the destination. There is no area close enough to the canyon unless you purchase tickets. You will be directed to park your vehicle within the designated parking area and at the location you can choose to: (1) Pay General Admission $55 per person and board the shuttle; (2) Pay General Admission $55 per person plus $22 for Skywalk admission and board the shuttle; (3) Helicopter tours are offered starting at $230 per person; or (3) Stay in the parking lot and put your really good camera with best zoom lens to use and capture pictures of the tops of the Grand Canyon from a distance. There is no fee to park. There is a lunch option for an additional $19 per person (burger, chicken sandwich, chicken tenders or vegetarian burger, fries and drink. The scenic views are beautiful if traveling from Las Vegas. There are cute towns along the way and the residents are so kind. * Personal vehicles are not permitted beyond the designated parking lot *

Yelp
Have you ever seen something so grand?! Have you seen something so breathtaking? Have you seen something so beautiful? The last time I visited The Grand Canyon was when I was 5 years old...fast forward 25+ years later, everything is still so massive as I remembered it when I was a little girl! So this is how the Grand Canyon Sky Walk tours works: you enter the information center and purchase tickets for the tours. You then board shuttle busses (no person/individual vehicles are allowed to drive around), which take you to three different stops. The first stop consists of: "Eagle's Wing," a restaurant, and the main attraction- The Sky Walk over looking The Grand Canyon! Imagine being 4000 feet above the Colorado River? Well that's how high you are standing above/on a glass bridge! You must make it a point to do this tour because it gives you a different perspective of the Grand Canyon! If you're planing a visit to The Grand Canyon (West Entrance), I would say it's about an hour and a half from Las Vegas. Once you're in the park, allocate 2 hours to tour all three stops.

Yelp
Horrible experience - the wait to the skywalk was 3 hrs long for a 10 min view and $100 later... WASTE of money and time!!! Don't do it

Yelp
***Update*** glad to see they updated their FAQ section on their website (probably because of my review and others complaining). It still does not mention no entrance after 4:30pm which I was told several times on the phone. 5 stars for natural beauty alone. There is no way anyone can deny the landscape here is beyond stunning. The reason I am knocking of two stars is for several reasons. I pre-purchased tickets before we got to AZ. Nowhere on their website or on my tickets did it say anything about a last entrance time of 4:30pm. We checked the times on their website before leaving Las Vegas and it showed 7am-7pm. We were about 30 minutes away when we got to a sign on the road that showed last entrance 4:30pm. From that point our navigation had us arriving at 4:45pm. I called them immediately and asked about the sign. They told me if I wasn't there by 4:30 I was out of luck. They would not hold the shuttle bus for us and I would lose what I paid for the tickets. By some miracle we made it to the entrance at 4:31pm. I ran inside like a crazy person while my husband parked. They were about to tell me I couldn't buy tickets until I said I already had them. Their ticket sales desk needs some serious training here, they are flat out rude. Their free Wi-Fi was another issue here because I was now unable to pull up my tickets on my phone and there was no cell service at all. Make sure to print your tickets or at least print-screen them. Luckily the employees at the shuttle bus were very helpful and did hold the bus for us. The took me back inside to the sales desk and printed the tickets for me. When we got to the skywalk we noticed quite a few people were sold tickets without the skywalk option (back to that sales desk training issue again). I didn't have a problem with this since I purchased online and read all the options. The skywalk itself is not anywhere near as big as it looks online. You will need to lock all your belongings in a free locker and put on shoe covers to protect the glass. You cannot take your cameras or phones on the skywalk so you are at the mercy of their camera man for pictures. I will say they did a great job and we purchased the package where they give you all the photos for $65 rather than one photo. Although we had a somewhat limited time here (make sure to note the time change if you're coming from Nevada) we had enough time to see two of the three stops. The second stop was stunning as well. The confusion with entrance times and unhelpful employees really left a bad taste in my mouth. I was definitely expecting more of a touristy experience here than the south rim but not quite what I experienced. If you're driving to the area watch your speed as you're driving on an Indian reservation and they have their own police monitoring speed.
