Grand Cayman Marriott Resort

Stay at Palm Heights, not here! We booked what was supposed to be a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Grand Cayman Marriott Resort, and as very active people, my husband and I were especially excited about the many amenities included in the daily resort/amenity fee. Unfortunately, our experience was so disappointing that we ended up leaving early. First, the on-site gym was extremely underwhelming. It was very small — it honestly felt like a shoebox — and not at all what we expected from a resort of this caliber. Second, while we understand the hotel cannot control the weather, during our entire five-day stay none of the scheduled amenities or daily activities were available due to weather cancellations. Everything was simply canceled — no alternatives, no backup options, no suggestions for guests. Despite this, we were still charged the full daily amenity fee each day, which felt unreasonable given that nothing was actually accessible. We also asked staff where they recommended biking, since bicycles are one of the offered amenities. The response was disappointing: we were told there isn’t really anywhere special to bike and that there are no bike paths. That made the amenity feel more like a marketing bullet point than a meaningful offering. Finally, on the one day we did get partial sun and hoped to relax outdoors, the gardeners operated very loud leaf blowers for nearly two hours, making it impossible to enjoy the pool or tropical atmosphere. Overall, this trip fell far short of expectations.

Exceptional service at this hotel, comfortable spacious rooms and beds, good food and drinks. Everyone went out of their way from the housekeeping staff to the front desk to ensure we were enjoying our stay. The down side is the known issue of a lack of beach. The pool and deck are nice but small, and at times no chairs available. We used the hotel provided shuttle to the beach multiple times during our stay. We would choose a different hotel next time in the Caymans solely due to the lack of beach. Special shout out to Dre, Gregon, Nancy and Belle. They made the stay enjoyable.

My family and I stayed here during our first-ever trip to Grand Cayman. While the first floor area is beautiful, updated and first class, some of the common areas could use a bit of an updating. Our room was spacious, clean and had a balcony with a couple of chairs. It, too, could have used a bit of an update, especially the bathroom, which seemed so ordinary, when compared with the main area and when you consider how much you are paying to stay here. ||The fisrt floor is always in motion, which puts you in a good mood. There is a beautiful courtyard in back which has a nice water feature and a number of sitting areas. Walking through here leads to the waterfront, where there is a nice pool and multiple stairway accesses to the Carribean Sea. There are aboundant chairs on both the pool deck and auxilliary deck in front of the restaurants located out back. Despite the aboundance of chairs and the helpfulness of the staff to find places for you, you need to get there early to reserve!||There are a couple of dining options and drinks aplenty that can be brought to you chair. Be on the lookout for either Adi or Sid. They were both great guys and will take care of you for sure!||The water just off the hotel is shallow enough that you can walk out for about 75 yards. The hotel moors some floating rafts that allow for watergoing sunbathing. Snorkel gear is also avaiable, which allows you to explore the man-made reef that attracts quite a few different fishes to thea rea.||The on-site dining is outstanding, both inside the hotel and on the deck out back. The lobby bar is fantastic and is helmed by some fun staff, one of whom is an excellent mixologist (peanut butter-washed rum, anyone?). There are numerous places to sit and, if you are like my family, play cards!

There is no beach here. The regular employees are fantastic. Housekeeping, pool, spa, towel folks, and restaurant employees are all great. The resort rarely grants room upgrades (if ever) even when there are plenty of empty rooms. Recently stayed 5 nights on points, upgraded points (Paid an extra 100,000 points) for a better room. Attempted again to use Marriott's "Suite Upgrade Awards" and could not. There were several empty oceanfront rooms, but none were available to me. Not sure we will ever return as there are options up the road on Seven Mile Beach that actually have beaches.

The resort was great! Super friendly staff! The activities for the kids were fun; Minu, Juanita and Dina were exceptional with my children! It was my son’s birthday and they went out of their way to make him feel special. We went to this resort and Indigo on the same trip and prefer the Marriott. Even though the elevator was wonky and lack of actual beach/ none of this affected our trip. The staff is what made the biggest difference. This Marriott has wonderful people! The food was excellent! Overall we really had the most memorable trip!

I absolutely loved my time at the resort. Right by the resort, was a lovely beach with one of the best snorkelling we've ever enjoyed. There was lots of space In our unit for two couples. Lots of privacy and very clean. The food on the resort was well priced and excellent. I liked it was bit away from town. Lots of excellent restaurants close to the resort. It was very clean and I found all the staff very friendly and accommodating. Only one small thing I would change, is the chairs on the patio are extremely uncomfortable. We enjoyed spending time out there regardless, and there were to few beach chairs. It was a wonderful weekend and I will certainly return.

I loved that the resort isn't huge. Very manageable. |Almost everything is located on the lobby level, except concierge desk, found on 3rd floor. It would be great if there was better signage saying it's on the 3rd fl.||Every employee that I encountered was wonderful. |Shout out to Illy, from Morocco, working at Veranda restaurant which is located outside. Excellent, professional service. ||The room is a good size and has a small balcony to enjoy. ||For those who don't rent a car, there are taxis in the parking lot. ||There are stairs that go right to the sea and a decent size pool.||If you don't feel like eating out, there are several restaurant options. ||I was very happy with my stay and would definitely return. ||My first time in Grand Cayman Jan 19th. It was raining when I arrived and it's been very windy and cloudy. I think February might be a better time. ||Also. It was crowded yet. I never needed reservations.

The employees at this resort were awesome. Everyone was friendly and genuinely interested in making your stay an enjoyable one. We booked a package that included breakfast every day, which was very good. We had lunch at the Anchor & Den and poolside, both very good as well. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The gym was adequate. Not a very big pool area. This was not a problem as we were there at the end of low season. It would be an issue when the hotel is fully booked. There is no beach, which we were fine with. The resort offers a free shuttle to either Seven Mile Beach or Governor's Beach which we did take advantage of. We did enjoy the floats in water. I did some snorkeling in the swim area of the hotel and saw some interesting fish. Enjoyed evening nightcaps chatting with the bartenders. Well maintained grounds. There were a couple hiccups and the staff went above and beyond to correct them. A nice place to stay.
