Grand Darul Makmur Hotel

It was a great experience stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The staff including at main entrance, front desk, housekeeping and cafe, they were very nice and friendly. The room looked old but very spacious, with bath tub and balcony. My kids were very happy play in the room. I can consider to stay here again. Hopefully the hotel could perform maintenance regularly for this specialities. Food also very nice. Even thought not many choices, they served special menu and so delicious as compared to other 4-5 stars hotel. I can’t forget the nasi minyak daging opor, soup with many ingredient, and the best was teh tarik. Sedap giler!! They even served rendang kambing like pagi raya which was superb taste!! Location strategic in town. Many interesting places nearby.

The room was nice and spacious, which made the stay very comfortable. The breakfast spread was okay, and the best item was definitely the seri muka — really delicious. The location is also very convenient, being close to malls and plenty of restaurants.However, the parking was a downside. It’s quite far from the hotel, there’s no roof, and the number of parking spots is very limited.Overall, it’s a good place to stay, but the parking situation could be improved.

We had a very enjoyable 5 night stay here before returning to Singapore and then our home in Australia. As Australians, we felt a little out of place but were treated well. We really enjoyed our breakfasts at the hotel and appreciated that it went until 10.30 am. The food variety was very good.We were surprised that Angelo's Restaurant (one of the hotel restaurants) didn't seem to be well patronised. However, when we had dinner there one evening, we were a little disappointed. The pool was also lovely surrounded by some tables and chairs under shade.The only issue was the internet, which kept dropping out on my Samsung tablet. It seemed to be more reliable on my phone. Despite being assisted by IT via reception, this didn't help much at all.We liked the staff, especially the restaurant manager at breakfast.

Overall nice hotel. Breakfast is good. I have to give extra credit to staff named Khairul for his excellent hospitality, professional & friendly. Room makeup team are also very friendly. Maybe wifi service could be improved as the signal is not strong from inside the room.

Staying 3d2n at GDM. In terms of room, the room was spacious, very comfortable but it will be more convenience if the hotel can accomodated guest with the mini freeze as big family will very thankful for having it at the room. I would like to deliver my utmost appreciation to housekeeping because their honesty by informing me that a phone was left at the room. Thank you🩷 And lastly, besides variety delicous food, our taste was captured by “agar-agar” coffee. Very very delicous. Congratulation for the chef😉 For sure, repeat a stay at GDM is a must. Its our 1st time staying at this hotel. We truly love the hotel's room and location. The room is spacious and clean. Services were good. We checked in late at 7pm and had dinner at Angelos. The food prices here are a bit high but very tasty and big portion. Perhaps the hotel can consider adding a few other menu with reasonable/ cheaper prices esp for light eaters. Overall we are very happy with everything, definitely coming again.

Room size is huge! Old hotel not to supposed expect much. Switches inside room use new technology. Bed linen, pillow cover, and towel bit smelly. Not fresh. Please improve the housekeeping quality!

Stay here with my wife one night for business travel. Stayed at the queen bed level 3. Spacious room. Nice view even at level 3. Breakfast sufficient choice and good taste. Staff are friendly. Nice big swimming pool with fun kids area. Internet work fine. Easy access to next door mall. Improvements required: 1. Closet no doors. Already removed due to wear and tear. 2. No covered parking. Hot daytime. If you drive expensive cars better use valet parking.
