GRAND HILAI SUN MOON LAKE

Beautiful, quiet, luxury hotel right at the shore of Sun Moon Lake. The Grand Hilai Sun Moon Lake is probably one of the nicest hotels I ever stayed at. We stayed here for 2 nights back in September at a Prime Deluxe King Room with Lake View. From the moment we arrived, at one of the nicest looking valet areas, everything was perfect. Everyone from the service team went above and beyond and every part of the lobby and check in area was simply gorgeous. On top of that, the hotel smells really great too. Our guest room was modern, spacious, beautifully designed, came with Devialet Bluetooth speaker, and had a great view of the lake. The bathroom with in-room onsen was fabulous and also had direct lake view. We didn’t have dinner at the hotel, but the breakfast was very good, combination of à la carte and buffet with a large selection of Asian and Western food. Highly recommend the Grand Hilai Sun Moon Lake to anyone visiting Sun Moon Lake. Would love to come back or try some of the other Grand Hilai hotels too.

This is the best of the best for Sun Moon Lake. We booked a four night stay with breakfast and dinner. Service across the board is second to none. It starts from the moment you step onto the property. Everything....and I do mean everything, was top notch. The hotel is tastefully designed. You get the first row view of the Sun Moon Lake. Balcony is a great place just to sit and let go. Breakfast features a menu that you could order from in addition to various buffet stations. There are western and eastern fusion cuisines to choose from for dinner. Dishes feature ingredients sourced from local farmers. It is within walking distance to the pier. We are looking forward for our encore trip back to this hotel in the near future.

Sun Moon Lake is the prettiest when you stay in Grand Hilai. This comes from someone who grew up in Taiwan and had made countless trips here. The unbeatable view this hotel offers from every corner together with its design, hardware, attentions to details, food, activities, oh service service service, it will make your Sun Moon Lake visit the most memorable ever! Kudos to Hilai management for insisting on the highest standards! Never thought it’s possible for TW brands to deliver world class staying experiences until now👍

The hotel is beautifully located with a clear and stunning lake view. The atmosphere is peaceful, everything is very clean, and the attention to detail is outstanding. What impressed me the most was the exceptional hospitality. The staff were genuinely kind, attentive, and thoughtful — noticing even the smallest things that I didn’t think of myself. It’s clear that the hotel never compromises on standards. Every staff member went above and beyond. You can feel that they put their heart into every part of the service, making me feel truly special and well taken care of. I was genuinely touched. If I have the chance, I would definitely come back again. 😊💛

The Sun Moon Suite's lake view was breathtaking. The hotel itself was fantastic, with incredibly friendly and attentive staff. The property was impeccably clean and thoughtfully designed, creating a unique cultural and artistic atmosphere. We enjoyed excellent breakfast and dinner options. The swimming pool offered stunning lake and mountain views. Our entire stay at this property was truly memorable.

My boyfriend took me to this hotel and proposed here. besides the personal experience the Hotel was beyond amazing. The architecture was impecable and modern. The personnel and stuff were incredible kind and professional extremely respectful and very knowledgeable. Food amazing rooms beautiful with a great view definitely one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. I want to highlight from the Spa Ms Jasmine she was absolutely stunning best massage ever !

This was one of the finest accommodation experiences I’ve had. Impeccable service, excellent dining, and a breathtaking room view, I would gladly give six stars if I could.
