Grand Hotel Alassio

We loved the view from our room. We loved our terrace. The breakfast buffet was the very best we have encountered on this trip (and we have stayed at high-end hotels). There was a huge selection of delicious foods, beautifully displayed, with attentive service for coffee orders. We enjoyed the “Medical Spa,” The fitness room was well-equipped. Our room was small, but the layout makes good use of the space (with built-in shelves and drawers). There was no electrical outlet near the bed, so we had to live with a long extension cord (cheerfully provided and taped in place by the bellman) in order to have power for a CPAP machine. Go for a terrace room if you can! Our terrace was our outdoor living room.

This hotel was highly recommended by a friend who is in hotel business. We were not disappointed. Everything was great. First, the people - Alex, I believe is the head concierge was amazing. When we first arrived, we couldn’t figure out where to go and park. I went inside and Alex was the first person to greet me. He was able to give clear instructions to my husband where to go. While I waited Alex made me feel welcomed. Told me to relax and enjoy the start of the vacation. He was always there ready to help. Friendly. Attentive. Always had a smile on his face. He gave us recommendations for restaurants and those didn’t disappoint either. The rest of the staff we encounter were also great. We had an issue with a creaking door - taken care of by the time we returned. We reported an issue in the hotel pool - already fixed by the next time I visited. The beach - I loved the fact that we had the same beach chairs reserved for us during our stay. This made it very convenient when my husband and I were going at different times to meet up. No scouring the seats trying to find each other. The location is great. It’s a short walk from everything. Pretty much the center of everywhere we wanted to go. We had a lovely view of the beach from our room. Overall, it was a fabulous experience. This was a fabulous stay to celebrate our 10-year anniversary. Definitely recommend.

Monica waitress is a truly beautiful person — inside and out. She took amazing care of our tennis group every morning at breakfast, always making everything so easy and serving our coffee with genuine warmth and heart. She also looked after us at lunch, always with the same kindness and attention. Monica really deserves recognition — she makes this hotel shine through the way she treats every guest. We’ll remember her forever for her special care and positive energy. The hotel is so lucky and should be incredibly proud to have her — she’s a true asset! 🌟

We stayed at he Grand Hotel Alassio for 5 nights and honestly loved every minute. From check-in to check-out, everyone made me feel welcome. The reception staff were always kind and patient whenever I had questions and I usually have a lot of questions :)||The beach service was fantastic — the team there seemed to notice everything and made sure we had what we needed.||A special shootout and thanks to the concierge team. Alex, the head concierge, was especially helpful. He gave me great suggestions and arranged things so smoothly that it really made logistics super easy, thanks to him.||Overall, it felt like much more than a 5-star stay. I left with great memories and would be happy to come back again.

We enjoy the hotel and the town of Alassio tremendously. The staff treats us like family and makes us feel so welcome. Lorenzo, Michaela, Alex and Monica (in the breakfast room) are so accommodating and thoughtful. Whoever picks the staff here, does a very good job. Year after year, we look forward to returning…. The trip to the Grand Hotel Alassio was magical. The staff was incredibly helpful, making recommendations, got dining reservations and solidified car services for us and even tickets to the Toirano Caves (also a must see!). The staff was warm, welcoming and genuinely caring. The facilities were impeccable from the rooms, to the restaurants, the spa, the kids club AND the beach area. The morning breakfasts by the sea were also luxurious. We rented one of the penthouse suites so we had plenty of room and outstanding views. So if you are family that also needs space in your hotel room while also visiting this amazing place, I recommend getting a larger room. This is definitely a place we are going back to!

My family had a wonderful stay at the Grand Hotel Alassio. The hotel was beautiful and perfectly located. We used the easy access to the beach every day. The food was incredible. We dined on the beach one evening. The staff was so courteous and friendly. And the concierge Alex was incredible with making recommendations for us and booking us into the restaurants. Our stay was so much fun that my family wants to return next year. We love the town of Alassio and especially the Grand Hotel!

Everyone is nice and professional! |We had an amazing room (junior suite) with a huge terrace (that I didn’t want to leave!) |The food is really good and for me (miss fussy pants) the chef accommodated me! |Great breakfast. Very accommodating also for our pooch. |Situated on the beach, down town, just perfect. |Didn’t try the spa (as I was glued to the terrace!) but will next time 😁
