Our room had minimal aircon after 3 nights they got vents cleaned, hot water for shower wasn’t hot, barely warm. Omelettes at breakfast were great and restaurant staff very nice. Casino disgusting up and downstairs with cigarette smoke. Pool had so much chlorine we couldn’t swim but nice to sit near. Didn’t hear the noise from the club. Panoramic room has nice view but wouldn’t stay again.

Didn't stay here but dined, drank and gambled. Friendly service from the moment through the door. Walked in with a mate for a drink ended booking dinner for 14. So good we dined again there 2 nights later. Great value menu of good standard. Fantastic cocktails, make sure to take advantage of happy hour!

Where to start... This Hotel is awesome just awesome. The reception staff - AWESOME, the Bar staff - AWESOME, the staff in the Restaurant - AWESOME, Housekeeping - AWESOME. We have just stayed at the Grand for two weeks and had the best service and food ever. The friendly staff are what make this hotel rock. As for the night club next door we did not hear a thing at night like most people seem to complain about. We stayed in room 405 and enjoyed the fantastic view. The pool was lovely and cool. We had our farewell dinner the night before we left and the beautiful waitress Junie who had just started handled our orders and did a fantastic job. Our room was cleaned to perfection each and every day with fresh towels. We got to know the ladies that cleaned our room and one of them even gifted us with fresh fruit which was a lovely surprise. We always got towels from reception for the pool. We cannot fault this hotel at all and would happily stay here again which we intend to do in two years' time. So once again thank you to all your wonderful staff and it was great to get to know you all. Again, this hotel is AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME. We cannot wait to return, and we miss Port Vila and all the beautiful people so much. The hotel is close to everything. And the friendly staff are there to help with anything you need.

Wife and I stayed here twice, each stay one night. The rooms were fresh, clean, very comfortable and the view was awesome out towards the Harbour. Reception staff were friendly, full of smiles and efficient at what they did. Ground floor bar staff and restaurant staff were jovial, friendly and genuinely interested in your travel movements around Vanuatu, very chatty. Food (Quality, portion and taste) and beverages were excellent. Would definitely stay here again. We obtained an awesome on-line rate which was far better than some of the other accommodation booking sites

Beautiful place right in port villa, love the piano music at dinner. very neat and clean, service desk very helpful. what a happy place Vanuatu is! newly renovated place. peaceful serenity. gorgeous veiws. No mould in the rooms👍😀 good air con. restaurant was delightful food was great at every meal. all was so pleasant and relaxed. no one is in a hurry💕lots of care smiles and laughter! flowers were beautiful in our room on our anniversary.

The Grand Hotel and Casino is AWESOME. We have just finished our stay here we stayed from 24th Sept-8th Oct. All staff are AWESOME. Housekeeping were AWESOME keeping our room in tip top shape daily. All staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was AWESOME. Cannot fault this Hotel at all. The staff in restaurant were AWESOME and their smiles always made our day. We never heard the nightclub next door as so many people do. We had room 405 and will return again. Highly recommend. Thanks to all who keep this Hotel great.

Good location beside Port Vila Harbour, in town close to restaurants and cafes, grocery and other stores, markets, currency exchange, tourism office and other services. Started my holiday here to experience the capital and organise my currency, mobile sim card and day trips/tours. Took daily walks to the nearby bay promenade with its markets, cafes and parks.|The hotel is the tallest building in Vila. From my higher floor deluxe room there were nice views of the harbour; sit on the balcony and watch the sunset. Good size room with large bed, small writing desk, good cupboard and drawer space, bedside tables with lamps, smooth tiled floor (take care, slippery when wet), small fridge, jug, coffee and selection of tea bags (black, green, earl grey, mint), separate tub and shower, basic toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash), free wi-fi (okay to poor connection), tv, iron, daily housekeeping.|The pool area was nice with lounges (only a few with umbrellas) and view of the bay (a shame about the wire fencing along the harbour edge). Pool size was just long enough to swim laps. Pool bar was closed while I was visiting but you can order at lobby bar and they bring drinks etc out to you (might be nice if someone came out to pool area occasionally to see if any guests would like any refreshments). Be careful in the pool bathroom as the floor is extremely slippery when wet (as it will be if you have just jumped out of the pool); I just saved myself in time from a nasty fall. Pool open sunrise to sunset so no early night swimming.|Very friendly and helpful reception, and all the staff. Make you feel welcome. Lobby and restaurant are good. Enjoyed one breakfast at the hotel. Several room service meals were okay but probably better to eat in the restaurant or in town. No functional tour desk.|A few negatives - noise from the nearby shipyard and LIT nightclub with its boom boom beat till 3 am (though the hotel has put in heavy glass balcony doors that help reduce most of the noise), congested hotel front (little parking or footpath area), balconies are close to one another and their position reduces some room privacy, wine glasses provided but no cork screw or bottle opener (bar offered to send someone to room to open my bottle but there were none available to borrow), water runs from shower into the room making the floor slippery.|Despite the few negs I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. It is in a good location, handy to attractions and services of Port Vila. Comfortable room, friendly staff.
