Lovely hotel with a fabulous rooftop bar. Great location just off grand place. Our bedroom was on the 4th floor, didn't get any street noise. Very disappointing that our toilet didn't flush, we did mention it twice to reception, but it wasn't resolved throughout out 2 night stay, having to go and use the public toilet on the 5th floor was not ideal. Spoilt what could have been a memorable stay in a lovely hotel.

A very disappointing hotel - mainly to do with the room!|The rooftop bar was lovely & the staff there were all friendly & helpful.|The only other really good thing is the water machines on every floor - they were really useful.|The breakfast was good, but not as good as expected for a 4 star hotel & so busy we were seated very close to other people.|The public areas on the ground floor were lovely, but along the corridor on our floor carpets were a trip hazard.|Our room was disappointing - it was large, but basic, nowhere near a 4 star hotel standard. There was only 1 comfortable chair & 1 plastic chair at a desk. There was a small hanging area & a shelving unit on the back. The hairdryer was a travel one with not very much power!|There were hardly any channels & none in English which was fine as we didn’t really want to watch anything, but again for a 4 star hotel……….|The toilet had a very bright light, so in the middle of the night was very annoying - lots of places have sensors for low lights nowadays in toilets. The shower had a bad smell the whole time & no handle to help get in & out when the floor was wet & slippery!

I suspect you need to pay for a more expensive room to get 4 star treatment. We had a less expensive room which was small and dark with view over the fire escape. Not somewhere you would want to spend any time in. Someone previously mentioned the carpets in the corridors. They’re still a bit of a trip hazard. Someone also needed to tell the person photographing the socket/adaptor that you just need to give the adaptor a hard push in. Breakfast was adequate though I’ve never had to fill up my own tea bag before.

Although there are areas for improvement regarding general cleanliness and maintainance in the bedrooms.....stained carpets, hairs in shower & on toilet system plus loose handles on the shower door (I fixed them myself) & lots of noise during the day due to nearby building works (not the Hotel's fault) this did not affect us having a wonderful stay.||All the staff were very friendly, dressed smartly & were always polite....the young man on reception who checked us in & out was very helpful indeed.||Great location.|Plentiful breakfast options.|Good size rooms, loving the high ceilings & large windows, walk in rain showers & large beautiful sinks plus the large TV, we were unable to find any English channels that worked though but we made do with the music channel that played many English songs.||The stand out element for us was the rooftop bar, what a lovely place to spend our evenings in, we even had live DJ's on our last night....plus a special mention to Maeve(?).....as it was my birthday during our stay, she made sure me & my wife had a great evening, it was because of her general all round superb service that we visited the rooftop bar every night of our stay.|I was going to knock a star off for the minor issues that I first mentioned but for overall service & location I believe this Hotel deserves top marks, I have no problems recommending this place & when we return to Lille we will definitely stay here again. Many thanks from Graham & Natalie.||

This is not a 4 star hotel by any means. The service is horrendous and the rooms are|extremely dated. There doesn’t seem to be a service elevator so you’re there for ages waiting for the single elevator as staff move inventory around. Plz don’t take room 312 if you have to stay in this hotel. Ugly yellow stain by the bathroom. None of the sockets work for a travel adapter. I asked the concierge (the one on duty on the morning of 31st Aug) about this and he said unfortunately he can’t do anything. The man didn’t even ask to send someone in the room to check the sockets. Extremely unwelcoming, unfriendly and unhelpful manner. Same for the lady who checked me in (short heighted, with glasses). I asked about robes and slippers and she said you get them depending on the type of room you booked. It’s the first time I’ve ever heard that from a 4* star hotel. When I questioned more, she realised she will get into trouble and had them sent to the room. The night staff is much more decent and polite. I asked re late check out the night staff confirmed that I can extend my check out to 7pm the next day at a charge of 50 euros. When I discussed it with the same unhelpful gentleman the next day, he said late check out is only till 5pm. Very confusing as the information given to guests isn’t joined up between the different staff members. Upon check out, the same gentleman asked how my stay was, I started to speak but it was clear he wasn’t interested in anything so I just left it at “it wasn’t great to be honest”. He didn’t care to know more and I didn’t want to waste my breath on someone who clearly doesn’t have an idea about how one should work in the hospitality sector. Came here for a special trip and I feel like it was a huge mistake to stay here.

we came to Lille for the Bruce Springsteen concert, not expecting too much from Lille and the hotel. we were mistaken. Lille is a beautiful city, definitely worth a visit, and the hotel exceeded expectations. a wonderful little hotel, in the best possible location. the staff were more than friendly, they made it easy for us to go to the concert on their own initiative. the rooms are comfortable and very clean, the breakfast is very good. we didn't get to use everything the hotel has to offer, e.g. the spa. best recommendations!!!

I loved this hotel. It is tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The staff were all very helpful and professional. The breakfast was delicious. The unexpected icing on the cake was the rooftop bar and the Grand Bellevue Spritz. The close proximity to the metro was great for our needs. It took ten minutes to walk here from Lille Europe train station. Lille is very pretty lots of nice places to eat and drink and shop. Loads of shoe shops! . If you need somewhere to stay in Lille I recommend you give this hotel a try.

Google
Cute hotel, room was good. Not too much choice at breakfast and no restaurant for dinner, but there are enough restaurants around the hotel, so it wasn't a big deal. The rooftop is cute too.

Yelp
This wasn't the fanciest hotel, but it was kind of cute and the people were really nice. The location is also pretty great. It's right on the Square, close to restaurants and shopping. I liked the old-fashioned feel of the hotel. It made me think of the movie Grand Budapest Hotel. The bathrooms were nice, but the bathroom door was not. It's stuck and made noise and didn't feel super private. Good blackout shades and comfortable bed. We weren't feeling 100% the day we stayed here, so we stayed in at night and streamed the sopranos, but it sounded like more fun outside. It was clean, comfortable, not terribly expensive and located in a great neighborhood.

Yelp
Overall, I was very pleased with my stay here. I traveled to Lille for work, and stayed for 6 nights in the Best Western Bellevue. The location is phenomenal - right in the heart of Vieux Lille, steps from the Rihour Metro station, and from tons of shops and restaurants. The rooms were spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Unlike previous reviewers, my bathroom had certainly been updated. It was also spacious with a full bath and hand-shower, a rarity by European standards. There was a flat-screen TV in my room, with 2 English channels, including BBC News. The room itself is decorated in a Henry XVI style (obviously not real antique furniture), fitting with the classic style of the hotel. The only disappointments were: 1) Very thin walls - when neighbours watched TV or spoke on phone, I could hear everything. 2) The wireless internet was VERY slow and spotty, dropping out randomly, making Skype calls difficult. Internet access was free, so I suppose I shouldn't complain! If these two issues weren't present, I would certainly have given this hotel 5 stars.

Yelp
Really nice hotel with a great location. The bathroom was huge. The bed was nice. The staff were really friendly. As a note, the entrance is in the back of the building opposite of the center public square. That was unexpected.
