We spent a couple of nights at the Grand Hotel Bellevue for a mother–daughter trip and absolutely loved our stay. The hotel is elegant, luxurious, and wonderfully comfortable, the perfect mix of style and relaxation. Despite being right in the very centre of Lille, it was impressively quiet and peaceful, which made it easy to unwind after exploring the city. The location couldn’t be better, you step straight out into the heart of Lille, surrounded by shops, cafés, and the beautiful architecture of the Grand Place. The rooftop bar offers a lovely view over the city, making it a perfect spot to relax with a drink at the end of the day. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, always ready with a smile or a helpful suggestion. Everything about the stay felt easy and thoughtful. We would highly recommend the Grand Hotel Bellevue to anyone visiting Lille, it made our mother–daughter getaway truly special.

Hotel is in a great location, perfect for exploring the Old Town. Lovely building & decorated really nicely. Room was big, clean & the bed was comfortable which is always important. Reception staff ok but a bit disinterested. Didn’t offer any help carrying bags up & down the high front steps. Breakfast was very disappointing. We ate at 9 on 3 mornings & some items had already run out & even though we asked, we’re not refilled (breads, fruit, pancakes, etc) Staff in restaurant were nice, but a bit disinterested as well.

Lovely hotel with a fabulous rooftop bar. Great location just off grand place. Our bedroom was on the 4th floor, didn't get any street noise. Very disappointing that our toilet didn't flush, we did mention it twice to reception, but it wasn't resolved throughout out 2 night stay, having to go and use the public toilet on the 5th floor was not ideal. Spoilt what could have been a memorable stay in a lovely hotel.

Window catch broken so either unable to open window for fresh air or both windows open inwards and it’s freezing cold. Mentioned morning of day 2, not fixed when we left morning of day 5. Adjusting the air con did not seem to have any effect on the room temperature. The entire hotel seemed chilly at all times and could not feel any warmth anywhere. Do not book a room anywhere near 411 as the stair case to the roof top bar is extremely noisy until at least midnight. The room details included an iron and ironing facilities but these were not in our room. On Sunday morning at breakfast more than half an hour before end there was no more boiled eggs, smoked salmon or tomatoes. Very poor as every other morning plenty to end of service. At 2.30 after returning to the hotel we asked reception to ask housekeeping to do our room.||Good features of the trip:|Separate toilet|Water dispenser |Comfortable bed|Soft towels |Friendly staff|Good tv|Good WiFi|Good quality food at breakfast

Really well located hotel, with lovely art deco features and well chosen furniture. Good, powerful shower and in general very comfortable. The coffee machine in the room was temperamental, although was better behaved after mentioning to the welcome desk. The breakfast was good, although there were few choices for those with food restrictions. There was no decaffeinated coffee available at breakfast so we were advised to get coffee from our bedroom which was a little frustrating. A long walk for a coffee cup with breakfast!

A very disappointing hotel - mainly to do with the room!|The rooftop bar was lovely & the staff there were all friendly & helpful.|The only other really good thing is the water machines on every floor - they were really useful.|The breakfast was good, but not as good as expected for a 4 star hotel & so busy we were seated very close to other people.|The public areas on the ground floor were lovely, but along the corridor on our floor carpets were a trip hazard.|Our room was disappointing - it was large, but basic, nowhere near a 4 star hotel standard. There was only 1 comfortable chair & 1 plastic chair at a desk. There was a small hanging area & a shelving unit on the back. The hairdryer was a travel one with not very much power!|There were hardly any channels & none in English which was fine as we didn’t really want to watch anything, but again for a 4 star hotel……….|The toilet had a very bright light, so in the middle of the night was very annoying - lots of places have sensors for low lights nowadays in toilets. The shower had a bad smell the whole time & no handle to help get in & out when the floor was wet & slippery!

A lovely boutique hotel right in the heart of Grand Palace. Near to everywhere - shops, food, metro, Lille Europe and Flanders station. Love the decor! So chic!

Yelp
This wasn't the fanciest hotel, but it was kind of cute and the people were really nice. The location is also pretty great. It's right on the Square, close to restaurants and shopping. I liked the old-fashioned feel of the hotel. It made me think of the movie Grand Budapest Hotel. The bathrooms were nice, but the bathroom door was not. It's stuck and made noise and didn't feel super private. Good blackout shades and comfortable bed. We weren't feeling 100% the day we stayed here, so we stayed in at night and streamed the sopranos, but it sounded like more fun outside. It was clean, comfortable, not terribly expensive and located in a great neighborhood.

Yelp
Overall, I was very pleased with my stay here. I traveled to Lille for work, and stayed for 6 nights in the Best Western Bellevue. The location is phenomenal - right in the heart of Vieux Lille, steps from the Rihour Metro station, and from tons of shops and restaurants. The rooms were spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Unlike previous reviewers, my bathroom had certainly been updated. It was also spacious with a full bath and hand-shower, a rarity by European standards. There was a flat-screen TV in my room, with 2 English channels, including BBC News. The room itself is decorated in a Henry XVI style (obviously not real antique furniture), fitting with the classic style of the hotel. The only disappointments were: 1) Very thin walls - when neighbours watched TV or spoke on phone, I could hear everything. 2) The wireless internet was VERY slow and spotty, dropping out randomly, making Skype calls difficult. Internet access was free, so I suppose I shouldn't complain! If these two issues weren't present, I would certainly have given this hotel 5 stars.

Yelp
Really nice hotel with a great location. The bathroom was huge. The bed was nice. The staff were really friendly. As a note, the entrance is in the back of the building opposite of the center public square. That was unexpected.
