Grand Hotel Bucharest

A panoramic stay above the city skyline, with central access just steps from the metro and the National Theatre. Gran Hotel Bucuresti offers a classic atmosphere and a strong location for exploring Bucharest on foot. Check-in was efficient and professional. The room on the 21st floor was spacious, very clean and quiet, with a genuinely comfortable bed and excellent pillows. The marble bathroom felt traditional but well maintained. Breakfast was abundant and varied, with good croissants, fresh options, soy milk available and a live cooking station for omelettes and fried eggs. The sweet selection beyond pastries was limited, but overall quality was good. The hotel features two restaurants, including a panoramic one on the 22nd floor open for dinner, both serving very good Italian cuisine. There is also a lounge bar with TV offering pizza and sandwiches, although service there was quite slow due to limited staff. The spa includes a pool, jacuzzi, sauna and gym, but feels somewhat dated; the jacuzzi was not fully functional during the stay. Overall, a very good central hotel with strong comfort standards and great views.

I attended a conference here a few years ago and had the most wonderful conference experience. The hotel is old, but plush, which was unique since the conference was on very modern technology concepts, in a hotel that was old and plush. I am sad that the conference promoters were not able to continue into the Covid era, as I really wanted to come back here more often to enjoy that part of the hotel layout. The other amazing part about this hotel is the proximity to the outdoor public art display right next-door. And of course, elevator connection to the Piata Universitati Metro station, which will connect you to all of Bucharest – north, east, west, south.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Bucharest. Great location for walking to nearby shops, restaurants, and transportation. Hotel was huge and can be seen from far away, which always made it easy to find our way back. Very nice restaurant with excellent food, lovely decor, and amazing staff! Breakfast was very good and had plenty of options. Room was spacious, clean, and bathroom was very nice. Price was very reasonable. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you want a high-end atmosphere that is reasonably priced and in a great location !

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in February 2026. The experience was good, not as great as I expected. The room, besides having a great view, was not the best . The door's knob looked like the door was broken in before and the wood was left damaged. The floor lamp did not work. Beds were made very basic, I would expect a better look for the beds, considering it is or at least used to be a great hotel back in the days when was called " Intercontinental". I brought to the attention of reception desk about the door that looked like it was broken in and they said " It tries to keep the old look from before" Really?? before the look was like a broken door look? The food was great, the restaurant staff was also great. Location was the best of all.

I am writing regarding my stay at your hotel on [insert stay date]. When I made my reservation, I clearly indicated that I would require a late check-out. However, upon my departure, I was surprised to find an extra charge of €50 for extending my stay by only 6 hours, despite having informed you in advance about the late check-out. I believe this charge is unjustified and request that you reconsider this fee and clarify why it was applied despite prior notification. I kindly ask for a prompt response and a proper resolution to this matter.

We only stopped by along the way to our next destination to have breakfast there though we weren't staying there. Hotel looked nice. Buffer breakfast was good. Great amount of variety. Most of the serving staff were very polite and helpful. The main member of staff who checked us in for breakfast was not friendly. Felt a tingle of racism but by end of our breakfast she warmed up to us and was smiling and wished us a good day.

The experience was wonderful, with friendly and professional service and an elegant atmosphere that made everything feel enjoyable. Rooms felt clean, spacious, and comfortable, while the overall setting offered a great view and a relaxing environment. Dining was a lovely experience, with beautifully presented food, attentive waiters, and a varied breakfast that added real value to the stay.

We had a lovely evening meal in the restaurant Corso, the food was absolutely delicious and well presented. We had the truffle, mushroom pasta for our main and enjoyed it so much. Razuan and Victoria were wonderful hosts, very friendly with just the right level of attentiveness. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience and would highly recommend dining here.
