Grand Hotel Bucharest

This was a social trip to Bucharest with a friend, but as a Travel Advisor I’m always vetting places I visit for my clients. We dined at the Sky Lounge and cocktail bar at the Grand Hotel Bucharest one evening. We started with cocktails and a big thank you to Alex on the bar! The food was excellent and the service impeccable. Alex, front of house, was attentive and the perfect host! The views from the restaurant are exceptional, spanning the whole of Bucharest. I highly recommend!

Really nice hotel for short break away. The rooms were nice and clean. The reception staff were always friendly and helpful towards any queries we had. The location is good for getting to places especially if using coaches as they pick up from outside the hotel so very handy. The inside pool was really nice and relaxing. Couldn't really fault this hotel. Breakfast there was various options from hot, cereals and continental. Also, Skybar food and drink reasonably priced and tasty food :)

I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and equipped with all the essential amenities. The staff was professional, courteous, and always willing to assist with any request. The location was convenient, making it easy to access key areas in the city. Overall, it was a comfortable and hassle-free experience. I would recommend this hotel to both business and leisure travelers.

Definitely not a 5 star experience.|The staff on reception is good and polite.|Our room was smelling like cigarettes, one of our towels was stained and dirty. Breakfast on Saturday was mayhem, had to line up and wait more than half an hour to get table for breakfast. Spa is pool and Jacuzzi both with cool water not warm, massage is available in room only. On Saturday night to Sunday morning there was this crazy loud music ongoing until 3am you couldn’t ignore with closed windows. The best about this hotel is its location, super central, close to old town and metro.

Had a wonderful one night stay for my birthday. Was kindly upgraded to a high floor with stunning balcony views, and left a cake and bottle of fizzy.Room was large, comfortable bed and extremely quiet. Bathroom was large with powerful shower. Hotel staff were polite and efficient. Recommend to all, hope to return .

I’m really disappointed to be spending 7 nights in what I believed would be a 5‑star hotel. We accidentally booked the wrong “Grand Hotel” — it turns out there are two with very similar names — and the difference in quality is shocking.||• Extremely hard beds, making it difficult to sleep comfortably|• A strong sewage smell in our room, completely unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one claiming 5 stars|• Very poor breakfast variety, far below the expected standard|• The hotel is old, dirty, and clearly in need of major refurbishment|• Non‑functioning air conditioning, resulting in extremely poor air quality in the room|• We had to sleep with the door open just to breathe, which meant listening to all the traffic noise outside throughout the night||Overall: This hotel does not meet 5‑star standards in comfort, cleanliness, maintenance, or service. A very disappointing experience.

I stayed one night at Grand Hotel Bucharest, and it was a lovely experience. I really enjoyed the hotel’s traditional style and the amazing city view from the high floors. The location is perfect — right in the heart of Bucharest. A big thanks to Michelle at reception, who was super kind and explained the history of the hotel so nicely. She truly made my stay feel special.

Very nice hotel in the center of Bucharest. We had a great room on the 9th floor. Rooms were very nice. Bed was super. Room was spacious ( room 926 ). Only downside was there was a bath and no walk-in shower. .... but the shower in the bath was great.
