Grand Hotel - by Classic Norway Hotels

We had a nice stay at the Grand. It is located just up the hill from town. The staff at check in were nice and helpful. Our room was a nice size that faced the fjord. The bed was comfortable and bathroom a bit small but what do you need. We ate at the hotel restaurant one night and it was delicious. The breakfast buffet had a nice selection. They have a nice sitting room to relax in.|The parking just in front of the hotel only has 20 spots then you need to go to the overflow parking to the side.

The baked goods did not have any allergies marked, and it did look like normal baked goods. We ate it and it was good, but later they filled the same basket and i found bits of nuts. We asked about this and they said all the baked goods they get have hazelnutts. This is extremely dangerous and unprofessional, not to inform or let guest know. Straight to the hospital.. for many this can be life treathning. On top of this the staff seemed to not care and bad attitude. Less important but also noticable, it was a offer on the rooms 50% off when staying in sep-april. But we got told we booked the room too early to recive the offer. Which for me seems extremely cheap and cheesy. We got told we should have canceled the stay for free (its free and no charge) and book again to get the offer. Never been at a Hotel before that seems as unserious as this one. You can rent houses and apartments cheaper than this and spare yourself the trouble :)

The hotel enjoys a beautiful and convenient location on a small hill. It’s just 5 minutes walk from the railway station and gondola station. It’s also easy to do the hiking to the Nebba viewpoint from the hotel and other trails. The hotel staff is great and accommodating. Our family was provided what we asked for, a spacious room on a higher floor with a beautiful nature view though we stayed only one night. The scenery outside our window is picturesque and stunning. We were so happy to see the gondola going up and down from our window and finally got one ride ourselves in the evening. The scenery was breathtaking. We hope we would have stayed a couple more days if our itinerary could have been changed. Thank you so much Grand Hotel.

Situated in the heart of Andalsnes and very close to all the attractions and restaurants, check-in was smooth, and the rooms were clean. The only issue was the washroom sink, which was the smallest we have ever seen in any hotel! The free breakfast was good as well.

We can't say anything bad about it. The view was great. It was clean. The food was good. Parking was free. The staff is so friendly. We recommend this hotel even for a longer stay.

Beautiful location in a small town. Town is a port for a cruise. Highly recommend checking the cruise schedule when booking. It gets quite busy when they arrive. Hotel staff were accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was spectacular. There’s an adorable fluffy kitty that hangs out front and says hello to guests!

This is a gorgeous hotel. Very easy to access if you arrive via train, as we did. Reception staff were very helpful and very friendly offering some good tips. The building itself if a gem and the rooms are amazing. We had a lovely view over the town and water. Bed was comfy and room was well serviced. Breakfast was all you need, not a massive spread but enough to keep you going until lunch. We ate in for dinner a couple of nights and again the meals were very very good and offered good selection of wine. We truly loved our stay and would definitely come back.

Lovely room, excellent bed, fluffy big pillows, excellent sleep. Staff lovely. Dinner extremely good. Breakfast lovely. EV charge too. Good views of the fjord. Very friendly and professional hotel At the top of the hill overlooking the town.
