Grand Hotel Ceahlău

Very nice hotel, right in the heart of the city, walking distance from everything, shops, restaurants, entertainment. Hotel has their own very nice restaurants where they serve delicious food and where you can try traditional food as well. Staff are very friendly, polite and helpful. Hotel is very clean and quiet and comfortable and has everything you need, including a nightclub on top with astonishing views of the city. Prices are very good and overall is a very nice and memorable experience. It has quickly become my default choice of hotel in Piatra Neamt and I strongly recommend it and would return here again without second thoughts

Unfortunately I didn’t have a good experience. The barman forgot about our order twice, second time it was just a beer and i was waiting for 30 minutes. The view is incredible day or night and for that is worth it to visit the place.

12th floor bar very poor. The entire establishment is in distress. They better close this hotel and plan a good refurbishment project.. unless other forces are at work here...to me looks a deliberate attempt to let this place run down in order to be sold for low price to 'investors'.

Hadn't booked it myself, was on a package. It exceeded my expectations for a 3* hotel & service was wonderful. From owner, to waiters, reception, cleaning staff, they all excelled. It's centrally located next to a beautiful park, elegant cafes, top floor bar & I'm sure good views from some rooms. Mine was only single, so small but adequate. Restaurant has no character, buthey try decorating It as best hey can.

I stayed at this hotel recently. At first glance it looks decent, but the conditions are really bad. In 2023 a minimum of conditions should go without saying. We did not have hot water. The explanation from the front desk was that this is how it is when the hotel is full and maybe if I let it run for half an hour, I might have a chance. So be careful if you do go, make sure the hotel is not full. Wifi doesn't work and mobile data signal is very weak in the hotel, you basically have enough internet to send a text and that's about it. Parking is not included, you have to have cash and give an the money to park to an angry guy who's guarding the parking lot, you can't pay it at the same time with the room, or with a debit/credit card based on an invoice or a receipt. You will not receive any proof of payment for the parking. In conclusion, I think this location should be avoided as much as possible. There must be other locations with a minimum of decent conditions in this city.

I have been in the Travel industry over 20 years and travelled around the World and stayed in many top 4 and 5 star hotels, Australia, New York, Vancouver, Peru, Singapore, Hong Kong, etc and never experienced bad, poor customer service, but sadly all that ended last night ! Where you might ask? well of all places right here in the City where I live Piatra Neamt Romania. I won't go into details until I have chatted with the duty manager, who was not on duty at 09:10am apparently not available until later in the day, so a major hotel with no duty manager ! Bizzare. Anyway I will update this review once someone in management is available.

The tap water was red of rust…literally, red rust. The room was cold, we asked the staff to turn up the heat, 4 hours later it was still as cold. Only late in the night, maybe 3 am, we only had a bit of warmth in the heaters. The air conditioning remote had no batteries, because we tried to warm up the room in that manner, we asked the staff member for batteries. He went to look for batteries in a vacant room, he took them from a tv remote. Also, the parking at the front of the hotel does not belong to the hotel….if you park your car there, you have to pay a separate tax to some shady old dude who doesn’t even work for the hotel and the receipt he gave us had botched information regarding the “firm” he worked for. Most likely the firm does not exist at all and that guy’s activity is completely illegal there….but the hotel staff were ok and said it’s just how things go there.

5 ⭐ It's got a great view, plenty of drinks to choose from, food not really in the menu other than some desert and small pizza, but who goes there for the food anyway? The view of the city from up there is gorgeous and it's worth the trip.
