Grand Hotel Coroana

Well located hotel. Rooms are nice, clean and a bit dated. Hotel is under needed lobby renovation. Front desk staff is nice and attentive. Breakfast restaurant staff strained to smile, maybe shy to communicate. Breakfast food and area is nice. The toaster is a conveyor that does not convey, so it was fun to “grill” my toast (tempted to throw a hot dog on the grill but resisted the urge). Hotel was not busy and very quiet on a Sunday night. Renovation crew got to work just before eight o’clock on Monday morning and unavoidably loud. So no issues if you needed to get up before eight o’clock which was wake up time for everyone in the building. Rooms were pretty nice. Parking lot is right out front and small but ample enough for now due to low occupancy. Good location in a great, really special town!

We had an excellent 2 nights stay at this luxury hotel with affordable prices. Everything was perfect, from the comfort and the cleanliness of the room to the great quality of the toiletries, the furniture, the environment, the staff's professionalism! And the people of Bistrița are so nice! I would warmly recommend this hotel!

I slept at the Hotel Corona in Bistrita, Romania, from the 18th to the 19th of May. I went on a tourism trip organized by Pinto Lopes Viagens. I found that the hotel was modern but in my room there was no air conditioning functioning or internal telephone. I went down to the reception and asked for a change of room because the air conditioning working is essential for me to sleep and breathe properly. They informed me that they were full and so they couldn't change my room. I spoke to the tour guide and explained the situation to her. She went to the front desk and insisted that I change my room. They replied that they could change my room but that they did not guarantee that the air conditioning was also working in that new room. I had to sleep with the window open and spent the night being bitten by mosquitoes. I had a horrible night. I spoke to other travelers and some also said that their air conditioning didn't work either. I hated this hotel.|Rui Vieira 28-05-2024

Great hotel with the best location in town! Right across from the City hall gardens ! Very ample free parking with security! Fabulous restaurant try the best ciorba de burta in Transylvania ! Great restaurant historical hotel where Jonathan Harker stayed whilst researching the Dracula books ! A former favourite of Nicolea Ceausescu! Great friendly professional staff delicious breakfast buffet try the organic tomatoes and local cheese! Five star rooms with triple glazed windows and British pocket sprung beds ! Beautiful bathroom every thing spotlessly clean air co top hotel !

This is a very nice hotel located in a short walk to the old town. The hotel offers free parking and has a restaurant. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel has an elevator and I will definately stay here again when in town.

Loved the free parking the security guard (24 hour security bell hops ) showed me the parking which is all around the hotel . great reception staff professional and friendly . luxury rooms box sprung beds . Nice balcony triple glazed windows so quiet . great air-co room was spacious luxury shower / bathroom . All very clean 5* standards . Great restaurant with delicious international/Romanian dishes . this place is an intuition . It is the best hotel in the whole of Bistrita-Nasaud county . Fabulous buffet breakfast . I will be back !
