Grand Hotel Don Gregorio

Great Location. We had a street view and loved waking up to look at the church and trees in front of us. Just Beautiful. Rooms were nice and clean. Friendly Staff. I'm only giving a 4 star due to our room being a little hot. Other than that loved this hotel. Nice and very charming.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful historical hotel. Everything about this hotel was simply perfect: the rooms were beautifully decorated and very comfortable with everything you need and the staff was very friendly! Definitely recommended!

A beautiful 14 room 5 star hotel. Our room was well equipped and very comfortable. Lovely bathroom with bath and separate shower. Excellent Wonderful staff. Excellent valet parking service. Close to lots of restaurants and only a short walk to the cathedral.

Sublime hotel. It has a really calm vibe to it, which combined with the staff’s amazing service, made for a really relaxing stay. The decor is beautiful, as are the rooms. The breakfast is one of the best I’ve ever had. You order from a menu so it arrives perfectly prepared and wonderfully presented. Plus it’s huge! The spa is a little expensive, but we had it to ourselves which made it worth the extra expense. I hope we can return one day!

Superb stay. A perfectly positioned hotel with excellent service and attention to detail. The suite on the top floor is exceptional. |The only suggestion would be to take out the plastic plants everywhere and run the fountain in the courtyard. |We will return.

Wonderful hotel in the best location! My luggage failed to follow me to Spain and the staff ensured that I had everything needed for an outstanding stay there.

The hotel itself was boutique and quite charming. The food was nice although a wedding party had commandeered most of the common amenities. ||What was most disappointing was the noise in our room. There was the loud sound of running water all night which meant literally no sleep at all - despite needing to wear noise cancelling headphones which still struggled to block the sound out!! We travel a lot and understand noise sometimes in inevitable but this was known plumbing issues not other guests. Worse still was that management knew of the issues but no-one mentioned anything until we were booking out. Their non disclosure was disappointing and dishonest. We were not able to make an informed choice about our stay. It was entrapment of a deceptive type.||When I raised the issue in the morning with management the response I got was “ahh yes we know about that, it is a water pressure issue. You should have let us know and we could have fixed it”. In other words bad luck. No repair or attempt to repair our experience. It was a potential issue they were aware of they should have made us aware as paying guests without trying to have the issue addressed at 1am in the morning.||It was hard to get any attention with a wedding taking up so much attention until the early hours of the morning.||I feel as if we were misled and taken advantage of. If you cannot get any sleep in hotel everything else is peripheral and unimportant.||A bit more upfront transparency and honesty on potential room issues is needed by this hotel to manage expectations. As Marriot Platinum members we are well aware of hotel acceptable minimum standards and are usually quite easy going and low maintance, but no sleep, even though management knows prior of the issues, is not good enough. We would not recommend or stay here again.

We loved our stay at this hotel. It reminded us of another one we love in Sevilla. It is a five-star hotel, all the stuff speaks English it seems. They had a printing and computer kiosk outside our door. They had an interior little courtyard that we only took a glance at. They have a lovely atrium area where you can wait and a nice little bar and space to sit for breakfast, I presume. They offer valet parking or you can pack for yourself. It's very conveniently located for the best sites in Salamanca.

I stayed at the Grand Hotel Don Gregorio in Salamanca, Spain in May 2018 on 24/5/2018. It was my 1st time there. I was traveling with A&K and they chose the hotel. This hotel is small but wonderful. The location is within easy walking distance of many of the sites of Salamanca. I was impressed by their breakfast buffet as well. Friendly staff and service. I would love to stay here again. Plus, I took photos.

This is a review of the restaurant only. My meal was paid for, but I'm sure this place has got to be expensive. We ate outside, and it was great! Wonderful paella! We had beef mouth as an appetizer (no idea what the actual name of that food is), which was... interesting. And coconut ice cream cake for dessert, which once I scraped off the coconut was excellent :) It must be awesome to have enough money to stay here- it's right outside the Plaza Mayor, so amazing location! Only one bathroom per gender, which was a little annoying, but makes sense since a lot of people who eat here can probably just go up to their room if necessary.
