My family stayed there for a premiere sporting event (Haute Route) and this was considered the premium (just below superior) option at over 400 CHF per night for the event.||The good|Very large rooms with huge balconies with breathtaking views of the mountains and sunsets.|Hotel has character as it is the oldest hotel in Crans Montana built before 1900.||The so-so|Breakfast included standard European buffet, but eggs only offered 25% of the time. My wife came down 1hr prior to closing breakfast and received frustruating responses from less than interested staff when asking for coffee and cold milk for our toddler. ||The bad|Hotel is completed dated despite a 2001 renovation - all carpets, hard beds, horrible pillows with no head support, lamps from the 1970s (it is the oldest hotel in Crans-Montana). One night when the hotel was near empty I felt it was haunted because the hotel is so old (and was a tuberculosis Sanitorium 100yrs ago)||Some rude staff - Hotel main door would lock even during day, and we received rude staff responses when asking them to let us in to our own hotel! See above about breakfast. I honestly felt that some of the staff didn't care if we were staying there or not.|||

The location is quite good, literally on top of a small hill giving a nice view of the surrounding. Some people will say that the hotel is “Art Deco” but it’s not, it’s just old. Not sure it’s 4 stars but the value for money is good and the staff is extremely kind. Breakfast is ok, plenty of space to park your vehicle. You can access a ski lift (Arnouva) in less than a 5 min walk.

We’ve been visiting this area for a few years and have stayed at two different hotels over the years. While this one does not look the best, this is my favourite. It’s hard to explain. The location and views are fantastic. The rooms are comfortable and I’ve seen improvements each year we visit. Tv has bbc 1, itv and various other channels. So the staff are friendly enough. They are not that america fake friendly. I don’t think their English is great but they have been very helpful to me before letting me have an adaptor for the plugs. Breakfast is good. It’s continental breakfast. Croissants are lovely. Egg station. Selection of meats and cereals. The location is fantastic. Plenty to do in the area.

When I stayed here with the Michigan Ambassadors of Music, it was a very excellent stay. Breakfast was adequate and the dinners served for us were excellent every time! They do offer laundry service, but it is a little bit expensive. The room wasn't big, but it was fine. The view from the balcony was an incredible one, though.

We had a simply beautiful room, very spacious, comfy bed and pillows and a very large bathroom with tub! Mini fridge, hairdryer, everything you could want. We also had a balcony with great views. The only problem is no air conditioning which I understand is pretty standard. You have to open your windows or doors at night to let the cool air in and during the day you are just out of luck. The problem I had was our doors to the balcony were floor to ceiling and the balcony railing connecting to other rooms was plenty low enough to climb over, meaning I didn't get much rest for fear I would waken to someone standing in my room! Also it rained several times we were there and the cold wet night air made me very sick. But if you left the door shut your room became stifling with heat. Other than that we had a great experience. The hotel owner doesn't speak much English but there are others there who do. Download the google translate app - it is a great help!

My husband and I stayed at the Grand Hotel du Parc and had the best memorable experiences. The views of the Swiss alps you could see from anywhere inside of the hotel, for example ;from inside the big huge friendly living room with a piano; from the dining room; from the bed rooms. The staff were so friendly. The owner Marianne Bonvin Walscher a very hospitable lady, who made you feel as part of her family.|We recommend this Grand du Parc Hotel very highly. The food served at the dining room was wonderful, and elegantly served.

The hotel may not be as stylish as some other four star hotels in the region, but it was not overpriced, and the staff went out of their way to make sure we had a good stay. Considering there were 6 kids in total, this was not an easy feat, and included changing menus and rooms, fixing broken fixtures, etc quickly and with a smile||Plus, views are fantastic, and while rooms do vary in size and comfort, ours was good. Yes, we had a very lovely time.

I have stayed one night in this hotel and I have to say that it is not a 4 star hotel but 2 star only. ||The rooms and the hall are in bad condition. You better walk in the bathroom with your eyes closed. The room is very small with squeaky beds. The breakfast in the morning is poor. The couple next to me asked the staff to put away and old rotten cheese that the saw on the tray. The sauna hours are 17-19h. The receptionist astonishingly unfriendly. Overall the hotel could be ok if you divide the price by 3 because the location is not bad and the view from the entrance is good. The hotel has its potential that is unfortunately not developed.
