Absolutely my all time favorite hotel I've ever stayed in. The location CANNOT be beat. The views are EXTRAORDINARY. Rooms are very spacious, with wonderful views. Big bathrooms, with plenty of space for all your amenities while you're staying there. I loved that they give you an actual key. Its like a step back in time, in the most wonderful way. Their coffee was delicious, and of course mixing in their own Swiss cocoa was a must! The hotel was perfectly located. Close to the city center, all the restaurants, shopping, lifts, and hiking trails. I cannot wait to go back. The hotel, the city, the food, the drinks, the people, the hiking....all were just absolutely wonderful.

My family and I stayed at the hotel the week between Christmas and New Years and had a great experience. The service was excellent and the staff incredibly welcoming and friendly. The views from the hotel were splendid since it is located on a small hill overlooking Crans Montana town. Its location is fantastic, only a few steps from downtown and the ski lifts. Although it is not the newest hotel with the most modern facilities (it clearly was top notch back in the days but has not yet been renovated), it is a very charming, cozy and family (&pet!) friendly hotel. The atmosphere is warm and not pretentious - we felt like we were at home! The rooms and bathrooms are comfortable and very spacious. I enjoyed taking a bath every evening after skiing. Lastly, each room had its own private balcony with beautiful views overseeing the mountains. I do recommend this hotel 100%, but don’t expect the most modern facilities.

Beautiful ski resort situated above 2 lakes. The view can't be beat from our rooms.

My family and I loved the Grand Hotel’s hospitality, friendliness and effort to make us feel at home. The view is SPECTACULAR from the rooms and the breakfast and dinners were well served and fresh. The bathroom was well equipped too, with a nice large bath. With the ski lift 5 minutes away, the location is perfect. Its true that some renovations have not taken place to make it feel super-lux, and the staff is a bit under pressure but if you’re not a snob about older decorum and you appreciate effort and soul over absolute perfection, this hotel won’t disappoint you :) many thanks to everyone

My family stayed there for a premiere sporting event (Haute Route) and this was considered the premium (just below superior) option at over 400 CHF per night for the event.||The good|Very large rooms with huge balconies with breathtaking views of the mountains and sunsets.|Hotel has character as it is the oldest hotel in Crans Montana built before 1900.||The so-so|Breakfast included standard European buffet, but eggs only offered 25% of the time. My wife came down 1hr prior to closing breakfast and received frustruating responses from less than interested staff when asking for coffee and cold milk for our toddler. ||The bad|Hotel is completed dated despite a 2001 renovation - all carpets, hard beds, horrible pillows with no head support, lamps from the 1970s (it is the oldest hotel in Crans-Montana). One night when the hotel was near empty I felt it was haunted because the hotel is so old (and was a tuberculosis Sanitorium 100yrs ago)||Some rude staff - Hotel main door would lock even during day, and we received rude staff responses when asking them to let us in to our own hotel! See above about breakfast. I honestly felt that some of the staff didn't care if we were staying there or not.|||

We stayed for one night for a sporting event.||The owner was very helpful as we struggled finding our way to the hotel with road closures.||Check in was quick and we were soon in our room on the 4th floor.||As others have said yes the hotel is very dated decor wise, however apart from this it is good and the location is fantastic, literally a minute walk to the centre of town.||We had a large and spacious room, with a balcony nearly the same size which had the most magnificent view!||The bathroom was a good size and perfectly functional.||The room was spotlessly clean.||We were leaving too early for breakfast however the owner kindly accommodated us and made up a couple of breakfast bags to take out.||Price wise possibly slightly dear really based on how dated the place is, was probably quite the place in its heyday however the location probably does command it with the view and proximity making up for this.||Overall we enjoyed our stay.

The location is quite good, literally on top of a small hill giving a nice view of the surrounding. Some people will say that the hotel is “Art Deco” but it’s not, it’s just old. Not sure it’s 4 stars but the value for money is good and the staff is extremely kind. Breakfast is ok, plenty of space to park your vehicle. You can access a ski lift (Arnouva) in less than a 5 min walk.

We had a simply beautiful room, very spacious, comfy bed and pillows and a very large bathroom with tub! Mini fridge, hairdryer, everything you could want. We also had a balcony with great views. The only problem is no air conditioning which I understand is pretty standard. You have to open your windows or doors at night to let the cool air in and during the day you are just out of luck. The problem I had was our doors to the balcony were floor to ceiling and the balcony railing connecting to other rooms was plenty low enough to climb over, meaning I didn't get much rest for fear I would waken to someone standing in my room! Also it rained several times we were there and the cold wet night air made me very sick. But if you left the door shut your room became stifling with heat. Other than that we had a great experience. The hotel owner doesn't speak much English but there are others there who do. Download the google translate app - it is a great help!
