We didn’t stay at this hotel, but we visited their cocktail bar on our final night in Sorrento — and it was brilliant. Pure luxury. Yes, it’s expensive, but it’s the kind of luxury that’s absolutely worth the money for the experience you get.
We called up about an hour or two in advance and luckily managed to get a table. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and hospitable, exactly what you’d expect from a high-end hotel like this.
The views from the cocktail terrace are nothing short of breathtaking — truly some of the best we saw during our time in Sorrento. Watching the sunset from there was unforgettable.
The drinks themselves were excellent. Not your typical cocktails, but carefully crafted, signature serves you’d only find on a menu like this. They also brought out some crisps, olives and nuts, which was a nice touch. There was even a live singer performing while we were there, which really added to the atmosphere.
It’s worth mentioning that this isn’t for everyone — it is pricey. Cocktails are around €25 each, with a minimum spend of €50 per person. But if you’re happy to treat yourself, it’s well worth it for the setting and experience.
The only small downside was that one of the waiters seemed a little stressed, and it took a while to get served and to ask for the bill. Minor issue though, and it didn’t take away from what was a lovely evening.
Overall, I’d highly recommend stopping in for a drink or two if you want to experience a bit of luxury in a spectacular setting.
