The Grand Hotell offered a very friendly welcome, covered parking and our room was very nice and we had a very good breakfast.|One of the two evenings we ate in the hotel and had, indeed, a fine meal of asparagus and fish cakes with a tangy salsa for starters, fish of the day and fish and chips for mains and a shared dessert of rhubarb creme-brulee, chosen primarily because it was a combination we had never seen before. All well cooked, nicely presented and delicious.

We stayed at the Grand Hotel in Flekkefjord for one night and found it to be a charming and convenient stop on our trip. The hotel is ideally located in the heart of town, with a small parking area available. Though do note that the spaces are quite tight. The building itself has a historical feel, with a touch of grandeur that gives it a unique character. We had a family room with four beds, and it was surprisingly spacious, even including a small seating area and a private terrace. While the terrace overlooked the building next door, we could still catch a glimpse of the beautiful Norwegian mountains rising behind. The room itself didn’t quite match the grandeur of the exterior, but it was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a good night’s rest. Breakfast was simple but satisfying, with fresh options that were regularly replenished. Not overly abundant, but more than enough to start the day right.

I had food at the restaurant of this hotel and must say it was delicious, every day they serve locally sourced fish, you can easily tell when they serve you as it’s super fresh. Highly recommend the restaurant of this hotel.

Beautiful hotel in downtown Flekkefjord. You can walk everywhere from Hotel. Great food at restaurant 😋. Breakfast is okay. Staff is fantastic and very helpful, made the stay worth it. Room is small, but very nice and have to remember I am in Europe not the states. Bed was very comfortable.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Probably nicest accommodation in the area. The only crib was that the breakfast wasn't great. Not much of a selection and the hot food was cold. Our bedroom was a family room with glorious beds. As the hotel is down a pretty backstreet, there are no views from the hotel to speak of.

A truly lovely hotel. We very much enjoyed our stay here, and will absolutely book a room next time we return. Rooms are clean and nicely furnished, with comfortable beds. A wonderful and consistently helpful staff was always available and welcoming. The location is great, but note that it is a short 10 minute walk from the bus station if you're not coming into town by car.||||The highlight was also the breakfast. We may go back to Norway just to enjoy the wonderful breakfast spread and great coffee. ||||The Grand Hotel lived up to its name! Thanks for wonderful stay.

The WIFI didn't work in our room, the TV was not a smart-TV and barely had any channels. The room didn't even have a minifridge to store cold drinks or yoghurt, I had to throw away so much food. There was so much noise from 06 in the morning from the waste-truck and the building next door, they were renovating. And the hotel workers said nothing about it or even apologised for the inconvenience. I'm pregnant and need all the sleep I can get. Also, being pregnant it was hard to pick breakfast from the buffet in the morning, I cant eat anything not well done, and they had alot of serano, salami, raw fish, and both the bacon and the eggs were almost raw. Oh and the scrambled eggs were powder-eggs not real eggs. Guess it depends on what you like when you stay at a hotel, but I have travelled all over Norway, Europe and Asia, and this was not good. We paid almost 2000 kroner per night as well, so I would expect more. The reseption wasn't wery helpful either... not staying here again.

Yelp
My friends and I came into the Grand Gastro Restaurant inside the hotel for dinner after a fantastic rail bike adventure along the fjord. We were quite hungry and this restaurant was everything we were hoping for. We started with a delicious tapas appetizer and bread. They were serving a halibut special that three of us got and it did not disappoint. One person in our group ordered the fish and chips served on top of mushy peas and was also very pleased. There was a special dessert of rhubarb soup with white chocolate mousse that two girls ordered and it was quite nice as well. The service was great and the staff was very friendly. A nice stop in the cute town of Flekkefjord!!
