Grand Hotel Gozo

The hotel didn‘t meet all our expectations. We moved the room due to some issues with electricity, phone an a construction site in front of the balcony. This was handled quickly in a very professional and efficient way by the lady from reception. |The new room was super at first sight , stylish but with a few remarks: not enough sockets, shower head with plenty of limescale, low quality appliances in bath ( sinks / tabs/ ) toilet brush … |However, the bed was very comfortable. |Breakfast was average. I would have welcomed more fresh fruit. |We used the SPA- infrarot cabin at no charge, we just made a booking. I also had a 90 minute massage which was superb!|Pool was good. |Parking is a challenge . The ramp challenged the small car we had rented. |Summary: the hotel is ok with a great view, conveniently located just above the habour. |Staff was great. Financial investment is necessary to make this place spark again.

We just ended our stay at this beautiful hotel overlooking the Mgarr harbour. The hotel is not only in a great location but quite clean and all the staff are highly knowledgeable and professional. We stayed in the Suite and we had a beautiful room with exceptional views. The food is delicious however we only had breakfast here and we also got to experience the spa which is small to what we are used to but still quite relaxing and nice. All the staff were so friendly however a Special mention to the lovely lady who did my treatment Sankara and Nicola in the Reception. Would highly recommend this hotel especially if it’s your first time in Gozo.

We ve stayed one week at the hotel once more. This time we had a beautiful suite on the 8th floor. There is no terrace but a little balcony. Amazing view on the harbour and Comino. The room was very well equipped with all we needed. Lovely bathroom too. Our housekeeper Ramesh did a good job and left a nice surprise for my birthday. Very thoughtful of him. Great breakfast buffet as usual. We will for sure stay there again when we come back. The location is perfect to walk to the harbour and its great choice of restaurants.

Well what can I say absolutely amazing staff, location. Free upgrade to one of the newest rooms with spectacular view of the harbour. Most accommodating to my son with coeliac. Food excellent and the receptionist fabulous helping us with day excursions 🤗 Have recommended to all my friends.

first time at this lovely hotel in gozo, fantastic panoramic views over looking gozo harbour. youssef and Samuel were very courteous and helpful. reception staff were nice and they guided us during our stay. the room was very spacious and spotless. we highly recommend this hotel.

Last minute booking at 100€/night Room was better than expected for a standard one. Bed were confortables, we had selections of tea and coffee in the room as well as bottles of water. The nice surprise was the little outdoor area with a great view on the port of Gozo. Bathroom is a little outdated. We can hear everything from the corridor and very early in the morning. The reception was smooth and they even offered us some orange juice when arriving. The bar area is very nice (with outside area as well) and coffees are pretty cheap. Nice to have a checkout at 12 instead of 11am like many places.

To start off the hotel is in dire need for refurbishment because its falling apart. Dirty corridors with smell of chlorine from the indoor pool. The corridor carpets smell, are all stained and dirty and some of them are even ripped, bathroom curtains stained, shower holder doesnt work or hold position , the doublebed is two single mattresses put next to each other. When we asked the night reception/manager about adjusting the a/c, he told us it is fixed for the whole hotel you can't adjust, he just said open your balcony window, which doesnt even have a net (just a simple glass door) . Cheap furniture everything cracking and tv doesnt work properly . The breakfast is cheap just 4 hot items and some cold items , no variety. Coffee machines dont work well and the coffee in general isn't good . As for the hotel facilities the parking below the hotel is a total disaster . Everything falling apart, dirty and the walls arent even painted and very low light . The parking is like a place from a horror show. The ramp going into the parking is a total nightmare, the car ends up balancing only on 3 wheels as it is very awkwardly made. The lifts of the hotel are spread all around so you gotta walk back and forth to get to reception and parking . For example from level 1 of the parking there is no lift and from level 2 of the parking there is a lift which takes you to level 3 of the hotel. Then you need to find another and only lift which is capable of taking you to reception .Overall bad experience and don't recomend this hotel at all. Avoid at all costs, it is a 4 star hotel but 3 stars would be very generous. We also upgraded the room to a sea view room but ended up being behind the oht door pool.
