The Grand Hotel in Mgarr, Gozo, is a wonderful place to stay if you’re looking for stunning views and warm hospitality. The location is unbeatable—perched above the harbor, the hotel offers breathtaking panoramas of the Mediterranean and Comino. Watching the sunrise from my balcony and lounging by the outdoor pool with those sweeping vistas made my trip truly memorable.||The staff here are genuinely exceptional. From the moment I arrived, everyone was friendly and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. I want to give a special mention to the room cleaner, who kept everything spotless and was always cheerful and accommodating. The rooms themselves are comfortable, with good air conditioning—much appreciated during the warm Gozo days.||Food at the Grand Hotel is a real highlight. Breakfast is generous and varied, but the rooftop restaurant is the true gem. It absolutely deserves its Michelin status; every meal was beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor. For anyone passionate about food, dining here is a must. The rooftop bar, with its panoramic views, is a lovely spot to unwind, though it was the only area that offered a bit of respite from the lively family atmosphere.||That said, the hotel is very family-friendly, which means the pool and common areas can get quite noisy with children. Even the rooftop bar, while more relaxed, still allowed children, which made it difficult to find a truly peaceful, adults-only space. This was very disappointing, especially for those seeking a quiet retreat.||Overall, the Grand Hotel Mgarr stands out for its spectacular views, outstanding food, and genuinely kind staff. If you’re traveling with family, it’s an excellent choice. If you’re hoping for a tranquil, adults-only experience, just be aware that quiet spaces don't exist. Still, the hospitality and culinary experience make it well worth a visit. ||
