This hotel is a 5 stars?|No way! The public areas are very nice and nicely designed.|It is very pleasant to take a seat at the bar or have a bite in the restaurant.|But rooms- that is an other story!|Because all the furnishings are very very old and worn. Rooms are all small and stuffy, carpets are dirty and the doors at the entrance in rooms look broken and dirty..|Not very clean also.|Windows were not cleaned for ages!|Bathrooms small, have a glass wall overlooking the room. Lucky we had a curtain to close! |Restaurant- breakfast is very good and rich. Service very good and prompt.|Dinner- they are extremely expensive, food is tasty and well prepared but portions are small and very small.|We had surprises about the size of the portions, almost remained hungry after spending a lot of money.|There is no law in France about publishing the quantity of food per portion?|The fair is to publish, let's say that the portion is 100g meat+ 100g potatoes, ok, but is my right as a customer to know this right from the begining.|All by all- this hotel is disapointing.

We enjoyed staying at the Grand Hotel La Cloche in Dijon. The people who work there are friendly and took great care of us. The lounge has a nice atmosphere with a good drink menu. The room was comfortable and very clean with everything we needed. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Dijon.

Great location and room, but the front reception desk was less than helpful or personable the few times we asked for basic things (water, towels for the room--when they were taken but not replenished, how to get reservations at the hotel bar).

Kind staff at the arrival helping with the parking and checking in. Good room. The shower is good but the water drain could be improved as the shower basin filled up. Excellent breakfast and very kind staff also helping at departure.

Superb location. Great staff, and one of the best breakfast buffets I encountered on the trip. Not a Vegas over whelming buffet, but everything was first class. From the freshly made crepes to the really great local yogurt on the buffet. I think they need to up their maintenance game though. In the lobby one of the couches had stuffing stick out of it, in our room most of the furniture was pretty scuffed up, missing pieces of laminate and unfinished light fixtures. etc

This hotel is so centrally located in Dijon; every key site we wanted to see was walking distance and shopping is also nearby. Although we arrived Saturday morning, finding the hotel location was easy. My biggest compliment is to the staff. The front desk was so accommodating when we arrived early in the pouring rain. The valet quickly took our car to the garage, and the front desk stored our luggage for us. This left us free to roam Dijon at our leisure without any worries. The staff welcome and friendliness was truly excellent. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Our one bump was an attempted dinner at the hotel restaurant: it was full, booked up completely.

All of the staff were great, excellent and reasonably priced meal for the high standard. A special mention to the guy who went over and above helping us with getting our EV charged for the next day

The restaurant Garden of the Bells was one of the worst meals I’ve ever had. The steak was a big piece of fat. The escargot was tasteless. The service was not good. The staff was dismissive. We spent 80-100 euros per meal. Wow!! Stay away from this restaurant. Hotel was ok but not the restaurant.
