Just wow. If you don't want the crowds of Sorrento/Amalfi I highly recommend coming to Gaeta and booking your stay here. It was easy to arrive via taxi from the Formia-Gaeta train station from Rome. Views- Amazing. Staff-Amazing. Rooms-Amazing. Restaurant- Incredible. I can't wait to book again for a solo trip.

This hotel was way more than we expected. It's well kept, with lovely and friendly staff and it's very quiet. The views are spectacular and the beach and water are pristine. Breakfast has a wide variety of options as does dinner including fresh fish which varies every day. Staff always recommended excellent wine parings for meals. There are several places to get lunch or a drink throughout the day. There is a well equipped gym and pool/hot tub. |The only caution is if you are even remotely mobility impaired there are no elevators and a myriad of stairs to access all areas of the property. Otherwise it is beautiful and a lovely way to end a trip.

We stayed at Grand Hotel le Rocce for 4 nights and absolutely loved it. The hotel sits on a cliff with breathtaking sea views, the setting is magical. The rooms are a bit small, but more than comfortable for sleeping, and honestly, you won’t want to stay inside when everything else is so amazing. The beach is peaceful and protected, perfect for swimming and relaxing. The pool area is lovely as well, with plenty of spots to lounge and enjoy the view. The food and drinks are excellent, and the staff is incredibly kind and attentive. The atmosphere is serene, welcoming, and truly unforgettable. Overall, a beautiful, relaxing, and memorable experience. Highly recommended!

Everything at this hotel will exceed your expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the view. The rooms have an old world charm and ours had a patio which invited the beauty of the Mediterranean into our room. Be careful for mosquitoes if you leave your doors open at night. They are more aggressive than an italian full of espresso on a scooter. We especially loved the beach. It was without a doubt one of the most beautiful we have seen and we live in Florida near a 100 beaches. We also loved the personality of the staff. This is not a tourist town so be prepared to practice some Italian. We loved spending time with Marinella who was so sweet and engaging. She loved spending time to learn some English while we were learning our italian. She is a charm and the resort is lucky to have her on their staff. The food in the restaurant never disappoints and the breakfast is more than you might expect. We loved the capresse sandwich with parma ham for lunch to the point that it was addictive. You have to ask for the white bread and parma version which I called Salvatore’s Sammy. Arrange for a round trip taxi for 30 euro to town and back to explore the restaurants in old town. We walked from split mountain into town which was worth the trip. Gaeta is a hidden gem and a more authentic experience of italy than you get from sorrento or Positano.

This was a great 3 day holiday for us. It was calming and the staff was perfect - always with a smile in the reception, the restaurant and by the pool and beach. ||The resort itself was beautiful, the beach was amazing and the water even better.||It was really everything we needed for our holiday. We want to come back!

Just back from a lovely weekend away at the Grand Hotel le Rocce. Stayed in a standard room with a balcony and really enjoyed it. Room had a super king bed and was very clean, comfortable, nicely decorated and had a fantastic view looking down to the beach. Breakfast on the terrace was delightful. Good choice of delicious food in a superb setting. Mostly ate out in Gaeta, 15 mins away, but did have an evening meal once and that too was nice. Loved the pool area, but particularly enjoyed the beach and sea. Beautiful hotel, fantastic location, very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.

Le Rocce is a hidden gem! The views are absolutely breathtaking — waking up to that panorama feels like a dream. The seafood at the restaurant is some of the best we’ve had: fresh, flavorful, and served with care. The beach is peaceful and protected — no wind, calm water, and even a little cave to explore nearby. Perfect for families! Our kids swam for hours in the gentle sea. The only small downside was the humidity in the room. All our clothes from the luggage ended up feeling damp, and the AC seemed to make the air even more humid. Not a big issue, but worth noting. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely return for the views, food, and tranquil beach vibe!

This is a great resort overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea next to the town of Gaeta. They offer high quality rooms, a very nice restaurant, a beach bar/cafe, and a private beach. A very pleasant resort to escape to for relaxation, good food, and places to explore. All at a very competitive price. We would highly recommend this Italian resort.

Yelp
My husband and I ended our Italy trip in Geata as we wanted to stay in a more remote area of Italy on our way back from Amalfi coast to Rome. We took the train into the city, and got a 15 minute taxi drive to the hotel. We decided to book Albergo as they had one of the best TripAdvisor reviews in the area (plus a private beach), however we didn't realize that it is about a 20 minute drive to the town center - which will cost you a $15 taxi. They have a city bus, but it does not run that often (only once an hour on the weekends, and less during the week). However, we still enjoyed our time in Geata. The hotel was nice and clean, and the grounds were kept up nicely. Our plan was to relax in Geata and that's exactly what we did. The beach area was decent (clean, crystal clear water), and they also have free lounge chairs, tables and umbrellas. In addition, they have a nice freshwater pool at the top of the resort, however the hot tub wasn't what I would consider a "hot" tub. It was basically the same temp of the pool and had jacuzzi jets. For our room we got a King suite that faced the ocean. The room could have used some updating, but I thought it was all apart of the old Italian charm of the resort. The patio off our room was HUGE and had a bistro table and lounge chairs. Apart of our room rental included breakfast, which was really nice. The spread included everything from eggs to croissants and fruit. A nice mix of options. Breakfast was served at the only restaurant at the resort, and we also went there for dinner. For Dinner my husband and I got the veal marsala and filet. Both were amazing, but the tiramisu was the best for dessert!!! I would give the restaurant for dinner 5 stars! Overall for the value, Albergo, was a great place to stay and somewhere to consider if you want to avoid the touristy area of Italy.
