Yelp
This small boutique hotel is in the shadows of the Eiffel Tower and is well-positioned for walking many of the historical sites in Paris. We chose this hotel for that reason, but would choose another option the next time around.
The elevator here is tiny, and that's ok, but just be prepared. One person and one bag can fit at one time OR you can place two bags in the elevator, press the button and meet your luggage at whatever floor you pick.
Service was ok. The daytime front desk gal was the most helpful and friendly, with the evening/nighttime guys needing some coaching on being a bit friendlier. Though, at one point, we had run out of toilet paper (during the day) and the front desk gal questioned why we needed another roll. Really? That was uncomfortable. We also spent a day without our garbage emptied, but that wasn't a big deal. It just added to some lack of attentiveness by the cleaning person.
Our room was tiny, bland and uninviting. In fact, it was so tiny that we couldn't unpack. After one night, my husband asked if we could move to a different room, and when the front desk gal showed him our other option, we jumped on it! Even though it was the same room category, it was larger, appeared to have been renovated, had some color, and offered room to move around and space to unpack and store our belongings.
Hotel Leveque offers a $10 breakfast but since the location of this hotel is on Rue Cler, surrounded by cafes, it just didn't make sense to eat here. We regularly enjoyed breakfast next door or a few doors down and spent just as much or less.
They also offer free Wi-Fi which worked well for us.
Overall, there just wasn't anything interesting about this hotel to make us come back. Why two rooms in the same room category were different sizes really baffles me. The little things like leaving a full garbage can and questioning our need for another roll of toilet paper, well, those little things matter. The location of this hotel is PERFECT which is why we'll take a look at the other hotels also on Rue Cler next time we visit Paris.
