Grand Hôtel Lille

We enjoyed our stay in Lille. The hotel was convenient for the station but on a very noisy road which made it difficult to sleep. The lighting on the staircase needs to be improved - it made it rather dangerous descending the stairs! The lift was extremely small especially with suitcases. It would be good to have a safe in the room. However the hotel was clean and the staff friendly, the breakfast was decent and overall it was good value for money.

I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel during my week in Lille. The staff was absolutely fantastic—genuinely helpful, friendly, and welcoming from the moment I arrived. When the weather warmed up, they kindly brought a fan to my room, which made all the difference. One evening, they even helped me open a bottle of wine and offered a lovely glass so I could enjoy it in my room during a quiet evening of relaxation.||The room was spacious and extremely comfortable, with one of the best beds I’ve slept in during my travels. Breakfast each morning was fresh and satisfying, and I especially appreciated the warm conversations I had with various members of the team throughout my stay. I only wish I’d had the chance to say au revoir to each of them before I left.||Merci for making my time in Lille so memorable!

Great location for eating out, sightseeing and getting around. There is a super helpful team. Compact yet well thought out rooms. Add to that an excellent breakfast. Just be careful about timing a visit since prices rise steeply with demand. It is not so much a 'Grand' hotel, more of a gem. NB. The lift is small and slow and the stairs need getting used to. Come down early for breakfast since table space is limited at present due to renovation. May 2025

Not outstanding, but ok. The room was mostly clean, but the lack of plugs at the bedside was inconvenient. Rooms on the top (5th) floor take a while to cool down on a summer's night and open windows let in street noise. The people at reception were very helpful and friendly when offering help and making suggestions. Good shower.

Well located near Eurostar and main town. Family room as expected, sufficiently sized for three single beds. No air conditioning so we opened window, then the street was noisy. Breakfast is continental and would have been enhanced by cooked option (no boiled eggs) but there was plenty to choose from. Slight issue with a very smelly toilet and the door handle of the bathroom was very wobbly.

This is the third time that I've stayed at the Grand and as before it was a good experience. The staff are friendly, welcoming and efficient. Room was adequate, clean, comfortable. I certianly hope to return again next year.

Reception staff were really friendly and helpful and the location was very convenient. The bed was comfortable. We would stay here again if we returned to Lille.
