Grand Hôtel Lille

Great little hotel with 4 floors and a lift, and very clean comfortable smart rooms that are decorated to high standards! Standard French breakfast that had a great range of breads butter & marge and various spreads from honey to chocolate! A modern coffee machine disperses all requirements! Late breakfast and checkout times make your stay totally unrushed!

While not a full service hotel, it fits occupy an enviable location overlooking the main square and has a just decent buffet breakfast. The front dear can be helpful in a limited fashion and they do respond to complaints in a reasonable way. The roof top bar is a good p place to hang out and the drink prices are better than fair. One tip, don't be confused by the Grand Hotel sign on a commercial building directly on the square. The real hotel entrance is two lefts past that.

We enjoyed our stay in Lille. The hotel was convenient for the station but on a very noisy road which made it difficult to sleep. The lighting on the staircase needs to be improved - it made it rather dangerous descending the stairs! The lift was extremely small especially with suitcases. It would be good to have a safe in the room. However the hotel was clean and the staff friendly, the breakfast was decent and overall it was good value for money.

Great location for eating out, sightseeing and getting around. There is a super helpful team. Compact yet well thought out rooms. Add to that an excellent breakfast. Just be careful about timing a visit since prices rise steeply with demand. It is not so much a 'Grand' hotel, more of a gem. NB. The lift is small and slow and the stairs need getting used to. Come down early for breakfast since table space is limited at present due to renovation. May 2025

Had five nights at the Grand whilst watching the start of the Tour de France. Wanted somewhere close to both Lille Europe and Lille Flanders stations and the hotel proved ideal.|Our room on the first floor was quite small and a little tired looking but clean, however there were no drawers and limited shelving. The bed was good and though there was no aircon, a large fan was provided which operated very quietly. We overlooked a small inner courtyard so had no view but had the benefit of being very quiet. The bathroom was ‘bijoux’ in the extreme but well appointed with a large and well-lit mirror. Plentiful handwash and shower gel was available, though the toilet tissue was of dubious quality!|Breakfast was plentiful and good value and the breakfast room itself very pleasant.|Generally speaking, the hotel proved ideal given the purpose of our visit.

The room was pretty clean, confortable enought ; the hotel is well located ; breakfast is ok but... no airco; no fresh air in the room. we had to sleep with the windows open and fight hundreds of mosquitoe's. I personnally wasn't able to sleep before 3 A.M. ||

Simple but comfortable, clean hotel. Attentive and knowledgeable staff, great location. only note that it might be uncomfortable in hot weather. The windows are big and offe good ventilation, there were a lot of mosquitos

I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel during my week in Lille. The staff was absolutely fantastic—genuinely helpful, friendly, and welcoming from the moment I arrived. When the weather warmed up, they kindly brought a fan to my room, which made all the difference. One evening, they even helped me open a bottle of wine and offered a lovely glass so I could enjoy it in my room during a quiet evening of relaxation.||The room was spacious and extremely comfortable, with one of the best beds I’ve slept in during my travels. Breakfast each morning was fresh and satisfying, and I especially appreciated the warm conversations I had with various members of the team throughout my stay. I only wish I’d had the chance to say au revoir to each of them before I left.||Merci for making my time in Lille so memorable!
