Grand Hotel President

We had our wedding at Grand Hotel President on 28th September and it was nothing short of spectacular. Our guests were blown away by the wonderful panoramic views of the Bay of Naples, Sorrento city and Mount Vesuvius. The hotel staff were absolutely fantastic and made everyone feel welcome. The food was phenomenal and the wine flowed continuously throughout the meal. Angela Di Prisco was there with us from beginning to end to plan our wedding to perfection. I cannot recommend her enough. She’s a wonderful human being and made what could have been a stressful process so so easy. We had the wedding of our dreams!

As many have said before top location for views if you have a sea view room and lovely balcony for sitting on .|The staff are very friendly and attentive .|The walk down the hill to town is away from the main road on a path so quite safe -only for those with good knees though ! Shuttle bus is very easy to use but can get busy .|Big negative for me was the noise from weddings -the music is loud and from the rooftop bar area and function room .we have had 2 of these so far in our weeks stay .|The rooms are comfortable and the bed faces the view which is stunning. |Just shampoos and body wash provided so bring your own conditioner and body cream .|Would I stay again -yes if there were no wedding functions on .

The staff were fantastic, couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast had lots of choice, room service very good, as was the evening meal in the restaurant. Views to die for, *get a sea view room* Rooms well equipped and beds comfortable. The hotel is up on a hilltop, hence the fantastic views. There is a goat path down to the town. Ok, going down but a slog going back up. There is a regular shuttle bus from the hotel down to the town, always enough space on it, and the main driver is lovely, he interacts and plays some great tunes. ||Best hotel we've stayed at. We will definitely return.

The Grand Hotel President is a true gem! Its hillside location offers breathtaking views over the Bay of Naples, with a regular shuttle bus making it easy to pop into town. The buffet breakfast is plentiful, dinner choices excellent, and the staff are simply fantastic - every team member goes out of their way to make your stay special. The service here is exceptional - from the restaurant and bar staff to the reception team and Maria Grazia in housekeeping (our room was always spotless, and we were greeted each morning with such warmth). This was our second visit, and it certainly won’t be our last.

The views are spectacular. The vast majority of staff particularly cleaning team and main restaurant staff are warm and welcoming. Food at breakfast is great. Good selection for everyone. There are a mixture of both couples and families with young ones. Staff are always great with young families and helping those that need it. Our biggest bug bear is not sleeping well. Very disappointed with the level of noise that could be heard through walls in the corridor and next door when you are in your room. Moved room still didn't make a difference. Spoke to other guests and they said the same. I will not be returning for that very reason. I want to sleep well on my holiday not feel shattered from not sleeping well. So it's a no from me. It would have been 1 star only but that would be unfair to the staff who are working hard in those areas I previously mentioned. Finally dont get hung up on the hotel star rating it's given. For me it doesn't feel like a 4 star at all. But that's my personal view and it's very country dependent.

The hotel is beautiful, with an amazing location that offers stunning views of Sorrento. It’s a very peaceful place to stay. However, the prices for drinks at the hotel are quite expensive. Since there are no local shops or bars nearby, the hotel can charge whatever they like. For example, a lime soda costs 5 euros (compared to just 99 cents in supermarkets), and an Aperol Spritz is 13 euros, whereas it’s only 8 euros in bars in the main town. I’m happy to pay regular prices, but not inflated ones just because there’s no other choice.

We Visited in July 2025 and had a great time. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay—especially Antonio at the bar, who was always chatty, remembered our usual orders, and gave us some excellent recommendations for places to visit. The rooms and pool area were both clean and well-maintained, making it easy to relax and enjoy the stay. Breakfast was another highlight, with a great variety of options to choose from each morning. Big thanks as well to Antonio the bus driver—he was extremely helpful with directions and made getting around simple and stress-free. Overall, lovely views and a really enjoyable stay. Would happily come back!

My wife and I have just returned from the Grand Hotel President in Sorrento. It was our fifth visit to this hotel. We love the place and there is always a sense of returning home when we get there. The staff throughout the hotel are outstanding, so friendly and kind. The food is fabulous and the panoramic views over Sorrento and the Bay of Naples must be the best of any hotel in the city. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean and it's a great place to stay. Grazie mille Grand Hotel President!
