Grand Hotel Royal e Golf

My husband and I stopped in to the cafe for lunch. We are vegan and confirmed that the beyond burger on their menu would be vegan without the mayo. When we got our burgers there was clearly a glaze of butter on the bun. We were brought bread which we asked whether it was vegan, the server said she’d ask the chef but never returned to answer our question. No one came after our food was delivered to ask if we wanted anything else. We finally got up and found the server to ring up our bill. She asked if we wanted the receipt to which my husband said “no thank you” and she handed it to him anyways. We understand the Italian culture is of a slower and more relaxed pace, but this service was not that…it was inattentive and careless. The only redeeming quality was that the location was peaceful and relaxing but overall the experience was not.

Arrived exhausted and drained from TMB. Left refreshed and ready to carry on. All staff were helpful and attentive going out of their way to find the correct charger for my garmin and drying our wet clothes.. thank you

Without a doubt the finest hotel in Courmayeur with its beautiful spa, delicious food, charming rooms and world class service.

Fantastic hotel, with an historic flair. Rooms are big, perfectly clean and with nice amenities. SPA has everything you can ask and something more. The staff is incredibly nice, friendly and helpful and was super supportive even before arriving (special thanks to Cristiano). The breakfast is outstanding and the bar is lively, nice and classy. The restaurants serve excellent food as well.

I went there for aperitivo, a complete ripoff! Extremely crowded, extremely lousy, age range >55. A guest asked for a Prosecco and the waiter suggested a Blanc de blanc champagne!! You even get kicked out as soon as the time elapses for the next group !!

The hotel is definitely above its peak. The room we had was really tiny, with only a balcony door and no other window so there was not much daylight. With two large suitcases, you could barely move around the room. The balcony was also very tiny, the furniture hardly fitted in. |There is no air-condition and the room does not offer key cards but some old fashioned key (only one for two people).|The bar was lovely and staff there as well, however it has been made a "BMW publicity bar" which made it look cheap.||Breakfast was really poor, no Salami (in Italy???), no real croissants. When we asked for an Omlette, they told us they could not make that although scrambled egg was somehow possible. The tablecloth was far to big so you had to be very careful not to accidentally step on it. ||I often stay in five star hotels and this was the poorest experience so far. Value for money just does not match. Also some renovation of the rooms would be highly recommended.

A beautiful hotel set right in the middle of lovely Courmayeur! The rooms are spacious and the views are absolutely incredible! Breakfast is lavish and superb. The service was excellent, especially from the reception team and the spa team. The heated swimming pool with the backdrop of the Alps and the amazing spa make this hotel an excellent choice!

Best location. The hotel is a bit worn out but has a soul of an ancient hotel. Even if the elevators are museum-like and you're afraid to enter them. Nice restaurant, spacious lobby and bar, outside warm pool. Friendly staff. BUT the spa aera is completly not today. You go to the pool via narrow stairs and through the small gym. No place to leave towels and bathrobe. Then cold shower so people dont't use it at all. Everything was planned wrong. As a first step just a little tweaking would be enough: the shower with adjustable water temperature, clothes hanger, repaired shower taps next to saunas. There is simply a lack of management. But investment and modernization are needed.

Service was superb; the waiters doted on us. Everything was brought on trolleys. For example, when we ordered a single malt, they brought the bottle, glass and ice table side and poured here. Wine selection was wonderful, had a good local recommendation. Definitely make reservations. Highly recommend. The service alone made it a lovely romantic night. Food wise, we had the beef tartare (best we have had anywhere) and a fontina cheese and smoked ham roll. Wow! For the next plate, we had a wild mushroom ravioli and a orecchiette; also amazing. We had suckling pig tenderloin and sliced beef with peppers; little on the dry side but still good. Presentation was outstanding!
