Our recent stay was our fifth stay at the GH Toplice. It's a step back in time for us and we love it. We always get a balcony room with Lake views that is exceptional. They are updating rooms annually and have been very meticulous with using different updated rooms as models for feedback to make sure they get the best results. We have stayed in one of the test rooms and it's very nice! I have always had the best service at the hotel. The front desk is always helpful and friendly. Breakfast is fantastic with a great setting and service. Housekeeping always keeps our room refreshed and the Spa staff always takes good care of us during our stay. Thank you so much! We will be back. Joseph W

The wonderful & not so wonderful. Wonderful: The location cannot be beat. The personnel working in the front desk in concierge were so friendly and helpful. Asil help me check in and check out and was incredibly informative. Breakfast was well presented. The rooms are elegant. The shower has FANTASTIC shower pressure. The not so great: The rooms definitely need a refresh. The paint on the inside in the outside of the doors is peeling. The paint on the exterior is also very grimy. The bathrooms are in surprisingly good condition which I think is mainly due to the materials used. Because the hotel has hardwood floors, you can hear everyone above you clomping around. Also, the walls between rooms is quite thin plus if people leave their balcony doors open. This is particularly frustrating when the individuals in the suite next you are having an argument and it’s loud enough for you to hear, but unfortunately the walls aren’t thin enough for you to actually make out the words of what they’re saying so unfortunately, you can never decide who side of the argument here we are on. Which frankly is just frustrating. Apparently the hotel will be going through a refresh soon and once that is completed, I cannot wait to come back. Nearly every single person I came in contact with at this hotel was incredibly friendly and incredibly helpful. I only encountered one person who was not friendly/rude which was one of the employees at breakfast. He had the same sort of brisk personality every single day of my day so I think that may just be how he is. On the day of check out, the weather was absolutely terrible but Asil took my luggage and myself to my car with umbrellas. Frankly that is amazing service. Overall, this hotel is an absolute gem. My only regret is not staying longer.

The best location on the lake! Lakeside rooms are a must in our view. The view is just fantastic come rain or shine! It’s true the rooms are a little dated (refurb is planned) but we suspected this might be the case and it did not detract from our stay or the view. We stayed on a B&B basis and the breakfasts were truly outstanding. However, the hotel’s crowning glory is it’s staff – very friendly, professional and engaging. It was lovely getting to know them! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Grand Hotel Toplice has the best location on Lake Bled.|Stunning views of the lake from the bar and lounge and all of the rooms at the back of the hotel. With its own private terrace right at the lakeside with sunbeds and access to swim in the lake.|We had a room at the front of the hotel with a balcony - we realised that it didn't have a lake view but hadn't realised that the balcony would have no furniture or that it would overlook a busy road.|The hotel has a grand history but is very tired - although I understand that a refurbishment is happening soon. When it's completed, this will be a fantastic place to stay.|The breakfasts were great, and I loved sitting outside with the lake view, looking over to the island and the castle.|Liked the complimentary rowing boat hire to go over to the island.|It is very near all of the restaurants and amenities in Bled.

From the moment we arrived at the Grand Hotel Toplice in Lake Bled, we were completely enchanted. Upon check-in, we were greeted with a welcome cocktail in the sitting room lobby — and let me tell you, sipping that drink while taking in the most breathtaking view I’ve ever seen felt like a dream. The service here is in a league of its own — truly the highest caliber I’ve experienced anywhere in the world. Every staff member went above and beyond to make our stay feel personal, warm, and effortless. Our room was absolutely perfect, and I have to give special mention to the water pressure (a small but very important detail for me!) — it was spot on. The location couldn’t be better — just steps from charming shops, delicious restaurants, and local events. But the crown jewel of our stay? The hotel’s private beach. With bar service, attentive personal butlers, and the best possible access to swim in Lake Bled, it was pure bliss. I have never recommended a hotel more highly in my life. Out of all of our global travels and experiences with Small Luxury Hotels, this one stands at the very top of my list. We will absolutely be returning — the Grand Hotel Toplice has officially become my favorite stay in the world.

My daughter and I spent a couple of days in an apartment around the lake bled area but decided to treat ourselves to the last night in this hotel.||It didn’t disappoint. We were given an upgrade to a suite that faced in land. We would’ve loved a Lakeview but a little expensive for us. I had a sneak peek at the Lakeside views and wow they were amazing!||Stuff very attentive with a welcome drink champagne or orange juice and the views all around after to die for.||Breakfast was everything you needed and more, including complimentary champagne!||Spa area was really friendly but the swimming pool was freezing. Hotel stuff did say that we also could use the immunities of their sister hotel just around the corner. We didn’t but it was nice to be able to have that choice.

Such a wonderful place to stay. We had a balcony room overlooking the lake with castle and cathedral view. Simply amazing! Breakfast buffet was good & hospitality staff were great! We loved the time we were able to spend here!

This is the place to stay on Lake Bled. Nothing close. The decor is dated a bit and the carpets worn - but very cool spot. Service is kind of - you have to ask before they offer but you get used to that. Front desk folks are great and parking is close. Buffet is average and could be better. Reduce the number of things and focus more. Lattes were like warm at best. But the photo captures it
