Grand Hotel Victoria concept & spa, by R Collection Hotels

We stayed at Hotel Grand Victoria for a few nights during our Lake Como trip and had a wonderful experience overall. The hotel is in a perfect location, right by the lake and close to shops, restaurants, and the ferry. Our room was beautiful and very spacious, with a large balcony overlooking the pool. We really enjoyed sitting out there and relaxing. The room was spotless, the bed was super comfortable, and everything felt elegant and well taken care of. Most of the staff were warm and helpful. The front desk and concierge were especially great, offering helpful recommendations and making us feel welcome. Breakfast on the terrace was another highlight, with plenty of fresh options and a view that was truly stunning. The only issue we had was with the service in the dining area. While the server was polite, communication was very limited. Responses were often just “yes” with no explanation, even when we asked a question. It made things a little confusing and felt a bit impersonal compared to the rest of the experience. That said, everything else was lovely. The hotel is peaceful, stylish, and a great place to enjoy the beauty of Lake Como. We would definitely come back.

This is a gorgeous old world property, beautifully renovated and modernized; an intermediate size world class hotel on the shore of Lake Como. On check-in, we were given a tour of the entire property before being escorted to our room. The public spaces are tasteful, contemporary and sleek. The level of service and staff attentiveness is second to none. Our room was nicely decorated, with fully automated lights and shades. The door was the heaviest I have ever encountered in a hotel, making the room extremely quiet. I loved the push-button shower. The hotel has a beautiful outdoor pool, a reasonable sized fitness center (which has a lot of treadmills and stationary bikes but could use a bit more weight equipment) and a sensational spa. The highly atmospheric spa (dark with blue mood lighting) has an indoor pool, multiple types of saunas and sensory showers, relaxation rooms, and a jacuzzi, as well as all the usual spa services. It is very relaxing, especially after a full day of hiking. The restaurant is excellent, both food and superb service. The breakfast buffet is sumptuous (loved the freshly squeezed orange juice). The hotel is a short stroll from the center of Menaggio and the ferry dock. Overall, this is simply a fabulous hotel in every respect, a world class five star pampering experience in a beautiful location. I would love to return.

Our room was large, very clean, and had a big balcony with a view of the pool which we really enjoyed.||The front desk and concierge staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast on the terrace was delicious and the view made it even more special.||The only small issue was the service during breakfast. The server was polite, but barely spoke beyond simple greetings, and sometimes just said “yes” to questions without clarifying, which was a bit confusing.||Despite that, we had a lovely experience and would definitely return. A perfect mix of comfort, elegance, and a great location.

This amazing hotel made us fall in love with the Lake Como area. Super friendly, helpful staff to make sure you are treated extremely well. Beautiful location with easy access to Menaggio and surroundings. Honestly, the hotel is so wonderful it's perfectly ok to stay close, relax and just enjoy. Be sure to take advantage of the amazing breakfast buffet and not to be missed huge spa. Spa is the perfect way to unwind at the end of your day. Already planning our return trip in order to spend more time in this beautiful part of Italy.

Recently spent three nights at the Grand Hotel Victoria in Menaggio. The lakeside setting is mere steps away from the busy heart of town, but felt serene. Every staff member we encountered was welcoming, helpful, and dedicated to ensuring our comfort. Our room was in the ‘modern’ building, and featured the most high-tech command system we’ve ever experienced in a hotel, which was impressive, if a bit confusing. (Note: there are no written instructions, and the onscreen icon system is not the most intuitive.). The space was compact, clean, comfortable, quiet, and nicely decorated and appointed, with thoughtfully placed outlets and ports and good wi-fi. The breakfast buffet was vast and memorably good, with seating that offered gorgeous views of the lake and mountains. Altogether a great stay!

We had a wonderful stay at the Grand Hotel Victoria. The staff were all friendly and enthusiastic, making us feel truly welcome from the moment we arrived. The facilities were spotless and beautifully maintained, perfectly complementing the stunning natural scenery — especially the area right in front of the hotel. The dinner was excellent, with every dish prepared to a high standard. Spa is simply wonderful. We were also touched by the thoughtful attention to our special occasion, which made our stay even more memorable. I would like to come back soon. Highly recommended!

The service here was absolutely outstanding, we had a medical emergency and the level of care and attention was outstanding. On arrival the whole experience from start to check out, was faultless. We appreciate the staff and their attention to detail, it was the best throughout our trip to lake Como so thankyou! Despite the weather, we still had a great time. We were offered a free upgrade and the room was great, food also very good with a wide choice at breakfast. |The only thing I would improve, would be to add handrails by the steps in the spa and also include beach access for guests as the photos are shown on line. |We will definitely be back, thankyou for a wonderful stay!!

The Grand Hotel Victoria in Menaggio was absolutely fantastic. The service and staff were impeccable and the location could not be beat. Besides a boat charter, the Victoria Beach Club, and some meals in the town, our group thoroughly enjoyed relaxing at the hotel with its pool, below ground spa, and amazing lake views. Great way to start our summer vacation in Italy.
