As a proclaimed '5 star hotel', I am extremely disappointed by the hotel’s negligence and lack of basic care. On our Exoticca tour stay on Feb 10,, I was wearing slippers in the room when I stepped on broken glass that had clearly not been cleaned from the floor. The glass pierced through my slipper and cut deeply into my left foot, causing significant bleeding. This incident should never have happened if the room had been properly cleaned and inspected before our arrival. When we showed them the blood-soaked slipper with the glass still embedded in it, still the staff did not respond well.
The hotel did not even have basic first aid supplies available. I had to seek help from another guest to obtain bandages and disinfectant while my foot was bleeding heavily. At no point did the staff take responsibility, offer meaningful medical assistance, or check on my condition afterward.
Because of the severity of the wound, I was unable to walk properly for two days, which significantly disrupted our trip. Even now, nearly two weeks later, I am still experiencing pain in my foot. Despite the seriousness of the injury and the hotel’s clear failure to maintain a safe and clean environment, no compensation or apology was offered
