Stayed 3 nights at Grand Hotel Wiesler. Across the river to old town centre, the location is hard to beat.
Our bright and spacious room faced the inner courtyard on the 6th floor with a view over the adjacent rooftops which allowed for quiet & restful nights.
This is an older but uniquely updated hotel with very warm hallways and rooms - we had to sleep with the windows ajar in late October!
Fluffy & warm down comforters, but down pillows unfortunately lacked our preferred neck support.
Basic amenities with dispenser shower/hair shampoo, and as other reviewers mentioned, an additional luggage rack or a simple wardrobe/cabinet/bench by the entry coat rail would be functionally appreciated for guestrooms (see pic of how - by day 2 - we had to hang our clothes on the lone clothes rail with no closet/wardrobe space available)
There is also an in-room coffee pod dispenser but unfortunately no kettle to boil water for tea.
Salon Marie restaurant on premises is lovely - pricey- but a popular spot for breakfast & dinner.
Overall, great location for a comfortable and quaint stay
