I had a very enjoyable stay at the Grand Hyatt Berlin and would happily recommend it—especially when booking a room with Club Lounge access, which is absolutely worth considering.
I stayed in a King Room on the 7th floor with Club access, and the overall experience was excellent. The Club Lounge is a major highlight: a generous selection of beverages is available throughout the day, including Fever-Tree mixers, Coca-Cola (regular, Zero, Light), water, juices, and a well-equipped coffee machine offering everything from espresso to latte macchiato. There is also a solid tea selection (around ten varieties). Outside the designated breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening service (Vegetarian food included) times, fresh fruit (such as apples and bananas) is available. The lounge itself is spacious, comfortable, and well designed, with roughly 15–20 tables, a large TV, and a relaxed atmosphere. Service is a mix of self-service and attentive staff—there were always two team members present and helpful.
The service quality throughout the hotel was very strong. Check-in was smooth, and early check-in was possible (well before the official 3 PM time), which was greatly appreciated. Concierge, security, and luggage services were all efficient and professional. Staff remembered my name, and the personalized welcome message on the TV added a thoughtful touch that made the stay feel genuinely welcoming.
The location is central, close to Potsdamer Platz and major attractions. Due to current construction in the area, vehicle access can be a bit tricky—the most reliable access point is via Voxstraße (side entrance), which is also the best spot for taxis. This is a minor inconvenience but worth knowing in advance.
The room itself was spacious, clean, and very well equipped. The king-size bed was extremely comfortable, the room was quiet, and blackout curtains worked perfectly. The bathroom featured a bathtub and a full range of high-quality amenities (including dental kits, shaving kits, cotton pads, bath salts, etc.). Daily complimentary water (still and sparkling) was provided. Wi-Fi was fast and stable, and the overall room layout felt practical and premium. The only small drawback was that the shower/bath control system is somewhat unintuitive and could be simplified.
The spa and wellness area is another strong point: a long indoor pool suitable for swimming laps, a large whirlpool, sauna, and steam room. While seating and loungers are somewhat limited during busy times, the facilities are clean and well maintained. Towels are provided on site, and solid, reusable spa slippers (not disposable ones) are available. Bathrobes are already in the room.
One minor area for improvement would be the main lobby waiting area—additional complimentary water, small refreshments, charging points, or seating conveniences would elevate the arrival experience even further.
Overall, this was a very polished and comfortable stay with excellent service, strong attention to detail, and a particularly good Club Lounge offering. I would definitely return and can confidently recommend the Grand Hyatt Berlin for both business and leisure stays.
