I stayed at the Grand Hyatt Denver for 3 nights in November 2023 for a conference and enjoyed my stay here. The primary reason for this high rating is that I found the staff to be exceptionally polite. After I was given a room close to the elevator (1812), I asked to be placed into a different room. Although the hotel was close to capacity, in no small measure because of our conference that was being hosted there, the person at check-in, Joe, put me up in a different room much further from the elevator. Although I didn't end up having great sleep when I was there, that was not the hotel's fault in the least and I am certain that my sleep would have been worse if I had ended up in the room I was initially assigned to. Besides Joe, I also found one of the ladies cleaning the rooms to be very helpful. When I cut myself one morning as I was shaving, I went up to her (as she was in the hallway at that time) and ended up getting two band-aids for myself. Finally, when it came to checking out, the lady at the reception was able to accommodate my request for a late check out. All in all, I found each of the staff members I interacted with to be polite and very helpful.
As far as the food goes, I did not end up going for the breakfast buffet simply because I did not have that kind of time in the morning and so can't comment on its quality. However, I grabbed a hazelnut croissant one of the mornings when I was there and it was delicious. And on the very first night that I arrived at the hotel, I went for a flatbread and found that to my satisfaction.
By way of prices, I paid $201 for each night that I was there and with taxes and fees, the total came to approximately $700 for 3 nights. That isn't cheap by my standards but I do recall looking at other hotels close by that were as highly rated as the Grand Hyatt and from what I now remember, those other hotels were also roughly in the same price range. All in all, I would happily choose to stay at the Grand Hyatt if I found myself in Denver again.
