"Jakarta is an exotic place, to be sure, and many of its hotels are heavy on showmanship. But Jakarta is also the capital of Indonesia, a vast nation, and an important player in the global economy. As such, it needs a few no-nonsense business hotels, of which the Grand Hyatt is king. Fears of a bland and homogeneous hotel experience prove baseless, however; the Grand Hyatt is up to the standards of the best business hotels in any major city. The look is perhaps a bit less modern than that of the latest business hotels, incorporating traditional Indonesian materials and craftmanship. But this is no museum — every modern amenity is accounted for, from the electronic controls that run the 428 rooms and suites to the 24-hour business center and extensive conference facilities. The fitness/leisure center is beyond comprehensive, with an outdoor lagoon swimming pool that has to be seen to be believed, and several outdoor tennis courts - all right in the middle of one of the largest cities in the world. We recommend a drink on the terrace at sunset to the sound of the call to prayer from nearby mosques. Those of you being called will have better things to do, but others will also be touched by the multitude of voices calling it the end of a long and hot day. In fact everything one could wish for is on-site, or close at hand; the location is central, adjacent to the Plaza Indonesia (prime shopping territory) and close to a number of government offices and cultural institutions. Hey there! Just wanted to share my experience at the Grand Hyatt Jakarta from December 4th to 8th. It was an absolute delight! The location was fantastic - right next to Plaza Indonesia and Grand Indonesia. Imagine that! The breakfast was a real treat! They had a fantastic spread of local and western dishes. And let me tell you, their coffee was the best I’ve ever had. It was a special blend of Robusta and Arabian beans, and it was simply divine. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, even though it was a busy weekend with weddings and a trade seminar. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable stay. I want to extend a special thank-you to Miss Kezya and her entire team for making our experience so unforgettable . They truly went the extra mile to make sure we had a fantastic time. Thanks again for everything!

Mostly it’s nice(?). Bedroom’s cool. The gym is spacious and equipped. Yet, I was heavily dissapointed the first time we arrive. We had book them a week or two before from traveloka for 2 nights .We arrived at 3 like we have to and the room have not yet prepared. It’s fine and all. We wait around mall but we don’t get any call at all until 5. When we go to the reception, it’s not only us, alot of other guests had line up to complain about their booking haven’t not yet ready too. Some of them got angry and ask for refund. The worst thing is there’s only ONE GUY facing these angry guest, Idk where the others went. My parents did the same and ask for refund but the staff decline it because they say we’re booking from an unrefundable website (?). They try to make compensation by offering dinner and breakfast. My mother decline and try to ask why their room isn’t ready yet, is there a problem or reason? They said it’s because they are full (it’s christmast night). After that we keep waiting like a homeless in the mall. When we finally get our room? 7:45 at night. So basically we wait for 5 hours to get our room. Compensation? One morning breakfast for 3 people, no time extention for check out, for me it’s ridiculous. Our luguages also late, the staff have to call my parents to ask which luguage is ours. We also call to ask for extra blanket, they can’t give us and over bedsheet instead, we accepts and ask for two. They only give one. We ask again for the next night (they took it away after make up room) for TWO bed sheet, they give us one again. Probably the policy idk.

Overall an extremely poor experience. 2 nights here during Christmas. This has been our regular hotel for Christmas last 3 years, this will be the last time. Check in was rude - we arrived at the lounge thinking it was a 5.30pm start- we were not given a checkin brief on lounge times. We understand it’s 6pm and that’s no problem- but several Indonesians started wearing at 5.50pm- when we decided we should join in we were rudely told it was 6pm- however it was “tidak apa2 pak” to the Indonesians ! Ha. No drinks were offered and quality of lounge offerings dropped significantly. The same on the second night - food finished - some wine finished- food not restocked by 7.30pm - only 75% of the way through the 2 hour cocktail time. Poor! I think guests don’t want to hear excuses “sorry pak it’s busy” sure, it’s Christmas and people chose to spend millions per night for your hotel! Look- I stay in hotels over 100 nights a year. I reluctantly let my Hyatt Globalist go this year as most of my stays are at other properties due to company rules, but my personal is with Hyatt group. But - sorry this stay has really been sub par. Room - no complaints here and my early review on the hotel I say the room quality is still good as is the excellent gym But service is really 2 star Simple.

Great hotel, right in the heart of Jakarta. Fantastic garden with a number of outdoor swimming pools so you can "touch" country's nature. Extremely rich and diverse breakfast for everyone's taste - local, Indian, Japanese, Chinese, etc. Live band was playing every night in the cafe bar area, artists from St. Lucia and South Africa are extremely good and have produced wonderful shows every evening.

I stayed here in June with my husband.|I love the location, which is in the heart of Jakarta and conveniently connected to the Mall. So we could have dinner and lunch outside the hotel easily.|Actually, you do not need to go outside as the breakfast and lunch buffets are amazing!|So many options from Indonesian cuisine to Japanese and Western cuisine.|As I live in Japan, I missed bubur ayam and rujak. And they had it!||The hotel is newly renovated. The room was spacious. |Even though it is in a crowded area in Jakarta, we did not hear any noise that disturbed my sleep.|They have a swimming pool with Bali nuances.|Everything is clean, and the service was excellent. As expected, Hyatt hospitality.

It was my daughter's birthday, so we decided to stay at the Grand Hyatt for a quick staycation. We originally booked a regular room through the app, but when we checked in, the staff offered a win-win deal to upgrade to the Wicked-themed room. My daughters really enjoyed all the gimmicks, from the room decorations and welcome snacks to the green-pink details and even the costumes my younger daughter wore around the hotel. They had a lot of fun exploring everything. They had a lot of fun exploring everything. We did a lot of activities too, from afternoon tea and swimming to tennis. The staff were helpful and considerate, and I appreciated the little things they did to make our stay easier. For us, it was the perfect hotel for a getaway while still being in the city.

Outstanding Stay at Grand Hyatt Jakarta I had another excellent stay at the Grand Hyatt Jakarta. This was my third visit, most recently in December 2025, and it has truly become my go-to hotel in Jakarta. I stayed in room 2302, which was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The staff were consistently professional and friendly, the facilities were excellent, and the location—directly connected to Grand Indonesia Mall—is perfect. I highly recommend the Grand Hyatt Jakarta and will definitely return again.

We went to the Grand Hyatt Jakarta earlier this month for dinner with a friend and family. We live in the U.S. and were visiting Indonesia to see our relatives. The food was excellent, with a wide variety to choose from. What truly amazed us, however, was the Christmas décor, it’s always absolutely stunning. This was my second time visiting the Grand Hyatt Jakarta during the holiday season, and once again, their decorations stood out as the most beautiful among all places we’ve seen.
