I try to come here every year, and every year it’s a horrific experience with the most incompetent staff of any hotel in Jakarta.
I arrived at 4pm and the room was still not ready. As a Hyatt globalist, the absolute bare minimum I expect is that my room will be ready by the specified check in time of 3pm. The hotel was not even close to full occupancy, so there is no excuse.
They told me I could wait in the lounge for the room to be ready, where I could also have something to eat and drink. I went to the lounge and there were no staff working there (it requires keycard access to enter).
Finally, I found staff who called other staff who opened the door. It turns out there is nothing to eat or drink there and they had lied to me at check in.
Literally before even getting into a room, these staff made this stay a terrible experience.
The hotel is also incredibly musty and moldy, so there is not a single redeeming quality to the hotel or experience, despite being extremely overpriced.
Avoid this hotel like the plague.
