"Jakarta is an exotic place, to be sure, and many of its hotels are heavy on showmanship. But Jakarta is also the capital of Indonesia, a vast nation, and an important player in the global economy. As such, it needs a few no-nonsense business hotels, of which the Grand Hyatt is king. Fears of a bland and homogeneous hotel experience prove baseless, however; the Grand Hyatt is up to the standards of the best business hotels in any major city. The look is perhaps a bit less modern than that of the latest business hotels, incorporating traditional Indonesian materials and craftmanship. But this is no museum — every modern amenity is accounted for, from the electronic controls that run the 428 rooms and suites to the 24-hour business center and extensive conference facilities. The fitness/leisure center is beyond comprehensive, with an outdoor lagoon swimming pool that has to be seen to be believed, and several outdoor tennis courts - all right in the middle of one of the largest cities in the world. We recommend a drink on the terrace at sunset to the sound of the call to prayer from nearby mosques. Those of you being called will have better things to do, but others will also be touched by the multitude of voices calling it the end of a long and hot day. In fact everything one could wish for is on-site, or close at hand; the location is central, adjacent to the Plaza Indonesia (prime shopping territory) and close to a number of government offices and cultural institutions. I recently stayed at the Grand Hyatt Jakarta for 3 days and had a truly wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the service was impeccable. Special thanks to Mr. Paolo, who was exceptionally professional, kind, and attentive throughout my stay. He ensured everything went smoothly and made me feel very well taken care of. The hotel itself is elegant and well-maintained, with spacious rooms, excellent dining options, and a prime location in the heart of the city. Whether you're visiting for business or leisure, I highly recommend the Grand Hyatt Jakarta — and if you're lucky, you'll be assisted by Mr. Paolo, whose hospitality truly stands out.

Very Iconic hotel in Jakarta as it's situated right in the heart of the capital city. Though it's one of the oldest hotel in Jakarta as well, but it's well maintained and the service as well as the food is outstanding. They have wide variety of food to choose for breakfast, lunch and dinner. As if that the chef have their own surprise culinenary everyday in western, Japanese, Chinese and even traditional style cuisines which always ruined my diet. For our family, the other main attraction is its large and unique design of the swimming pool, makes you feel that you're elsewhere. Sitting by the window whilst looking at the "Bunderan HI" is also a priceless moment. Always happy to be here.

European prices, but in Europe they can't offer these kind people, great service and quality. Awesome breakfast and dinner options. Only feedback is that the airco could be more quiet. If I could give 6 stars I would. We love our stay here and will come back.

I have been traveling to Jakarta on regular basis since 2007 for work reasons. For all these years I only stayed in Grand Hyatt Jakarta. The rooms are clean and the staff are extremely helpful, especially the team at Grand Cafe where I have breakfast while staying there. It is well located making it easy to move around whichever direction your meetings are. It connects to Plaza Indonesia meaning that you can find everything you need at night without the need of a car. This is particular important for ladies who travel alone. Grand Hyatt Jakarta is truly my home away home in Jakarta.

We had a pleasant stay at Grand Hyatt and had a wonderful family vacation. The arrangement within the hotel is impressive, providing a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The room is spacious and cozy. The location is great. There is a big mall connected to the hotel and there is an indoor playground inside the mall which is perfect for family with kids. Every staff member was exceptionally friendly, especially towards the kids, making our stay even more enjoyable. Their attentiveness and warmth truly stood out. The live band in the lobby bar was a highlight of our stay, providing entertaining performances that added to the vibrant ambiance of the hotel. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations in every aspect, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and delightful stay.

My wife and I went for their breakfast buffet and the food and service is above excellent! Fantastic choice and superb in taste, I highly recommend to come here on an empty stomach. Mas Danis was top notch in serving us and making us feel comfortable. Highly and definitely recommend to come here on every Jakarta trip.

This was our first stay here, but we’ll definitely come back! Newly renovated, the hotel is very luxurious and makes for a comfy stay. The bed is very comfortable, my family slept very well on it. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Our room was upgraded to one with Bundaran view, and we love being able to look outside our room and see the Bundaran statue and fountain. One thing I absolutely loved about this hotel is its convenient location. Not only is it located in the middle of the city, but it’s also connected to a mall. The mall has a grocery store and drug store in the basement, and it’s so convenient to be able to grab snacks, an extra bottle of water, etc. My husband loves not having to leave air conditioning to get stuff, haha. Sarah was one of the housekeeping crew we interacted with, and she was super sweet and left us with a penguin towel that my son absolutely loved. Updated to add: after staying at another hotel in Bandung, I realized a couple more things that were great about this hotel—All of the outlets are universal outlets, so it’s great for international travelers. Also, not only do they provide a hair dryer on the bathroom, but the provided hair dryer is also one of a good quality.

Definitely 5 stars for me, but room is looking a little dated. Not having a rain shower in the toilet was a surprise Their gym is incredibly stocked - kudos for that Love the large pool. Families will have a ball here
