We had an extremely disappointing experience hosting our event at the Grand Hyatt. Despite contributing significant revenue, the treatment we received from the staff and management was unacceptable and deeply unprofessional.
During our event, the air conditioning in the main banquet hall—the largest in the hotel—was deliberately turned off, causing guests to become uncomfortable and prompting many to leave early. This appeared to be a calculated move to force an early closure of the event, which is simply unacceptable for a property of this stature.
Furthermore, the hotel management displayed a complete lack of courtesy toward the newlywed couple. A staff member banged on the door of the bridal suite at 10 AM demanding that the room be vacated, despite the official checkout time being 12 PM. This behavior was entirely disrespectful.
The overall attitude of the banquet team and management was dismissive, as if hosting our event was a burden to them rather than a responsibility. Security personnel even shouted at the bride and groom during their photoshoot, creating an embarrassing and distressing scene in front of our guests.
Basic services like water and room service required multiple follow-ups and took over an hour to arrive—completely unacceptable for a hotel that claims to offer five-star service.
In summary, our experience with Grand Hyatt was far below expectations, marked by poor hospitality, lack of professionalism, and unacceptable behavior from the staff. I strongly advise against hosting any event at this property.
