Grand Hyatt Sao Paulo (Sao Paulo, Brazil) 6 Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Sao Paulo may be an old city with plenty of historical flavor, but don't expect to find any opulent old-world hotels. Two competing hotel concepts have dominated for the last few years, through the city's boom (and subsequent glut) of construction. There are the ever-fashionable boutique hotels, beacons of Brazilian modernism, and there are the big business hotels in the contemporary international style." - Tablet Hotels

What a great hotel! From the minute I walked in, it was obvious that customer care was at the forefront of the staffs' mind. I was quickly checked in - I had been given an upgraded room for being a Globalist member and the room was lovely. Huge bathroom, and living room suite.||The executive lounge was also magnificent - one of the best I have stayed in recently - the choice of food was great - they had cocktails made while you watched and the atmosphere was good. Breakfast was also a treat - a haven of calm!||I had a massage at the hotel and it was of good quality - they also had a nice shop.||Overall I loved this hotel and I will be back.

Great hotel with amazing city views from the room. The location is excellent, close to business areas and shopping, but be aware: traffic to the airport can be heavy, especially during rush hour, so plan ahead. Overall, a comfortable and scenic stay in São Paulo.

We had a wonderful stay at the Grand Hyatt São Paulo! We originally booked a standard room, but to our surprise, we were upgraded to a beautiful suite with an amazing view from the window — truly a highlight of our stay! The service throughout the hotel was excellent, and we felt safe and well taken care of the entire time. The staff were kind and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. The only small downside was that the elevators were a bit slow, but that’s a minor thing compared to everything else. I’d especially like to thank the team at the Club Lounge on the 20th floor — such a great space to relax and enjoy the view. A special shoutout to the waitress with the braid — she was extremely professional, warm, and attentive. Her service really stood out! The only thing to keep in mind is that the hotel is a bit far from the main international airport, but if that’s not an issue for you, I highly recommend staying here.

The Grand Hyatt Sao Paulo has an incredible staff across the board to help make your staff a wonderful experience. From the lobby staff to the Grand Club lounge to the Spa/Fitness Center/Pool areas and housekeeping. Oh, and the Fitness Center on the Spa floor is NO JOKE! It's the real thing and I got in two really good training sessions across a six night stay...followed by truly excellent massages! The hotel itself has very well-designed rooms with a wonderful walk in rainfall shower and plentiful elevators. The neighborhood itself has an upscale and very large mall and there is a convenience store less than five minute walk away with a very plentiful assortment of items. This was my second stay here and I definitely hope to make this a getaway location for relaxation at least once a year

My second wonderful stay at this fabulous hotel. Great service and great food!||||There were many staff members that were very helpful, but the most helpful were Ruana and Sophia from the concierge team. The sushi chef, Nelson Tamaña, was amazing. His service and food preparation was excellent!

Good stay with very helpful staff and excellent location that is near to Mall, Restaurants. Hotel room was clean and organized. Loved the stay in the hotel. Used the restaurants, especially the Sushi Restaurant is a must go. Liked the fact that they have separate gym for Strength and Cardio.

We felt incredibly welcomed from the get-go! Every staff member were attentive and despite us not knowing how to speak Portuguese, we didn’t feel like language was a barrier. Everyone were extremely wonderful!||They made our Brazil trip an extra special one!

Google
Stayed at the Hyatt for a conference. The property and service are great. Nonetheless, I will not rate location, only because it is not recommended to go out on foot and anything by car takes a long time. None of this is the problem of the hotel, it seems to be a Sao Paulo issue.

Yelp
Big conference hotel. The location is good for work, but far away from where you want to be after work. Huge breakfast spread, lots of options and plenty of fresh fruits. Keep in mind breakfast is not included for every rate so plan accordingly. Nice lounge, but the food is a bit weak, i wouldn't count on eating there. Rooms are good size and some have a nice view. Nothing special, but they are clean and have all the necessary basics.

Yelp
The Grand Hyatt São Paulo is located along the Pinheiros River in Southwest Sao Paulo. The hotel is absolutely beautiful but is remotely located and will require a taxi or rideshare to everywhere you go. There is a nice public train that runs close to the hotel and will connect you to the other parts of the transit system, including subway lines. The cost is 5 Real, one way, cash preferred. As is most 5 star hotels, we were greeted as we pulled up in our car and was offered luggage service, with a smile. We were warmly greeted by Sophie at the front desk. She was extremely friendly and helpful, announcing a big upgrade to the club level floor while she explained our American Express fine hotel benefit. She made the check in process stress free and pleasant. The room, 2027, had an amazing view of the bridge, Ponte Estaiada Octavio Frias de Oliveira. The furnishings were slightly dated but still functioned well. The room was clean and smelled great. It was a large room with a nice desk and oversized nightstands on each side of the bed. There were lots of plugs, but most were not universal plugs, so be sure to bring a European adaptor. There were two US/BRAZIL plugs but be sure your device can accept 220V or be prepared to fry the thing you plug in! The kind sized bed had high quality sheets and a selection of foam and feather pillows. The room temperature showed 18C (64F) did not seem right. It felt closer to 73F, which is hot for us when there is no airflow in the room. We requested and quickly received a fan which helped with the temperature. The bathroom was huge with a 10-foot rain shower, toilet, bidet, large tub, and huge closet with built in safe. They supply nice cotton robes and flip flops. The hotel uses single use toiletries, which was a bit disappointing for a modern, 5 star hotel. The supplied single use toiletries were larger but lacked the quality feel (and smell) of something in a 5 star hotel. The one exception was the bar glycerin soap, which was the only bathroom item that was geared for a higher end hotel. The Grand Club, located on our floor, was very nice. The staff, led by Ernesto during the day, was super accommodating and friendly. The evening crew was just as nice. A nice surprise was the availability of liquor in addition to wine and beer. They also make specialty drinks by request, a nice touch and something most loyalty lounges have eliminated. The location of this hotel is NOT ideal but the service that this hotel provides more than makes up for having to get a car to everywhere! The hotel deserves a 5 star rating.

Yelp
I do not know much about the hotel options in this area but the Grand Hyatt is a good one. All of the staff members were helpful. The room had a comfortable bed, mini refrigerator, desk, a spacious bathroom and a beautiful view. The spa was a nice experience and the food and drinks at the restaurant were good. If you are looking for a place to stay in São Paulo, check this hotel out.

Yelp
Situated next to a highway makes the hotel less quiet/relaxing. The breakfast buffet is good and not too much variety. My suggestions to help improve guest experience: Provide more areas where guests can sit and work, outside of their room. Play music at the outdoor pool area to mask the road noise from the highway. Improve the WiFi at the outdoor pool area.

Yelp
Loved it, loved it, loved it. Totally recommend. Excellent service, food and hospitality. Clean, friendly and in a good location. I would definitely stay here again. I had great WIFI and the room service was great. The spa service was good and so were the pool areas. Please book your stay here, you will not regret it.

Yelp
Wonderful hotel in the city of São Paulo with amazing, polished customer service. The food was good, albeit there is room for improvement. Overall, I was impressed with both the "hard and soft product" of the hotel. Highly recommended!

Yelp
I am a World of Hyatt elite member and I am a fan of the brand. I've stayed in all levels: Hyatt Place, Hyatt Regency, Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Centric, and Park Hyatt. We stayed overnight at the Grand Hyatt Sao Paolo in March 2019 and enjoyed every minute. The room was spacious and while it did not have USB charging outlets, it did have a desk area, fridge and most importantly, the bathroom had a bidet feature. YES!!! All hotels really need to have this. I love that Brazil really understands this! We had a king room on the 21st floor which had access to the Grand Club. The club was excellent. The food and service were top notch and reminded me of the exquisite service experienced in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong. The club has evening hors d'oeuvres and breakfast in the morning. The selection of food is nice but really the service is what takes it over the top. The service is outstanding with people anticipating your every need. The view from our room was lovely we had a city view of the many city sky scrapers. The location seems to be in a more business-centric part of the city - not sure about what restaurants or shopping are nearby. The hotel was about an hour car ride from the airport. We took an Uber to dinner and found the traffic in Sao Paulo to be atrocious - so please keep this in mind as you're planning. Overall great stay and would definitely return.

Yelp
My company held a conference at the Grand Hyatt, and I stayed here for about a week. The check-in process was seamless and the concierge staff gave us some helpful maps of the area that led us to one of very few souvenir shops that I've yet to find in Sampa. The breakfast buff let is included, which is great. It features a wide spread of fruit, breads, made-to-order omelettes, cereals, soups, meats, and more. The wait staff are very friendly and usually easy to find. Note: I found it much easier to communicate in Portuguese than English here (not surprising). The rooms are quite nice and feature a layout that's pretty common among Grand Hyatts, with a large shower with a rainforest shower head. As others have mentioned, getting a taxi or Uber from right in front of the hotel can be really difficult, but that's more a function of São Paulo's horrendous traffic than any fault of the hotel. It is easier to walk a few blocks out to one of the other main streets to get a car, though. My one bone to pick is with the housekeeping staff, who sometimes only leave one towel or don't refresh everything the way it was before. Outside of that, I really enjoyed this venue.

Yelp
Great luxurious hotel, amazing spa, wonderful loyalty lounge. I love the Granados soaps/lotion/shampoo. Had a 90 minute massage that was just heavenly. They really treat you well in the loyalty lounge for breakfast and happy hour. Casual restaurant so-so; food okay, did not care for balsamic chicken but they replaced it with a reliable burger. Service a little inattentive when it got busy. Would be nice if there was a gift shop or food items in mini bar as hotel is very isolated in business district.

Yelp
The Grand Hyatt São Paulo is gorgeous! The gym is state-of-the-art and features an indoor pool. The Amanary Spa is incredible! The spa has seven suites each equipped with hydrotherapy showers. Fantastic high-quality therapeutic facials and massages. The guest rooms are large, comfortable, and quiet. The showers in the bathrooms are amazing! The traffic is brutal in São Paulo but this hotel is a stress-free sanctuary. This is a fabulous hotel for business. Allow two to three hours to get to the São Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport due to traffic. You may even spot a celebrity guest (including presidents and rock legends) while you are staying here. Love this hotel!!! www.saopaulo.grandhyatt.com

Yelp
I have to say this is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. Great service, great food. I had an issue with my room and they quickly upgraded me to a new room with great views. This must be one of the best hotels in São Paulo Many thanks.

Yelp
Excellent rooms and friendly front desk staff. Room service quick and tasty. Breakfast buffet is quite nice. Location is good, although the access road for the hotel is heavily trafficked during rush hours. You may spend upward of 20-30 min just going around the block at peak times. This is a function of SP's terrible traffic rather than any fault of the hotel. I used uber to get around and it was far better than relying on taxis.

Yelp
LOVE this hotel. Stay every time i go to Brazil for business. Beautiful.. and service is impeccable.

Yelp
This Hotel really, really shocked me. Rooms were very, VERY large, floor to ceiling windows, views ALL around... extremely spacious, very quiet...breathtaking views of a city that really isn't truly appreciated until you are high above it. I will stay there again next time in Sao Paolo, no question about it. If you are an F1 fan, it's 15 minutes from Interlagos (Formula 1 Circuit) also is about 6 minutes from the grave of the late Ayrton Senna. Nothing to walk to, but walking isn't generally advised in this area (as a tourist, that is)

Yelp
What a beautiful and upscale establishment this is. Located in a good neighborhood and the hotel itself is huge, with an excellent restaurant that serves awesome breakfast, lunch and dinner. Lots of space for conference halls and meetings.

Yelp
Very quite room which is key during business travel where you are 4 hours out of your time zone
